Not Just a Bar

My new favorite place. Had the Beef Wellington last night and it was fabulous! Great vibe at this place. Love it!

Me and my friend Masha went to not just a bar to have breakfast. They we’re only serving lunch at the time but the bartender said we could order breakfast and she would go next door and pick it up for us. Masha ordered the monster omelette and she loved it. I ordered the meat lovers omelette and it was fantastic. I wanted to get the manhole cover pancake which is about 18 inches round, but Masha did not want to split that with me so we each had omelets. I would recommend this place for breakfast anytime.

Sorry for my first time here it was kind of disappointing. The bartender had to ask me three times what I was drinking… really it was just a beer. I got my drink and a nenu. Ordered the special cheap burger of the night it was ok. Had to wait quite some time for my add ons. .lettuce.tomato.mayo. no big deal. I asked for a honey bourbon. .was asked if drambui would be ok? Odd? Had to ask for my check twice then I asked if there was desert. I was offered a few pies. .I ordered one with coffee… he said they were out if coffee but brought my pie. No silverware just pie… he waited on a, few more folks while I watched the pie. I finally got my check with my pie still sitting there untouched… I had no way to eat it. Lol I just left the cash and the pie. Bummer I heard it wad good. Not a great night… will not be going back any time soon. You need observant help in today’s competitive restaurant world. Sorry

The owners of Not Just A Café purchased the old Perro Creek Tavern. They are offering up top notch made from scratch food and I love every morsel of it. My mom is from the deep south and cooks biscuits better than anybody I know — the little gems they have perfected at this place would give her a run for her money. Shut my hole — sorry mama but it’s the truth. We enjoyed the mess which was soft tender biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs with some onion and peppers mixed in on a bed of taters. Oh it just made our belly really happy on a Saturday morning. Prices are really reasonable also and the coffee was delicious. I think I will be returning here frequently and so glad it is just over the river and through the woods.
