RIP Taco Palace. I wish I told you much sooner how I loved you. The fastest delivery in Bayside. Cheap and tasty food. What more could I ask for? You will be missed.

Even by fast food standards, this place is disappointing. Their«guacamole» is 50% tomato and their«hot sauce» is basically just water and more tomatoes. But it’s dirt cheap and very filling. They don’t skimp on the meat, rice, and beans in their combination plates, and their housemade tortillas are actually pretty good. But as far as Chinese-owned Tex-Mex takeout joints go, Taco King in Glen Oaks is way better than Taco Palace in Bayside.

Some of the grossest tocos I’ve had. Chicken is burnt and dry. Chili beef is loaded on and mushy with a ton of cheese. The steak was okay but the chucks were big. Didn’t like the salad, just taco toppings thrown together. Def won’t be back.

Fast, cheap, tasty Mexican food. If your hungry for mexican and dont want to drive anywhere, then this is your place! I ordered the chicken quesadilla which was small, but stuffed with chicken and cheese. I also got a hardshell chicken taco which was fresh and stuffed with flavorful goodness. The salsa is a little watery, but stir it a little and you can get the spices mixed in better. I also tried the chicken with mexican rice which was good, reminded me of a meal from an asian restaurant(no surprise though). The only item I am NOT a fan of from here, which I dont know why I thought would be a good idea to order from a Tex-Mex restaurant was the chicken noodle soup. It tasted like water with noodles and chicken in it. No bueno!

I always mentally slap myself in the face whenever I get Taco Palace because when you walk in, you know you’re in for very cheap and not very authentic or great experience. But it’s cheap, and filling. And I always take the food to go. You should too. Bell Boulevard is littered with restaurants, some good, some not. But if you want tex mex, taco palace is your only choice. Handcrafted by authentic tex mex chefs(Asians) and cooked in a restaurant that screams both«there’s a dungeon in the back» and«we don’t really need to keep the whole place lit,» the food is pretty good. You can’t really mess up yellow rice, carne asada and grilled chicken. And it’s not like you can mess up store bought guacamole. They make their own tortillas though. And them tortillas be pretty good yo. I’ll keep coming back Taco Palace.

The food is MSG free and they make their own tortillas. The vegetables taste fresh. You really get your money’s worth when you buy from this place. But try avoid eating in during the summer because there is no AC. I reccomend getting nachos and the lunch combos.

Overpriced and not so appetizing. WARNING: People with weak stomachs need to avoid reading this. This place is pretty gross… they have this fish tank there with goldfishes and some of them were eating at the dead ones… will not return…

Best Tex Mex place in the neighborhood. Ive been eating here since I was kid and it has not changed one bit. No frills and definetely nothing fancy, but cheap and delicious. Everything is 10 minutes.

Great price for the food. It’s run by Chinese people(of course), but I have no problem with that.

Has everything your average Tex-Mex place has. Great taste, good quality, big portions, runny salsa, and of course run by Chinese people. Nothing wrong with that at all. They know how to make good tacos and burritos. They also make their tortillas fresh and in house, which is a nice touch. If you’ve had tex mex before you’ll know what to expect when you come here. If not, try the combo platters… I always get the steak and chicken.

Hey it is what it is… but we still love you Taco Palace. Don’t come in here expecting the best darn taco ever, but if you want something cheap AND fresh, then you will find a place in your heart for this neighborhood joint. Some things taste watered down and may need some help with a few sprinkles of Tabasco but the portions are generous(considering what you are paying) and the burrito is usually so packed that you need to finish it with a fork and knife.

As someone who craves taco’s & burrito’s on a fairly regular basis, yet living in Great Neck, where it’s easier to find a glatt kosher knish delivery place at 2AM, I was absolutely happier than a bureaucrat after another increase of the debt when I discovered that Taco Palace delivered to Great Neck. My buddy and his girlfriend took me to this place a few week prior, and I was really blown away at how well the chicken burrito I picked up tasted, and he told me his steak burrito was just as well prepared. I placed my order on a Sunday afternoon about 4pm, and I had sunk my teeth into my first bite by 4:30, so the delivery time was fairly swift for the size order I placed, and I still have left overs for later in the week. The delivery guy was just amazingly friendly & cooperative to make change for me, and I made sure to provide a generous tip to show my appreciation. Now that I know Taco Palace will deliver to my neighborhood, I’m sure with the winter approaching(conditions permitting) I’ll be putting on a decent amount of winter weight while I indulge my tex-mex foodie cravings from Taco Palace. By the by, I ordered the Guacamole & steak soft taco’s, which were generously stuffed with said ingredients, as well as a Tex-Mex Chili burrito(which, frankly I couldn’t stuff into my pie hole if I were paid two, after ingesting the four taco’s I already dove into. Taco Palace made sure to provide a generous amount of sour cream & taco sauce to compliment my meal, which was icing on the order for me, as I originally forgot to ask for extra sauce, so kudos to them for being on the ball with regards to providing an excellent, on-time, edible ensemble of delectable delights. I definitely will be ordering from Taco Palace on a regular basis, & would recommend anyone who lives in & around the Great Neck Terrace area who craves tex-mex food that will be delivered to your door step to do the same. That’s my review & I’m stickin’ to it!

Cheap, very fast, and tastes good. One of the few places you can order Nachos and still get them fast enough to be crunchy. Not the best taco in town but good enough especially when you’re hungry. Not really a fan of their chicken nuggets though– best stay with the Mexican dishes. Been ordering from here for years.

Are you guys serious? Obviously you all have never tried a good taco. I guess its ok for a quick fix because its close but if you want great tacos go check out«Homemade Taqueria» worth the 20 – 30 minute drive or Roosevelt Ave which is full of taco trucks and restaurants. Your taste buds will thank you.

Good cheap tex-mex food. Super quick delivery(well, I do like like 5 mins away lol) but like 10 mins after i call, they’re at my front door. They’re like ninjas or something. I feel bad cause I accidentally tipped the guy 40 cents LOL… their hard chili tacos are my favorite! their burritos taste really good too, but it wasn’t closed when my bf got it.

I give this place four stars because the prices are incredibly low and the service was fast. The food would most likely be in the three star range. I ordered the steak and guacamole combination platter($ 5.99) which comes with two fresh tortillas, made right in the restaurant, rice, black beans, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato and cucumber, salsa and sour cream, and a soda. There could have been more steak, but it was pretty good. The salsa and sour cream are in a tiny 1 ounce sized little container cup, so I would ask for more. I also ordered tortilla chips($ 1.59) which were very crispy and good amount for the price. I ordered some guacamole as well(8 oz $ 2.69). The guacamole isn’t as Latino as real guacamole. It wasn’t chunky at all, and I don’t think there was ANY cilantro in it, but the people running this place are Asian so how authentic can the guacamole be? It’s cheap, and it resembles guacamole. Worse than the guacamole in my opinion was the side of salsa(8 oz $ 1.59). It was entirely too watery and was very very mild. When I go back, I definitely plan to try the pico de gallo. I ordered two hard tacos($ 2.09 chicken $ 2.39 steak) and they were okay. I ordered a chicken quesadilla($ 3.59) which was probably the best thing overall. It’s made between two of their fresh 6 inch round tortillas with jack cheese. This place definitely has speed and price going for it, with a quality that is comparable to a pretty good Chinese takeout place.

I came here a few times and it’s always empty. The food is pretty good. Typical Tex-Mex dishes. It’s quick and cheap, so I guess I can’t complain.

Some of the best cheap take out I’ve ever had. I wanted to be ambitious and order a bunch of things, but the combo meal just looked too good. Grilled chicken and steak over rice with some beans(wish there were more) with a bit of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. Served with two homemade tortilla(real tasty, but more like small pita breads), with hot(mild) sauce and sour cream. All that food for only $ 5.99. I couldn’t imagine better hangover food and it’s probably enough for almost two meals if you’re not. Otherwise, just stuff your face. While Bayside has some decent places, I would get delivery from here all the time if I lived in the area.
