Good quality food, large extensive menu with specials. A bit pricey for a diner. Friendly staff, the waiter tried to make a joke when the food came out, I didn’t get it but I appreciated the attempt. Ordered a coffee and he made sure my cup was filled, however I had to ask for water when both of my cups went empty. I ordered the Greek veggie burger combo with sweet potato fries. Super large portion and the patty was avocado based which I thought was super delicious. Also, the bathrooms were super clean

Went there expecting it to be alright, staff was alright, but waiter was alittle too loud for having not too much people. My burger came alittle later than expected. The food my cousins and I ate wasnt bad. I did enjoy the burger. But not the best I had so far. My cousin didnt like the blue cheese on his burger, said it tasted weird. As I got out of the booth, I stepped on plastic wrap and a jam. Kinda gives off the vibe that they dont really clean the place too often. Did a decent job on water. But felt kinda rushed.

Not amazing, but not bad either. I think the reason why I keep coming back here is because of its large space(so it’s great for big crowds), pretty good service and convenience. My parents like to come here for large family gatherings when there’s a holiday. That’s one that I can applause about bayside diner — they are open during holidays. I remember coming here last year on Christmas Eve and this year, I came during thanksgiving. The waiters are great about getting you coffee, water and all your food. They’re quick, efficient and there are so many of them that it works out. If you request something like extra crispy fries, which I did, they remember and come back to check in on you. The food may not be amazing, but the service is great that I always come back. If you were to get anything, I’d say the breakfast menu is probably the best. You can’t go wrong with some eggs and waffles.

Delicious food and great service. I only come here on weekends and this place is always packed. There’s valet parking too! Surprising good is their fried chicken strips. Don’t know what seasonings they use but the fried chicken tastes delicious. Get it with waffles or salads.

Stopped in Bayside Diner this morning for breakfast. It’s my first time here. I ordered two breakfast platters. Bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, ham, grits, and a side of white toast. For $ 11 – 12 dollars, it’s pretty expensive for this little portion of food. Bacon was hard as a rock. Nothing tasted hot off the griddle. Only the grits was good. The service was okay. I found everything to be very disappointing to say the least. For $ 30 including tip, I expected a better and fuller breakfast meal. Verdict — I still dislike every diner in this city. Nothing beats diners in the suburbs. I was hoping Bayside Diner to be more enjoyable. It always looks so busy because their parking lot always looks so full but when we dined in, the diner was really empty.

The staff is rude but that’s not the worst of it. When I came here for breakfast one day, my order came with home fries. The home fries tasted funny, like it went sour, but I thought it was the butter. A couple days later my sister happened to order for delivery from Bayside diner and got breakfast. The home fries actually tasted normal, confirming that THEYSERVEDMEFOODTHATHADGONEBAD. I came here for another day with my boyfriend, we got seated next to a the dessert shelf. When I looked to my side there was a piece of HUGEMOLD on a slice of pound cake, it was so disgusting. I did not say anything because I didn’t want to cause a scene and God knows what they’ll do to my food. I have not gone back since and will never go back. I recommend Blue Bay Diner. The staff/service is much better and friendlier, the food is better, I’ve gone there plenty of times and never had a bad experience.

Decent diner in the Bayside area. I usually just go for the simple order of eggs, bacon and well done home fries. Their corned beef hash is good as well. Regarding cleanliness, they can be better with the silverware…

Had dinner with my family on a Saturday night. Service was good and everyone was friendly. I ordered a linguine carbonara w/chicken, my mom ordered a cheeseburger, and my aunt ordered fried chicken and calamari as appetizer. And for the soup, we had clam chowder. The soup and the calamari were alright. Though I wish the calamari have that crunchy texture. Our main course arrived and everything looked great, however, there were alot of problems with all of our dishes. The burger was super dry and bland. The fried chickens were dry and bland. The linguine was just bland. You know where I’m going this, right? THEREWASNOSEASONING. Aren’t we suppose to have food not only that looks good but taste good as well and already seasoned. Not gonna waste my money on tasteless food.

I was an overall fan. Service was quiet and prices and were a bit much but bayside is such a nice area. Loved that this place has parking. I always look for that. Good food nothing knocking my socks off but solid diner fare. Cool recycled glass counter area too.

I came here for the first time and heard good things about it from friends. Ordered a California Omelette with high expectations. I’m usually good with omelettes… but somehow this one was dry and bland with with huge chunks of vegetables that made it seem like it was rushed. At least the service was great.

Beautiful interior décor, always quick and friendly service, with a very extensive menu. You don’t get the old school diner feel when you come in here. They did a great job with their renovations a few years ago. The service is always super friendly, and always prompt. The menu is huge and can be overwhelming because if your hungry, you want everything! Of all the diners in the bayside area… I recommend checking this one out for sure!

I haven’t eaten at Bayside Diner in a while… at least 10 months. I usually frequent Blue Bay instead. But earlier this morning, after a satisfying workout at the gym with my buddy, we decided to grab breakfast here. We were the first customers of the day. lol We both had a cup of coffee for starters. And my friend ordered the breakfast sampler platter, while I had the Nutella & Banana pancakes. After just one sip, I knew immediately that I prefer the coffee at Blue Bay Diner; much less watered down. Or perhaps it was a bad pot. I don’t know. Whatever. Our food came soon after. My friend’s breakfast sampler platter looked very appealing. with bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. Very generous portion size, only for about $ 10 and change. My Nutella pancake was AWFUL. Very disappointing! First of all, the Nutella, didn’t even taste normal. It was just a chocolate spread, barely any hint of the fragrant hazelnut in the spread that was on my pancakes. I only had a few bites and I was done… couldn’t finish it. Guess I know where I’m NOT going for breakfast anymore. –_-”

Conveniently located, decently priced, stays open reasonably late. Food is just ok. Things haven’t been the same since they changed management and menu a couple years ago. Got the French Dip… this is not how you do a French dip. and the au jus was more gravy than jus… I ended up dipping my fries in it. Fries are good though. The burgers and soups are generally pretty decent. One of my friends loves the matzoh ball soup but nothing here is really worth writing home about. The service is usually really good, so yay for that

Came to Bayside Diner with a bunch of friends for Breakfast. We got here around 10:30am and the place was packed! There is valet parking in the front of the Diner but we skipped the valet and opted for street parking nearby.(btw there are tons of street parking if you drive a block down) Service was good and waiters were attentive and they come around and fill up your coffee and water quite often. The manager also came around the dining area to check how everyone is doing with their food. The place was very clean and seems like they clean the place on a regular bases. The food was on the pricier end(around $ 9-$ 15 for breakfast, depending on what you order) in comparison to other Diners around the area but the quality is on par which makes the price okay. The food were excellent– I ordered the Mushroom and Broccoli omelette and asked for my home fries to be extra crispy– I always order it that way but most diners never fully accommodate the extra crispy request but not Bayside Diner, my home fries came out extra crispy and flavorful! The omelette honestly tasted the same pretty much everywhere you go but I actually like Bayside Diner’s since they don’t pour a whole bottle of salt into your omelette. Overall a great place to eat, although the price is on the pricier end but with their service and quality of food serve, it’s definitely worth the visit.

One of the better diners in Queens and like the others has a humongous menu that rivals War & Peace. Just be glad you won’t be tested on it at the end of the meal. Wedged in the middle of the menu tome are the specials of the day offered for lunch & dinner, which are usually pretty good. The breakfast here is pretty solid and my favorite is the corned beef hash. We usually come for dinner when we can’t make a decision on what to eat and we know Bayside offers up a variety to satisfy everybody. The portions are HUGE to live up to the size of their menu. You’ll most likely end up taking some of it home anyway. Case in point, the Chicken Francaise or Veal Marsala are usually served over rice or pasta. 3 huge pieces of meat(each the size of your hand) will blanket whatever you have underneath and you won’t see a grain of rice or strand of linguine until you dig in. Specials will come with soup or salad as well as a potato & vegetable. If you have room for dessert, good luck. Nobody ever leaves here hungry! When paying the bill last time and grabbing one of their free cookies by the register, I glanced into the dessert case and saw something unusual, a baklava cheesecake. Whatisthis?! Either dessert by itself is a sugary high, but fused into one, just boggles the mind! My blood sugar level is going up just thinking about it. Gonna have to try it next time though!

One of the better diners in the area. The food is good and the service isn’t bad. You could easily spend $ 20 a person, so I would highly recommend you get their daily specials.
