The new menu for the outside bar is fantastic! I suggest the arugula and prosciutto flat bread. What are the best lunches I’ve had in a long time. Looking forward to this summer. And John, Carl and lanced very good care of us

As a Jersey shore girl, born and raised, I have come to find that LBI is one of the best beaches to go to in South Jersey. We always end up going to Beach Haven and particularly stick close to this beach bar. This bar is located right along the beach, so it is always nice to be able to leave your items at the beach and still be able to go for a quick bite or drink. Great daiquiris to get you through those hot summer days as well as the cocktail drink T-bag. Garlic clams, buffalo wings, and their sirloin sliders are my favorite. Great service for a quick bite to cool off from the beach.

Great place to kick back and have drinks with a tiki vibe but soooooooooo overpriced! Pina coladas come in a laughable small sized plastic cup for $ 8. I had a caesar salad with 4 medium sized shrimp for $ 17. Have beer and chill out in their beach area wth friends… but eat elsewhere.

Was here yesterday for the Labor Day weekend holiday. Overall the crowd and band were ok. However the drinks are BEYOND watered down and expensive. We spent a lot of money and probably had 6 – 8 drinks each and barely had a buzz. They’re definitely watering down their hard alcohol and that is not cool. Bars and restaurants have gotten busted for this type of thing so they should be careful customers don’t contact the ABC and get them in trouble… definitely won’t go again for mixed drinks and waste my money.

I gave this place a 4 of 5 because the drinks are just okay and expensive, since that is one of the main reasons you go it should be great for the price or have better happy hours! I’m a beer girl and selection is slim, so you can’t even get a cold Sculpin — it’s only domestic in a can(nah). The atmosphere rocks! People who live there or are vacationing are super friendly, so you always feel like you are there with a large group. Seriously tho, what can be bad about strolling in off the sand to have a few drinks and listen to music with friends — nothing I can see! Just don’t go back to beach after happy hour, safety first :) The food is standard bar fare, so yummy but totally unhealthy. MexiTots are my fav! Chees with jalapenos on top of crispy tots — mmmm good! I recommend anyone in the area stop in daily!

Had dinner here tonight, the service was awful. The management could care less about any issues we had. Didn’t get our food for an hour and half. The waitress disappeared after each order she brought us. French fries, no ketchup. Two dinners, forgot potatoes on both. The bathroom had no paper towels and all the blowers were broken. Had to use my pants.

Got up and left. Sat in the dining area for 20 minutes and no one waited on us. Very disappointed. Went over to Spray Beach and had a great dinner.

Came in for sushi on a beautiful Friday evening just after Happy Hour and were seated immediately. Soft drinks were served quickly. We ordered 4 special rolls and one ‘ordinary” roll.(10 South, Make it Nice, Rainbow, Bring It, and Eskimo) ALL were large and fantastic! Difficult to even determine which roll was«ordinary«. This was some of the best sushi we have had… Anywhere! We had already enjoyed great sushi at The Engleside and The Gazebo earlier in the week. But our rolls here at The Seashell were absolutely the best we’ve had on the island. This review would receive 5 stars except for one HUGE problem for me personally. Each individual roll came to our table in its own covered disposable plastic dish… Along with over 20 plastic packets of soy sauce and 4 tiny plastic condiment cups. Plastic inside plastic! I was actually horrified!! i understand plastic cups for drinks outdoors by the pool, but plastic throwaway containers for EVERY roll is completely unnecessary and wasteful.(I asked our server if they are re-used or recycled. She told me «no») No reason they can’t use plastic bottles of soy sauce. I will return for the great sushi but next time I will insist my rolls come out on plates.

My husband and I had our date night at the Sea Shell. We decided to start with a spicy yellowtail roll to see how the sushi was and were pleasantly surprised! We ordered 2 special sushi rolls, recommended by our great waitress Melissa, and the Thai Calamari for our dinner. Everything was delicious and came to under $ 100…a great price for a meal on LBI! We would go back again.

Nice covered bar with streaming sports on the tv, beach access, live music and fresh fruit for all your exotic drink needs. All good here. Come on down. The More You Know!™

Terrible experience. We came with a bridal party of 17 and they slowly let us in and after about half of us got in they started charging us cover. So they caused us to not make it in before 9:30 and then charged half of a huge group. It was horrible behavior. Don’t come here.

Live music, decent food and drinks. On Sunday don’t expect a relaxed atmosphere, it’s pretty wild. I had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Sandwich, I only ate the crab cake which was really good. The calamari was good too.

Yesterday on July 4th to celebrate Independence day, we went to LBI, went to the take out shack off the sand which is nice and convenient to order mozz sticks and potato skins –which we ordered on Memorial day, so they told me I don’t think we have potato skins – and I said, well, we got them on Memorial day. So, they looked on the menu, on the screen but, couldn’t find it – so they said, maybe they made it special for you that day. So, I couldn’t order them. bummer… so I just ordered mozz. sticks… then went to the bar and got a fuzzy navel… no garnish, so I asked for a garnish and the bartender was nice enough, he gave me orange and cherry in the drink. No one seemed to be in a good mood really – no red white or blue decorations – just like an ordinary day – they could step it up.

This is a great happy hour bar for anyone from any walk of life. Young-as in toddlers, old-as in wheelchiars, they’re all here and they’re all having a blast on Saturday afternoons. Great music, surprisingly good food, albeit expensive, decent pour on the liquor, friendly service and there’s a built in pool on the beach. This is about as good as it gets in southern LBI on a weekend. While I haven’t dined in the restaurant, the menu looks good, but like most of LBI it’s EXPENSIVE. Bear in mind this review is for happy hour only. Girls in bikinis, live music, and drinks, what could be bad???

Let me start with the one positive, the atmosphere is great. The beach side tiki set up makes you feel like you are not in New Jersey, which is awesome but other than that avoid this place at all costs. To start with, the staff is filled with the most incompetent and rudest people I’ve ever dealt. After waiting an hour to be seated, even though more than half of the tables were open, we had to split our party of eight up because they couldn’t add one more chair to an open table set for seven. Their excuse for this was they«couldn’t move chairs,» even though in was evident that they had done it for previous parties. Yes, I understand that it is a holiday weekend, but for a restaurant that has been around for 10+ years, it should not have mattered. This is all before the food came too, which by the way was overpriced and not good. Bottom line, stick to waiting 30 minutes for a drink at the bar at this place because it’s way less frustrating then having to deal with the restaurant staff.

The food is good but everything is on the pricey side and DONOTORDERDRINKS! They barely use liquor and 15 bucks for a piña colada is ridiculous.

We went here for dinner on a whim and were so glad we did! We sat at the tiki bar while we waited for our table and definitely enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Once seated at our table, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Some reviews on here complained that the food was too pricey but I think I saw something on the menu for every price point. Everyone in our group had nothing but good things to say about what they ordered. I had the flounder and it was outstanding. The portion was very generous and I wish I was able to finish! Give the Sea Shell a try when visiting LBI! It is one of those places that will truly make you feel like you are on vacation!

Right on the beach if you’re looking for some cold drinks on the hot sand. My friends and I all got some frozen drinks. Our favorite was the Pain Killer which is like a Pina Colada with nutmeg. I asked the waitress what kind of alcohol was in it and she said rum, but it didn’t taste OR feel like anything was in there or any of ours. Still good though. She also misquoted some of the prices, but it was only about a dollar or so off and an honest mistake. My friend and I split the Marley Roll and the Make It Happen Roll, as well as the Florida Keys«Samich». It was all delicious and fresh AND you can get any sandwich on a gluten free bun for only $ 1.50 more! They had some live music while we were there which was also pretty cool. It was a Monday afternoon, so I’d expect they have it quite often. Lots of seating to lounge out!

LBI is my family’s go-to destination for day trips to the shore. We always like to close out a day at the beach by packing up our car and grabbing a single cold beer. There aren’t too many beach-side options that we’ve come across, but The Tiki Bar seems to be the best fit so far. The location is perfect — right off the beach with a view of the water. Our group of three was quickly seated on a Sunday afternoon and a waitress took our order — three beers and the chips, salsa and cheese appetizer. It was mere minutes before our snack was dropped off. Immediately, we noticed that there was sour cream drizzled all over. My mom hates sour cream and our server could tell something was wrong right away. So we told her what was up and she said she’d have another order out right away, no problem at all. This was super appreciated. In the meantime, our drinks arrived and the new chips plate was brought soon after. It was a perfect little snack before our ride home from the shore, and we’ll definitely be back next time.
