So my boyfriend dropped of his car yesterday morning, ²⁄₁₂. Long story short he had to leave his car overnight because he had to go to work etc etc. So last night after my boyfriend got out of work he was driving home with his dad and to his surprise the car in front of his at 1:00 am, yes that’s correct ONE IN THE MORNING. When he approached the mechanic in his car he said he was going for a ‘test drive’. He followed the car back to the shop to find that the driver/​mechanic was STONED DRIVING HIS CAR. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! He has given this place a number of chances after the first incident where someone smoked a cigarette in his car!!! This is unacceptable behavior and needs to be addressed by someone in management ASAP. I am shaking writing this review as I am furious and would like others to be aware of who they trust their car with.

brought may 1995 truck into day 2÷3÷16 for a brake problem. faster service i could not ask for. the best place for repairs by far. friendly courteous most of all honest. i will recommend tony and milian to all my friends and anyone who needs a great place for auto repairs

I am very particular about who works on my vehicle. Former gear head and all… Tony is the best! He will always take the time to tell you what is going on with your car, and he has excellent mechanics, they all do great work. If you don’t take the time to take care of your car, you will not get good service out of it! I prefer Tony and his staff to anyone else in the area…

I have two cars that I’ve taken there and have never had an issue or problem with there work. As a matter of fact I’ve gone there after calling MB dealer and hard the work done at less than half the price. They are straightforward and honest

Terrible experience this morning. I dropped the car off yesterday at 6:15 a.m., letting Prela know that I’d be around this morning at the same time to pick it up. I arrive today only to find out that my car was taken home by one of the mechanics because the rear air conditioning issue could not be figured out.
The older guy apologized and I was told that the car would be back in fifteen minutes. I waited 45 minutes for the car to come back from the mechanic’s home. Two mechanics came out of the car. Either they live together or one picked up another, but it’s disheartening nonetheless.
Not sure what is more disturbing: that the mechanics took the car for some type of joy ride without my consent or the fact that I waited 45 minutes for a «15 minute wait» because someone over promised and under delivered. Not the first time I’ve been disappointed, but hopefully the last.
The rear air conditioning system blowing hot air out appears to be an intermittent problem that isn’t easy to fix, so I totally understand if it couldn’t be figured out. What I do not appreciate, however, is the mechanics using my car for their own transportation without telling me. Who knows what else goes on while I am not there? Maybe not much, but how does anyone expect any customer to trust anyone ever again?
This is not to say that they do a poor job with vehicles. I’ve been generally satisfied with the vehicle servicing itself, but everything else matters, too.

I have a new car and had awful experiences over at the dealer mechanic. The car is under warranty and they’re asking for money!
Meanwhile on the older car I had a repair at Prela done right and without drama, and a couple of inspections on both my cars without the «you need brakes» or any other upsell.
Even now (second review) I’m staying happy.

Good service, reasonable pricing… came here for the 1^st a while back ago… didn’t have time to write a review until now… I got an oil change. Told them i thought there may be an oil leak because I had to refill 4 quarts of oil the other day. They did the oil change… tightened up my oil pan and some other stuff… And its been a little over a month… I’ve had no problems =)

My mom and I dropped off my car which was due for a NY inspection on the last day of September. I dropped it off at another local shop but did not know that NYS had gotten so strict about it. The other shop could not do it and since I did not have the time, my mom dropped it off at Prela. We were able to pick it up the very next day at 7 in the morning. I appreciate the effort and time they put in to renew my NYS inspection!

First off, I was really grateful that they agreed to do a wheel alignment for me when I drove in. They were packed and an hour from closing. The issue was how reckless they drive their customers cars and their own cars in the lot. I even saw one of the workers smoking and entered a car to move it.
I believe it was the owner that drove our car and scraped the rear tires on their curb. Almost missed the track for the lift in the rear tires. I was really worried that the car was going to drop. No apology whatsoever.
It was great that they were able to help us with the car on such short notice, but the recklessness and care for everyones cars turned me off. It might have been because they were close to closing time, but shouldnt be a reason.
Overall in my experience I realize they are nice people, just reckless with the cars but gets the job done.

These guys are awesome! To make a long story short, my power steering was making a crazy noise and I brought my car in to see if they could help. Right away they point out a rare problem and help me right away. I thought it was gonna be a $ 600 – 700 repair and walked out paying $ 35 with a fixed problem. They were straight up, honest, and extemely helpful from the begining. I think I just found my new neighborhood mechanic.

Great place, Tony the owner is a very nice guy, got me in and out, quick and painless. I’ll definitely be back should anything else come up with my vehicle.

Tony and his team are wonderful. I live in Boston but any time I am home and have an issue they take care of me right away. Recently they fixed a small issue at no cost and even filled my tires with air. Great place!

These guys seem honest and like the fact that they don’t treat me like an airhead because I am a woman. I will be back!

Unbelievably fantastic service! The owner, besides being charming and handsome, has tremendous knowledge and INTEGRITY, a rare combo in auto repair guys. I had 2 car problems. He diagnosed and fixed within 10 min. And didn’t charge me! I had to pinch myself! Car repair heaven! This guy (Anthony, the owner) is a JEWEL!

Tony is the owner and his employees are very honest and reliable people.
I have never seen, for years anyone of them trying to tell you anything that is not the truth.
They are very reasonable people and they simply do the BEST JOB you can get anywhere around Flushing, Bayside, and vicinity.

Extremely helpful and nice owner. I brought my car in after it was squeaking and rattling like a mo-​fo. They took a look at it and for NO CHARGE replaced the ball-​joint.
I cannot complain at all and will be a repeat customer if my Honda Accord decides to revisit the shop.

Many people have horror stories about experiences at an auto-​body shop, or while dealing with mechanics.
I think its because they have the upper hand. Unless you have a functioning knowledge of the inner workings of your vehicle, you’re at their mercy. If your catalytic converter and pistons are doing something wonky– well how the hell would you know? You just hear that noise when you drive with the window down or when you hit the breaks.
That brings me here. Prela Enterprises.
My first experience here was dropping a friend off to pick up her car. For as long as I remember her family has been bringing their cars here.
When I moved back to the area I was in need of a good mechanic and thought of this place.
Well, I’m glad that I did! Not only is the owner Tony an extremely kind, and welcoming man– he and his staff are honest and fast!
He’s never taken unnecessary liberties and done things and then expect me to just pay for what they claimed needed to be done.
If you need an oil change– go to Prela.
If you need your brakes checked– go to Prela.
If you need to get that noise checked– go to Prela.
If you need your engine replaced with a unicorn or such and such… go elsewhere because that’s silly and this shop is serious.
Seriously AWESOME.
