Drive to Cape May to a B +B, much better value than this place or anything in this town. Granted its a lovely Victorian but it doesnt live up to what a good B+B is supposed to! The price is thru the roof even weekdays and the perks are just not there. The linens on the bed are yellowed from use and dont look clean. Every similar place Ive ever stayed does a buffet breakfast though the inkeepers are wonderful and make a hearty breakfast made to your tastes. There is no «Afternoon Tea» like other establishments and that is usually not to be missed at places like the Queen Victoria in Cape May where an array of fruit and pastries hold you over until dinner. Beach Haven is a sedate mellow place, the usual tourist shops, a few good restaurants but for the trouble its better to head 45 minutes south to Cape May. The Cape has a fascinating architectural past with dozens of restored homes and sights to take in including ghost tours and wildlife santuaries. Its also a short hop to Wildwood where theres an amazing mile long boardwalk. You can get an extra night for the money you would spend here. Its still a steep price for what you get.
