Update to my previous positive review: This is going to be the very last time that I #1 write a review on JFK(and I will NOT amend my negative review to a positive like I did the first time, and #2, do business with them ever, or refer parents to them for care once I receive my 2015 tax statements. They really do irk my nerves! Honestly. Any parent who places a review here and who says that the administrative side of things at JFK needs an overhaul, or is poor is absolutely correct! All jokes aside, if you are a parent and trying to get a hold of Ms. Nickie personally 9⁄10 she won’t return your phone call/text either EVER or right away. I had been trying to get a hold of Ms. Nickie for the past week in regards to a simple question/concern that I had about 2015 my tax document. I went online and submitted my question through all 3 emails that is on their website over a week ago, and my question still hasn’t been answered! I feel that the staff doesn’t feel obligated to answer my question(s) because my child no longer attends their school, this is the vibe that I am feeling. Please correct me if I am wrong. And I’ll get to the TRUE reason why I had pulled her out of JFK in just a moment. All that I had asked of JFK was, would it be ok if they can maybe mail the 2015 tax document to me since I currently don’t live in the Bedford area anymore. I understand that the tax statements have to be signed, but I was wondering if there was an alternate way! That’s all! SMH! *Note: I was told by Ms. Nickie to amend my previous negative review to a positive one so that I can get a discount on services. I did just that because I was under the impression that she was going to fix everything completely which wasn’t all the way fixed anyway. I had enough, and about maybe 3 weeks after our conversation I had put in a 2 weeks notice. But I got the discount which was very helpful. *****The REAL reasons why I had pulled my child out of JFK.****** 1.) Honestly I felt that they were holding my daughter back due to the fact that she is only about 90% potty trained, and she is 3 years old but in a room with children who were 2 and 3 years old as well who were NOT potty trained. I know that my daughter belongs in a room with her peers 3 years old and up. At her current daycare, she is in a classroom with her peers 3 – 4 years old, and the teachers and I got her to where she is fully potty trained, hence we worked with my baby one on one for this. I know that JFK didn’t work one on one with my child to fully potty train her. Even though they have their reasons why the separate the potty trained from the non potty trained, I wholeheartedly disagree with it because my child did so much better at her current daycare #1 having 1 – 1 potty training sessions, and #2 being in a room with her age group. 2.) I requested that daily reports be written for my daughter on her progress of things, and what she is doing. Those reports went on for about 1 – 2 weeks then stopped. 3.) My daughter’s intelligence wasn’t brought out at JFK, only at her current daycare. 4.) At my daughter’s current daycare she is being taught how to READ, solve simple math problems and she also did a science project for goodness sake! At JFK, all they have the children do is art and have them play around for the most part. I don’t think that JFK has the ability to challenge these children’s minds because it was not shown to me that they do so. This goes out to Ms. Nickie and her admin team… do better!(Maybe y’all can avoid the bad reviews that way). Previous Positive Review on : This is an amend to my previous 3 star review. Ms. Nickie had cleared the air for me and had explained my concerns and frustrations with the admin part of this childcare center. We had a very positive 14 minute conversation. I can tell that she definitely wants me and my child to be happy with the services! I had a bad experience with the owner of one daycare center once before, and was never offered an apology, but Ms. Nickie apologized and said that if I need anything, she’s just a phone call away! I’m a satisfied parent! Thanks y’all! Previous Positive Review on : Great place for children! The staff is awesome! I like their curriculum too! The only thing that irks my nerves about them is that almost every week I have to get a new envelope for payments and receipts because mine always«disappears», and Ms. Nickie has a big issue returning phone calls and text messages in a timely manner. I feel that the staff on the administrative/clerical side has to step their game up all the way with keeping better track of the payment envelopes, and Ms. Nickie has to learn how to return calls and text messages from concerned parents in a timely manner. That’s the only thing that I feel they need to fix at this center to keep parents like myself satisfied instead of frustrated when it comes to the financial side of things. Other than that, no complaint
