I eat here at least twice a week and suggest it to anyone I know that works or frequents the area. Quick, courteous and the food is great. Prices are great too. I recommend the chicken teriyaki bowl.

Great seafood. Seasoned right. Not bland like some places that try to do Cajun seafood. The crawfish had Cajun spices and garlic flavor. Very friendly staff. Small place but clean inside. Probably better for take out if you have a large group.

Wanting to try some cajun food. So me, my mom and son tried this place. It conveniently tucked near the highway. The restaurant is medium size with enough sitting for about 30+ people. The staff was really friendly and accomdating by explaining the menu and portion sizes. We got the crawfish ettouffee, boudain balls and fried catfish tails. It was really good comfort food. I left so stuffed… lol. overall, nice little find on our travels.

Do not order the gumbo, it is far from being that. It was sad because I really thought this place was gonna be good because some other people put 4 stars and 5 stars but so sad that it wasn’t. We were really looking forward to it. I ordered the shrimp gumbo. There were 6 little bitty shrimps, the kind you find in those dried up bags in Fiesta food store. There was a piece of chicken in there but it tasted like leftover chicken that was out in there. The gumbo part was the worst, it was jelly like substance that looked like it was microwaved. Wow. I also ordered the beef teriyaki. I figured that they would get that right because the owners are, well I better not say cause then I would sound racial. But they should have gotten this right. The rice was dead on and the vegetables were fresh and cooked good. The beef part, well seemed like leftovers again from the day before and microwaved. So so sad. Good luck to their business and hopefully no one gets sick on them. Shoot, I hope I don’t get sick. Don’t say I didn’t warn you out there.

I found this place on a whim using Unilocal!I’m not sure I’d have stopped otherwise. It’s located off the highway in a nondescript location that seems to adjoin some sort of industrial garage. Seafood Cajun Express is not a fancy place by any means. In fact, it is surprising to me that it isn’t only a take-out joint. The ‘dining room’ is non-decorated and not fancy in any way. Surprisingly they have a flat screen TV hanging from the wall. I think it is more to entertain the employees and less to encourage sports fans to come in for the game. I was there to order take-out to take to a lunch business meeting. I wanted something authentic for the region and they filled that order. Gumbo, hush puppies, and many ‘Gulf’ area cuisines on the menu. The food has more personality than the establishment so I’d encourage people to go for take-out and not a dining experience.

My family and I just checked into our hotel, and I wanted a quick cajun meal without going to a more formal restaurant. This place popped up quickly, and we rushed over. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere, and they serve oriental as well as cajun. This interesting mix worked GREAT for my family, as we had more options for my teenage sons. I was very pleased with the meal, and the fried pickles were to die for. This is a small family restaurant that is a hidden gem. If I lived closer, I’d be a regular.
