Server was very friendly. They made sure our drinks were always full. The was was good. I had the chicken chimichanga and my wife had pollo a la crema. I would recommend this place and will be back again.

This is probably the 5th time we have ate dinner here and we have never had a bad experience! Last night, it was pretty busy(Saturday night), but they found us a good seat for our family(2 adults, 1&3 year olds). They were super quick bringing the chips and salsa/bean dip and drinks, which is super helpful when you have very hungry little boys. The food was excellent! Our server was constantly checking in or getting things when we needed it. The check came fast when we were done, so we would could leave before the kids got restless. We’ll be back! Thank you!

Great food!!! Combo plates are perfect. My husband loved the tacos al carbon. They also make homemade tortillas– both corn and flour. I can’t wait to try those next time we go!

With a heavy heart, I must write about dinner tonight. Food was bad. BAD! drinks were ok. Service was Excellent. Because the food was awful and 90% of the experience, We will not be returning. First, the salsa, was terrible, clearly a bad batch, it had no flavor & tasted as if a dish towel was soaked in it. How Bazaar! Now the food, my food was so bland and ZERO flavor! I orders Camerones w/Mushroom. It had 3 mushroom chunks & a ton of onions! I had to put Salt on my food! Unreal. The kids food was decent, but it’s hard to ruin Chips/Cheese & bean/cheese burrito. The store bought tostada’s for cerviches were just bad. The Mexican pizza was just ok, it atleast had some flavor. Now for the drinks. My Mojito was bland flavor wise, like they just mixed in some Mojito flavor & the margarita was weak! So we will not return, Raul’s is a better choice for taste. But I will say this, the service was great! Too bad the food doesn’t match the people who work here. They have a great staff, the restaurant is clean. Inside & out!

Great restaurant for the family. Happened to spot this place and so in for drinks. The complimentary chips and salsa and bean were excellent. Would like the drinks to be a little less filled with ice and more liquor. .kinda cheating on mixing the drinks. Overall good place to go.

This place gets 5 stars based on customer service alone. Always very friendly and fast to bring water, chips, beans and salsa. The food is always hot and tasty. I always order the chicken Mexican pizza. You won’t be disappointed eating here.

I have never had such good service or seen such a happy staff. I frequently eat here for that alone. It’s rare in the food industry. Now the food… it’s great. Absolutely love it. The whole experience of this place is great. Anyone rating it less than a 5 is just a hater for no good reason. Eat here. You won’t regret it.

I felt discouraged after a job interview, and Si Señor was steps away, beckoning me with lunch specials and instant chips and salsa since I was hungry before the 1:00 interview. There was a wide menu selection, and their happy hour menu laughed at me with a $ 4.25 house margarita-mine was $ 9. But delicious, it definitely took the sting off of a bad interview. The Piccadilly beef in my enchilada was very good, a deep slow cooked flavor with nice firm shreds of tender beef, giving you a sense of accomplishment after your fork has to do some work to cut it. The whole pinto beans were very good as well. The service was fantastic, with friendliness from several staff. The waiter was great, I always felt taken care of but not rushed. I wasn’t fond of the chile relleno-like most places they seem to use too much egg in their batter so it’s almost an omelet and it felt very mushy with an odd taste. Also, my chips were a bit stale. Overall, it was a great experience as I rarely done alone-the patio was beautiful with plants, a fountain and a bit of shade. They do a great job of making you forget you’re on a busy street. A great place to sip a yummy margarita, I’d love to return for happy hour.

We were in a hurry as we had a meeting to go to. We told the waiter as we ordered taco salad. The food came fast and it was very good. The waiter was very nice and attentive. We really like this place and the prices are good. The taco salad filled a large plate and was delicious. We will be back and I will recommend this place.

It was fairly noisy, with lots of kids when we got their on sat. afternoon. Got seated promptly and our order was soon taken. Reasonable wait time for our food to be cooked. I had chicken en mole, which I did not care for, I think it was properly prepared, I just did not like it. Water glass was kept filled during the meal, which I really appreciate. The serving of Cole slaw in the meal was very skimpy, perhaps about 2 tablespoons. Is there a cabbage shortage somewhere? I do not think I will be back, just another average restaurant. Good service.

It’s been a long time coming, but I have visited Si Senior a few times. Every time I have gotten an excellent meal with impeccable service. My last visit was with my son, who is Autistic, and had a wonderful time practicing his Spanish with the crew there. Our waiter was on top of everything and of course we all left with doggie bags. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good Mexican food.

For whatever reason we have never been to Si Señor before. We arrived around 1:30ish on a Monday for lunch. It was not very crowded. We received an «ehhh» greeting, not much enthusiasm. The Restaurant is very nicely decorated and very clean. My first pet peeve, the chairs seem very tall and the tables are low, so the table came to about my belly button. As a large breasted woman I have enough trouble not spilling my food all over myself, this does not help the situation and it is uncomfortable to say the least. Hubby wanted Posole and I ordered a Cheese Enchilada and a Chile Relleno. They have a salsa bar with a few items to choose from. I asked for sour cream when I ordered and again when my food was served, it finally arrived about 5 minutes later. One thing I do have to say is our food came out HOT, I mean really hot, which you don’t see that often, Kudos to them for that! Hubby liked his Posole, he still thinks mine is far superior(Thank God). It needs more Hominy and Cabbage in his opinion. They use bone in Pork, we know this because the bones were still in it, so be careful. I am pretty sure they use Annato Paste to get the bright red color, I might do that next time I make it. My Cheese Enchilada and Chile Relleno were tasty, I ate half and have the rest for tomorrow’s lunch. No improvements needed there, both were solid. Pet peeve #2, we sat for a lonnnnnnngggggggg time with our dirty plates after our meal, servers were buzzing around(they had plenty of Servers). We kept trying to catch someone’s eye to get our bill, we were done and ready to go. We finally got he attention of one of them and requested our bill. Someone(not our Server), brought it and took our payment. Finally I had to use the restroom on my way out, the Handicap Stall was the only one available, the toilet was so tall if not for the bars on either side of the toilet I would not have been able to get on the toilet seat, it was so bizarre it was almost funny. I am 5’3 but come on, that is just not normal. I would not be willing to eat here for Dinner, their prices are about 20% above most other Mexican Restaurants I frequent. Their lunch prices are reasonable. When I left one of the Waiters in the lobby was on his cell phone and the Hostess totally ignored me, no goodbye or thanks for coming. Overall I don’t think I will be back, but I wish them luck and continued success, it is just not for me.

My wife got the pollo alla creama and it was so delicious! The staff and food was amazing! We are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

This has been our go-to Mexican restaurant for some time now. Have never had a bad meal and their Cadillac margaritas are excellent and generous! The wait staff is efficient and cheerful and even when the place is busy as it usually is on a Friday night, they are quick to get your order to you. If you are in the area and have a yearning for Mexican food, this is the place!

I’ve been a regular for a couple of years. The food is always great. The Cadillac margaritas are the best. The service is excellent; the staff knows me and brings my margarita and guacamole soon after I’m seated. However, the last time I was there, one of their staff stole my credit card number and used it at an out-of-state retailer. If I do go back, I’ll never use a credit card there again. Food for thought.

This place has seen some impressive changes as of late. New menu, new furniture, friendlier wait staff, and their complimentary chips and salsa also comes with bean dip! The food is what I would say is far above par of other Mexican restaurants in the area. Good prices, generous portions, and they don’t skimp on the alcohol. Even during busy times, the service is very fast and quick to refill drinks and chips. It’s a solid business lunch spot. The food quality is definitely up there as well, a solid 4 out of 5. My personal favorites are the enchiladas or the borrego, a succulent hunk of lamb meat served falling off the bone. Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambiance: 4 Value: 4 Bonus: +1 for consistency in excellence TL;DR: Great Mexican lunch spot

Do you want the friendliest service, best Margaritas(get the perfect!) and DELICIOUS Mexican food? Well, Si Senior on Hall Blvd is by far the best! This is all due to the owner, Lazaro, Janet and his incredible group of employees. My kids always want to sit in Jose’s section because Jose never disappoints with his excellent friendly service — great guy! This is a place that truly cares about their customers and will do anything to make it a great experience. Don’t forget to check out the spicy salsa bar and have a great time. Try the pork carnitas or any one of the fajitas. Thank you Lazaro and team for many years of excellent service and delicious food. See you soon!!!

Not the best, but also not the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I started to have a lot of issues with take-out order accuracy, so I’ve not been going as frequently as I once did because it’s not worth the trip when you have to make two, or sometimes three trips before they get it correct.

Love, Love, Love their Blue Agave Margarita, yummmmy! Been here a few times and that drink is my go to drink, and I’m a pretty picky person. Their chips/salsa/bean dip are pretty good and they usually are pretty quick bringing these out to you. I have ordered the Chicken Chipotle and have always had enough for lunch the next day. The service has always been friendly and helpful. The reason for only a 4 star is because every time that I have gone there the greeters are not exactly the friendliest but at least the waiters make up for them.

Being from Southern CA I have certain standards when it comes to Mexican food and SI Senior consistently hits the spot! This place makes fresh food with good quality ingredients. Each dish we have tried is very good. From basic taco and enchilada dinners to the most excellent Alambre fajita like dish. The rice and beans are both very good too! They have a nice happy hour menu in the afternoon and the 9pm hour that is worth trying especially if you are looking for a couple snacks rather than an entrée. We also appreciate their fresh salsa bar very much. On top of the good food, this place has impressive customer service. The servers are very polite and speedy. They are happy to accommodate special requests or make suggestions. If you are regulars like we are quickly becoming they even remember you. Definitely, a good affordable spot for pretty authentic food.

This was our go to neighbor restaurant. Most of the meals are delicious. The molcajete is wonderful. Some of the dishes are so-so, mostly the shrimp dishes. The staff is friendly and prompt. Their regular and skinny margaritas are delicious and have the right proportion of tequilla.

I am a Mexican food connoisseur of sorts, and I think that this may be my favorite place of all time. The food and service are flawless, and if that wasn’t enough, the salsa bar is icing on the cake.

Some like it hot! They have a small salsa bar(with small plastic cups) you can help yourself to. I’m actually glad the salsa vesicles(cups) were small, as the salsas are hot and I love spicy. Great chips/salsa/bean dip, as everyone noted. Service was friendly and good. They were busy, as it was mariachi night, but we were not ignored what so ever. Food is Amer-Mex, so it is a bit on the heavy side. Sometimes you want comfort food, this is it. They also offer more traditional options if you are looking for something a bit more authentic and they will customize to make your dish lighter(sans beans/rice, sub salad for the anti-carb aliens). This is the burbs and good Mexican is hard to find, but the food was very good(we ordered a large combo with tamale, taco, enchilada and a fajita burrito plate). The combo was huge and provided left over meals for 2 lunches. The burrito was very good, but quite small considering a neighboring customer also had a burrito(carne asada) and his was twice the size. The hubs felt a bit cheated as he wasn’t lucky enough to have left overs. But he cleaned his plate. Everything was fresh and prepared to order. Great Burbs Mexican.

Not Worth the Money Tortilla soup is one of favorites, however I will never order it again at Si Señor. I was dining at 12:15 alone today. When I waited 10+ minutes for it to be served I figured beforehand it wasn’t going to be very good. When it arrived it was easy to see that it had not been made earlier and simmering in a big pot, but assembled per order. Basically it was broiled, sliced chicken breast floating in hot water with no seasonings or flavor, with sliced toasted tortillas in the broth, and chunks of avocado on top. No onions, no salt, no flavor. I had to add some salt and an entire mini bowl of salsa to it to get any flavor out of it. I can make it better at home. It was disappointing.

We sat in the bar area and ordered two cazuelas between the three of us. They bring chips, salsa, and a side of beans. The restaurant was clean and staff was really friendly. I’ll be stopping by the next time I’m around Portland. Check this place out!

New to the area, wanted Mexican, this place had good reviews. Nah. They were nice, the chips and salsa were good. Beyond that it was a very typical Americanized chain restaurant experience. All of the staff had ear pieces in and that seemed to make hearing and paying attention difficult. I specifically asked if the chimichanga was covered in green chili, I was told yes, and yet it was not. The beef chimi was made with bland ground beef and beans. The shrimp cocktail was bland and clear. It was served with a side of ketchup. The margaritas were OK, but nothing special. Nothing was bad, nothing was above par — and the bill was $ 50 for 2. There was a lot of silly Spanish — hola, gracias, amigo — really just for atmosphere, not sincere. Very hokie. I wouldn’t come back, or recommend this restaurant.

This is THE ‘go to’ Mexican restaurant on the west side. Don’t screw around, step up to The Perfect Cadillac margarita, you will not be sorry. Newbies to this drink should clear their calendars for the following day. It only costs a few bucks more, but it’s so worth it. Best secret menu item discovery ever? Enchiladas Montadas with Barbacoa. Guess what? It’s only on the lunch menu, so you have to specifically request it at dinner. Don’t worry, they’ll make it happen for you! Hence the name, Si Señor! We’ve celebrated a lot of family events and good times here, and we’ve never been disappointed. Never a stale chip. Never bad service. Always friendly folks. Lazaro, Janet and Cone are THEBEST hosts you could ask for.

This is a decent Mexican place with huge portions. My wife went here with some friends and one of them had the mole and she said it was like her mom made. So we had to come give it a try. Overall, it was good. Seems like a bit Americanized to me, in some respects, but then Mexico is a big country with many regional differences, so who am I to say if it was authentic or not. Anyway, we did leave satisfied. It’s a bit out of the way and more expensive than the places closer to home, which in my opinion are more«authentic».

Solid place. The enchilada plate I ordered was HUGE. Almost enough for 2 people really. Chicken was nicely seasoned. However, it seemed what I had ordered was just a normal enchilada plate with a crap ton of oregano sprinkled on… like a lot. Like too much. After shoving some off it was all good. Chips, salsa, and beans were so-so. Nothing to gawk at. Plus the staff in the bar was great and gave great recommendations for drinks and are super friendly. Strawberry/Pineapple colada anyone? Prices overall are pretty inexpensive. I would certainly recommend coming here for HH or dinner.

I love it here! It’s my «go to» Mexican place! Sadly I haven’t been here in probably like a year! It’s not on my route! I happened upon it years ago on some random lunch hour. Both locations are killer, but the Hall location is the one I’ve hit up the most! The place is bright and colorful. I mean super colorful. So much fun! The only thing I ever order is the Carnitas Burrito! It is GIANT! I mean super huge! Loaded with slow cooked pork and covered in salsa! I never ever can finish it! If u can than I’m sorry, but you’re a pig! LOL Over the years I’ve mostly got it to go! It transports very well and the presentation is great! Occasionally I sit at the bar and have some chips and a margarita! They serve warm beans and salsa to go with the chips! I LOVE the warm beans for dip! It’s heavenly when you’re super hungry! The margaritas are served in a super huge margarita mug! Happy happy! Service is always great!
