This restaurant was great! The food was very tasty and the price was reasonable. I especially liked the lobster roll and the aquacate picado. Really, everything was good. We split about six small plates, and we were completely stuffed.

I never write reviews, but had to write this one. My wife and I were on vacation and looking for a good tapas place. We were about 2 hours away from the metropolitan, but were hungry for tapas and this looked like the best option. Normally we would not drive that long to a restaurant, but this was worth the drive! After 2 hours of driving on slick and spooky roads with no reception, we got to this place. The only negative I would say was parking, because the GPS takes you to Hilton hotel and there are no signs for the parking garage and valet at Hilton was $ 60. But once we found parking and actually got to the restaurant, we were greeted and seated right away. It was about 8:45pm on a sat night. The server was great, but the food was amazing! This place is not cheap, but everything we had was delicious. The papas bravas had a sauce on them that was not to our taste, but we had those last and I would still give 5 starts for the food. We had lobster taco, pork taco, Italian wedding soup, Tuna Tartare, and New England Lobster Roll. Everything melts in your mouth, especially the New England Lobster Roll! The atmosphere was relaxed, but classy. I liked the recycled water from the toilet idea. Overall, great tapas place!

Excellent food, poor Management which equates to poor attitude in general, too bad because the place has lots of potential but when the Manager can not smile and greet a guest, why should the employees?

Pork and lobster tacos are awesome! They are a little spendy for how small they are, but they are solid. Also tried the crab & artichoke dip — probably would forgo that. Good service too!

We met 2 other couples here for dinner. We had to sit up at a bar table and although stylish and hip it was a bit uncomfortable. We all shared many things on the menu. We all liked the deviled eggs, the patatas bravas(which was amazing), the lobster taco, crab salad, and the flat bread with figs. We didn’t like the chorizo(hard and tasteless), the lobster roll, or the tuna tartare which was the most uninspired dish of the night with absolutely no flavor. We still had a great time trying the small plates and sharing them. I only wished I had tried the 25 dollar glass of Prisoner Cabernet but since I just bought a whole bottle for the same price at home, I just couldn’t swallow it.

I’d like to address Shawn R’s 2 star review here. First of all, we’re not in Spain, this is Beaver Creek. Not everything has to be Spanish, including the wines! Tapas means small plates, which they have, with other selections. I’ve had many great suggestions from the bartender, sommelier, and chef, who is more than happy to come out and explain his creations, or modify them to your needs. I love the new menu, as do most guests and locals. The new winter-oriented drink menu is terrific, and their happy hour is just what you need after a day on the slopes! The staff is the best in the village, and I often take out of town guests here, because we’re given excellent food with prompt, friendly service, in a fun, hip atmosphere! Especially great for a pre-theatre nosh, before seeing a show at the Vilar Center, just downstairs from the restaurant. Go! Experience the fun!

Metropolitan is a unique spot for a mountain town. Our server, Thayer, was a extremely personable. We enjoyed chatting with her. We ordered four items and they all were delicious!

Food was mediocre, drinks were great. The bartender was awesome! She was super helpful with menu selections and made us feel welcome. Great service all around but the food was not the best. We ordered the stuffed dates, ahi tuna poke, sweet and sour Brussels sprouts, and the lobster roll. The first three were just ok. The lobster roll was awesome! Definitely would recommend that. The Rocky Mountain mule was delicious too! Don’t think the food lived up to the hype of the reviews though.

My date and I dined here on Saturday night and had a great time. We were impressed my the flavors and portions of the small plates we tried. We both agreed the ahi tuna poke was the best we’ve had in a while. Prosciutto and date flat bread, sweet and salty sprouts, and the special local peach bread pudding were our other choices. The staff made excellent menu recommendations as we navigated the wine dispenser! Great atmosphere on a busy evening.

We love tapas and were so happy to find this place in Beaver Creek Village… unfortunately the food was average at best and our group of 7 had the opportunity to try more than a few menu items. The décor would be fine were it not for the cheesy portraits of music legends. Felt like a prototype of a tourist trap. The best part of the experience were the servers who were excellent. I hope they all find jobs at better restaurants!

Hmm mm. Food average to poor. Nice servers. Hideous art on the walls and old farts all over. Seriously messed up toilets/sink combo units… I would pass if I were you. If you go get the arepas or the pork tacos

A great variety of small plates that are very yummy! As a local, this is a great quite place to go to, have a glass of wine, some delicious small plates and wonderful service. The service is always super great(Chad was our server and he was super helpful!). Their breakfast is really wonderful as well. I highly recommend eating here while visiting Avon and Beaver Creek!

Great food, so so atmosphere. On a Thursday in July the place was pretty empty and perhaps for that reason felt more like a cross between a pizza joint and a sports bar. Not the usual atmosphere of a tapas bar. The food, however was delicious. The lobster taco won our vote. The pulled pork arepa, brussel sprouts and caprese salad were also good.

We grabbed dinner at the Met while looking for our wedding venue in Beaver Creek. Holy cow, what a pleasant surprise! The food was absolutely delicious along with awesome drinks(must try the barrel-aged manhattan!). The tacos, tuna sliders, bacon wrapped dates, cake bites — it was all so delicious. Plus the crazy enomatic 16-bottle wine machine they have there, which is not only an awesome conversation piece, but it’s a great way to try a bunch of wines rather than having to get a glass at a time. The food and drinks were so good, we decided to throw a happy hour for our guests the day before the wedding. Again, the food was absolutely delicious. They handled our 50+ guests with ease, the food was just as good at scale, the venue fit our group very well(could have taken even more). Service was excellent — Thair served excellent drinks while Kenny and Rob served and kept an eye on everything throughout the afternoon. Chef Steven was a pleasure to work and chat with. Kenny was a pleasure to work with — he kept on eye on our budget to make sure we had enough food for everyone without going crazy. Overall, this was an amazing venue to eat at either on our own or with a giant group. Prices are very reasonable and the food is unmatched in the village. Thanks so much to these folks!

I dined here during this past ski season at Beaver Creek and was very impressed with the food and ambience. The restaurant was a quick walk down a flight of stairs from our condo in Beaver Creek Village, and it was very lively when I dropped in for a quick bite my first night at the resort. The dining room has a mix of high tables and low ones anchored by a great bar. The wait staff was courteous and helpful; I was grateful they seated me in a warm corner of the restaurant so I could escape the flurries outside. As a Southern Californian, I was unfamiliar with this meteorological phenomenon they call«snow» around these parts, so I immediately ordered the soup du jour which was a warm and hearty chili. It was served with some crusty homemade bread — the best and only kind of bread to eat with chili. Next, I had the potatas bravas. The fingerlings were very well prepared, and the exquisite Manchego cheese complimented the potatoes. Finally, I had the lobster roll which was served with the restaurant’s signature balsamic crisps. These potato chips were top-notch, as they were fried to perfection(crunchy but with a slight bit of chewiness) and flavored with a balsamic reduction — a very elegant take on classic salt-and-vinegar crisps. I was less ebullient about the lobster roll, however. The small quantity of lobster filling was such that most bites were purely the Challah bread roll itself. This sandwich would have been better served with a much thinner style of bread given the paltry amount of lobster. Overall, The Metropolitan is a great restaurant serving excellent South American and Asian tapas, as well as American dishes. By the end of my ski trip, it turned out to be one of best meals I had at Beaver Creek.

Incredible multi cultural fusion tapas restaurant. Everything we had was delicious and we left very full. They also have a solid beer and wine selection.

I am very impressive with this place. The menu is on the exotic side with tapas ranging from Elk Carpaccio to a Rabbit stew or rouge. Tasty tapas good to be shared. We had a great time here tasting a wide range of cousins. They have seasonal menus as well and I happened to have the pleasure to taste the Indian rooted chicken curry soup. Fantastic!

I love a great tapas place. This place had a funky vibe and a cool seating arrangement. We ordered every slider and taco they had, along with gnocchi, deviled eggs and some chips. My favorite item was the freshly made deviled egg with pico. All other items were good but lacked a je né sais quoi. You will enjoy this place for its ambience, wine and cocktails and international menu.
