The food was okay, a millions times better than Donavan’s that’s for sure! It’s a nice small restaurant where you can sit enjoy music and food. The kitchen is open later so that’s awesome !!! The bar has a nice design to it with different ages walking in and out daily. Their food is a little too pricy but other than that it’s the spot to eat relax and release some stress after work.

We went there on a Saturday night to have a drink and ended up dancing for hours. What a fun place

Been here numerous times since I was younger. The bar is great on a Saturday night, playing 90s music which I love. I think as im getting older im moving away from thd bar scene but this place is great.

Brian Dempsey’s has to be the absolute worst establishment I’ve been to on Bell blvd. I came in at 3:30 and ordered two drinks with my friend, and the bartender was rude as hell. How does she expect to get any tips with and attitude. I set my drink down to step out and make a phone call, for my ride back, which took 5 minutes. Then, when trying to come back in, the bouncer said all exits were final. I exclaimed that my drink was untouched and I wanted to finish it; I paid for it after all. He looked in for a sec, and said no drink here buddy, barback must have tossed it. I didn’t even take a single sip! What a waste of $ 15. I will never EVER come back here. No barback in their right mind would toss an untouched drink. The straw cover was still on it. There’s better places to spend your money, and Brian Dempsey’s is at the bottom of that list.

This is a great bar good food and really cute bartenders but there is a problem every bartender charges what the want even though they have a touch pos system i order a coors light bottle from one bartender it was 4 dollars then a another bartender charged me 5 a half hour later and this was not during happy hour the owner needs to set some price guidlines for his employees but otherwise its a great bar

I didn’t think a dive bar could be so bad. I went in on a Thursday night with some friends and really wanted to just walk right out. But one of them made a request at the DJ, so we stayed for a drink. The place was so loud that we could barely hear each other talk. The owner kept telling the DJ to make it even louder. I ordered the grapefruit shandy off of their tap list and boy was it watered down. Not worth it for $ 8, or even $ 2. Waitress was pretty quick with our orders but not so friendly.

Came here with my husband for a late lunch on a Monday and it was surprisingly great. Had a craving for some wings and they were just what we wanted, the right type of crispy and moist. My husband enjoyed his burger and I was very surprised at how good the penne ala vodka was(very close to what you would get at a Italian restaurant which I really wasn’t expecting from a bar). All of the above plus a great waiter made for an amazing lunch. Would definitely go back.

Went there for football Sunday two weeks ago. The food is definitely good for bar food standards. I had the steak/eggs/home fries combo, and it was better than I would think for a bar. I later had a grilled cheese which was fine as well. For football it’s good since they have access to all the games, as well as NFL Red Zone. I went there during the Jets game but they still accommodated my group with putting on Red Zone on one of the TV’s, and the Eagles game on another. Would come back.

Sigh. I don’t think I’ll come back. I really don’t. It’s not because the beer selection is poor(it’s not the best), and it’s not because the wings aren’t good(25cents on Sunday but waaaay too dry and over cooked); it’s because of the extremely poor service. I get it, it’s Sunday afternoon and you have a bunch of patrons waiting on beers and food, but I’m fairly certain there were only two waitresses/servers + the manager/owner(?). Now the size of the place(it’s cozy) may make that the perfect number of servers, but awful communication left me and my party waiting way too long whether it was for water, for beer or for the check. Having to ask an average of 3 – 4 times for everything, and then giving up when you realize you won’t ever get one of your items will always leave a bad taste in your mouth. 25 cent wings are great and all and if you like Coor’s Light(I don’t know what’s wrong with you if you do), this may be the place for you on Sunday. But even those deals can’t make up for the experience. The buffalo wings were good, but the BBQ sauce wasn’t at all. The one great thing about Brian Dempsey’s is that they have Traveler’s Pumpkin, which I have had trouble finding. If you like craft beers and the seasonal pumpkin spice, you should definitely get a Traveler’s. I promise that you won’t regret it. Maybe I’ll try again at some point, but it’s pretty safe to say that my Sunday’s and my Mets games(LETSGOMETS!) will be spent a block away at Safari Beach Club.

I have been going to Dempsey’s forever. Love the wings and the steak sliders. Love my waitresses & bartenders. Super friendly. A must go to place just to chillax & watch sports.

Bell boulevard is filled with plenty of bars, but Dempsey’s will alway have a special place in my heart. The wait staff and bartenders just make me feel like I’m home. Food wise they’re alway doing some sort of special– $ 15 steak, 50¢ wings, $ 1 tacos ext. The wings are solid; classic bar wings. The tacos on the other hand were dry, and just not very good at all. The prices are reasonable, the food is good, but the staff wins me over.

There are a few times when I travel to Bayside, Queens. There are a few places worth the treck and this is one of them. This would my first visit and I had a great time. I came on a Friday night and they had a dj. The music was a mix of freestyle, hip hop reggaeton and pop. I was loving it. We hadn’t had dinner so we opted to sit down and try their food. The host was super friendly. Everyone was super friendly. The waiter was awesome and accomodating. You know they care for their patrons. What a great establishment. For dinner we ordered a Brian Dempsey burger with bacon and a grilled cheese stacker. The food was great. The fries could be crispier, but overall good. The drinks were good. It kept the party going plus the music. I had a great time. Note: they do have daily specials. It was a nice and chill bar/restaurant. I will be returning.

Yes! I don’t go to bars very often because I typically don’t like the atmosphere. That being said, I found this place to be amazing! Came super late on a Friday night/Saturday morning. There was some excitement going on but it wasn’t too crowded. There was a DJ spinning some pretty good tunes, and the music was super, super loud. I know it’s a bar, but damn! Can’t a homegirl keep her eardrums?! lol Our bartender was super attentive & was able to accommodate my weird alcohol requests. Really, she made several adjustments to my tequila sunrise so that I could not only drink it, but enjoy it. Surprisingly, the food was really good! We got chicken & steak quesadillas and they were super fresh and tasty. Was not expecting that from bar food. Like I said, I don’t even really go to bars but I am soooo into this place!

this bar/resturant is located on the sprawl that is Bell Blvd in the Bayside Queens area. many bars and eateries to choose from and I have been a patron to most at one time or another. a place usually has to knock my socks off or piss me off something fierce to write a review and Dempsey’s is the former. the staff is polite and friendly, the steak and chicken quesadilla is literally the best I’ve ever had, like, ever. and I’ve had quesadillas in Mexico and all across the U.S. they will stock a specific vodka(cough, American Harvest, cough) if it’s delicious and you request it often enough like I did. come in any day of the week and get the steak and chicken quesadilla and tell me I’m wrong. I dare you.

Been coming do Dempsey’s for many years and it’s like the bar that time forgot. It’s the same now as 15 years ago. The cold is decent, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the jukebox has a load of randomness on it. Many weekends feature live music and an older crowd for the early part of the night. It’s a Bell Blvd institution for a reason.

$ 5 burgers every Monday? I approve. But you won’t be thrilled about their $ 12 mixed drinks. They only serve domestic beer, which is quite a deal-breaker given that almost every other bar on the Bell Blvd strip has a craft beer selection. Additionally, service has been terrible every time I’ve visited. One time, our waitress was too busy hanging out with her friends a few tables away for most of our stay. Another time, the bartender had a rude mouth with everyone who talked to her. Sorry, not coming back.

I just called Brian Dempsey’s to find out what the Tuesdays specials were. The girl on the phone rudely picked up the phone and said«The specials for tonight are a big«f***ing» dick. I was in shock! I called a second time thinking I had called the wrong number and they hung up on me after asking the same question. Not only am I confused but I’m in complete shock.

Ordered food from here a couple of times. Not disappointed. They only have take out… no deliveries. Their mushroom burgers are pretty dope. I also had their wings for the first time. They were pretty awesome. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. I do recommend this place for take out. Got to try the other stuff on the menu.

Like the previous Unilocaler stated, I can’t believe I haven’t written a review on this place. I’ve been here a few times on Sunday’s when the wings are a special price. I agree this place has the best wings on bell. The honey BBQ are my favorites! Have been craving wings so I will be there on Sunday!
