Tuesday Morning

I dig this place a lot, I usually score some good finds on the cheap… one downfall is the staff always seem to be complaining about their personal lives (their significant others specifically) or work… I get it, I bitch about both from time to time but goodness this is the running theme with this crew

First it is smaller than Home Goods however that does not stop me from just popping in every now and then to see what they have. Their stock always changes but you can always find, luggage, dishes, specialty food items, random books, stocking stuffer type stuff, small counter top appliances, workout stuff, closet stuff, home décor… etc… Sometimes I walk out empty handed other times I walk out grateful I have an SUV to haul my finds home. come in check it out and maybe you will walk away with a few items you didnt know you couldnt live without… lol.

There are a handful of decent deals here. Though some of the deals were not much lower than what you can find on sale at the stores where the products originated or can be found. The store was a bit dirty and the shelves were somewhat disorganized but I expect that from a store that runs on such a low budget of hours for its employees.

Tuesday Morning is a mish mash of everything from outdoor decorations to rugs, children’s toys, luggage, sheets, towels, tons of serve-​ware and glasses and some just odd off the wall items, including some dog and cat related toys, etc. They even have a small selection of clothing.
I have purchased some serve-​ware and glasses, they have great deals on photo frames, reading glasses and on occasion kitchen wares. You do have to know your prices as some items are cheaper elsewhere, but there are some killer deals here, you just have to look.
The ladies who run the place are nice, I do understand the possibility of theft, but the thing you have to walk thru on the way in is just retarded, somewhat like a cattle chute but for humans, it creeps me out.

Ok, I don’t know why, I just love this store.
It’s near Peppermill, where we eat breakfast quite a bit, so afterwards it’s easy to duck in and browse.
My husband grouses about it every time but we nearly always buy something. And often it’s his doing, not mine.
Last time we bought a bunco game, a giant teddy bear (don’t ask), and some dish towels… and the time before that I bought a big light up Halloween cat face, a halloween sparkly hairy spider, a scarf (to wear, that’s right, a scarf), and a pair of tongs.
They’re loaded with household goods, bric a brac (ok, how DO you spell that?), toys, and other fascinating miscellany. One of my coworkers buys all his Le Creuset cookware here (or what my husband thinks are counterfeits). He swears by it.
I just think it’s a fun place to look for nifty stuff. They often have scrapbook stuff, and candles, too. see what I mean? there’s no end to the fun!

A friend of mine told me about the store because I was looking for a iPad case and mentioning they cost at minimum $ 40. They said to look at Tuesday Morning because it has great deals on top of the line items. I jokingly asked the store was ran by «Tuesday child» and if «they were full of grace». My friend just stared at me not getting the reference, but still directed me in the right direction regardless of my joke.
A jewel in the ruff is the best way to explain Tuesday Morning store. It has deeply discounted name brand items that if you know what your looking for a great deal can be found. I would say the place is just below Nordstroms Rack and miles above Ross, Target and Walmart in quality of merchandise.
Nice selection of name brand linens and home items are hidden within the isles of this place. The inventory changes weekly so if you didn’t find what you were looking for the first time come back within a week and it might be there. The staff is friendly and helpful. They even told me they get new inventory every Monday so come in on Tuesday or Wednesday to see if anything great came in.
Finding a parking place is easy. Although finding the store itself is a bit of a challenge since it is not facing Farmington Road. It is hidden on the side of the main building that Bales Market Place is on and in front of the Bally Total Fitness. It can actually be seen from SW Kinnaman.
Over all it is okay and if you’re in the area worth stopping in to look around. Maybe even find that special item you were looking for at a good price.
