Ok so the service was great and that is the only reason why I gave them two stars. The food was horrible! We went here based on reviews and the menu looked really interesting but it was just not worth it. It is WAY overpriced for the quality. The martinis were so watered down, the food was so under-seasoned, the décor didn’t make any sense, and on our way out we thought let’s try a mint to wash out the horrible taste in our mouths and even the mints were bad. I didn’t know it was possible to screw up a mint but they tasted like they were several years old. My husband, who is way less critical than I am about food, thought I was being over dramatic about the mint until her tried it and immediately spit it out and agreed with me, «never again»!! Don’t waste your money on this place. You can drive 15 minutes further to Manchester and get better quality food for the price. This place is trying to be a fancy food place and it’s just not up to par at all.

Absolutely delicious! You can not get more unique meals unless you went to Bobby Flays in Conn. Great atmosphere and if you like oysters on a ½ shell get them here! Amazing! Best I ever had! Will be back as much as I can!

This was a very good place, the drinks were fantastic and the service was top notch. It’s pricey but good for a date night business meeting.

Our visit to Tek Nique was a happy accident. Very happy! Famished, and unable to wait 45 minutes for a table at our first stop, we turned to Unilocal to guide us in the unfamiliar locale of Bedford. Tek Nique was the next closest place with a good rating, and while it didn’t open for another 15 minutes(4:00pm is a rather odd time), that seemed better than 45, and certainly better than the many nearby chain restaurant options. The outside looks classy enough, and the restaurant is listed as having an «Upscale» ambience. We had a few minutes to peruse the menu online while we waited in the parking lot, and were anxious to go in and see if it lived up. Oh my, does it ever! It felt a little weird being the first ones in the door at 4:00, but others began coming in as soon as we were seated in the very classy, dimly lit dining room. We were greeted quickly by a very friendly server, and presented with the Wine & Cocktail menu, and a beer menu — a handful of regional craft brews on tap, several bottled options. The selection was good, but $ 7 a glass for a draft seemed over-the-top. Still, that didn’t stop me from trying an excellent Summer Ale from a nearby NH brewery. My friends all tried specialty martinis, which were met with raves. What really shines here, though, is the menu. They call it American(New), and yes, many offerings at first appeared to be familiar favorites, but every dish featured some interesting, delicious twist, such as the«Free Form» Seafood Lasagna. This decadently delicious concoction of scallops, shrimp, lobster and crab meat intermingled with wide pasta/lasagna noodles, covered in an wonderful rich lobster cream sauce. It was served piping hot, and was absolutely incredible. One of us ordered the Ribeye, which received a glowing endorsement from our server. It was an ample portion, cooked to perfection, served atop a bed of roasted Brussels sprouts and tiny potatoes. Steak frites and«the best fries ever!» were also a hit, while I took a different route and ordered a calamari salad and a grilled pizza. Yeah, a pizza, but it was no ordinary pie. This one was a rectangle divided up into smaller rectangular«slices.» The thin crust was excellent, and it was topped with perfect amount of blended cheese, blackened chicken, basil and creamed spinach; a Florentine pizza, large enough for two(or more), and just exquisite! My calamari salad featured just the right portion of crispy rings and a few peppers amid a mixture of baby greens with a light, lemony dressing, and dabs of chili sauce positioned around the plate. This would have made a great light meal all by itself. As mentioned above, the atmosphere is indeed upscale. This is a very nice restaurant, with elegant yet simple décor, and a second dining room which can be closed off for large parties, or on our visit, where a couple was seated who brought a very young child in with them. The ample glass-enclosed wine room is a centerpiece in the dining room, while a small bar with high-tops sits opposite. The only glitch, was was handled perfectly, was a $ 34 charge for a bottle of wine which appeared on our tab. Oops… it was for the table next to us, and was promptly corrected. The server even graciously divided up the tab among the four of according our individual orders, eliminating any guesswork about the check. We had plenty of leftovers, which was welcome considering that the place isn’t exactly cheap. But it’s not too expensive, either. In fact, quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of our entrees. My only regret is that we didn’t leave room for dessert, as the offerings on that menu looked as tempting as the dinner menu. I wish we lived closer… but we’ll definitely make it a point to come back next time we’re visiting the area.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for years, and I was finally able to enjoy a excellent brunch with my family today. My smoked salmon Benedict was fantastic, and the potatoes a real hit. Christina was a great waitress, the ambiance very relaxing. I can’t wait to go back.

Ate here last night. Over cooked rib eye(ordered mid-rare, came out well), slow service and average starters add up to 2 stars. There are better options at this price point in Bedford/Manchester. When I mentioned the over cooked meat they took it off the bill. The good news is they are trying. The bad news is they fall short of the mark.

My fiancé and I had an excellent first experience at Tek Nique. Our waiter, Josh, was perfect, attentive, funny and knowledgeable. He kept the pace of the meal perfect that we did not fell rushed nor like we were waiting around. We started with the tuna poke, an amazing balance of flavors. My only critique would be the orange peel could have been chopped slightly smaller. The bread course was lavash with an interesting herby parmesean foam. Really unique! I got the salmon with lobster succotash and my fiancé had the braised rabbit pasta. I was surprised that the salmon was cooked through and I wasn’t asked how I liked it. I would have preferred it cooked a touch less, but it was still moist and tasty. My fiancé really enjoyed the rabbit. We split the maple cheesecake for dessert, the perfect end to the meal.

I’ve been to Tek Nique many times, most recently for their New Year’s Eve dinner pre fixe. As usual, it was a wonderful experience was delicious food! The pre fixe menu was quite impressive. Our service, as usual, was delightful. Tek Nique is a wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more upscale dining option.

Wow, this place blew me away. The food is very well presented and brought to life with creativity. The sesame crisp with parmesan foam to start was a very nice touch. The flatbreads, especially the chorizo were excellent. The short rib and chicken & waffle were both awesome. Their wine list of concise but full of good bottles — some even for a marginal markup. If I had to recommend anything to improve on, it might be the service. Just needed a warmer touch. But overall, I will absolutely be back and ready to explore more of the menu.

Friends brought us here for a Christmas gift and it was wonderful! Our waiter was very pleasant, knew when to be there and when not and had a great attitude. The beer selection wasn’t huge, but what they had was good. Our waiter brought a crispy type of flat bread to the table(presentation here was awesome!) with a bowl of warm Parmesan foam. I’ve never had anything like this before(felt very«Top Chef» to me) and I adored it! I would have eaten it with a spoon if I could have! Our friends got the calamari salad as a starter and shared a taste or two with us and it was probably the best calamari I’ve ever had! Melted in my mouth.(kinda wish I had ordered it!) I had the pecan crusted short ribs, my husband had the free formed seafood lasagna. The short ribs were amazing. simply amazing. The gravy was spot on and the roasted carrot was to die for. The seafood lasagna was very good too and my husband’s only comment was he would have loved a piece or two of crusty bread to soak up the lobster cream sauce! We shared the chocolate and butterscotch crème brûlée and was pleasantly surprised to see it was two separate dishes(easier to share!). They were delicious. All in all it was a lovely night with friends with delicious food!

The Angelotti pasta was cooked perfectly al dente… firm, as they would be in Italy… and I didn’t even have to ask. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their menu. Their cocktails were simply exceptional. Perfectly prepared with nice cold square ice cubes.

This was an interesting dinner experience in the Manchester area. Was looking for a new spot to take my step dad for his birthday and we had heard great things about Tek Nique. Unfortunately, my step dad didn’t love it. But there was mixed review across the board(nothing horrible). The menu is different and interesting, with some exceptional quality and local ingredients. I had the duck and LOVED it. My brother had the shortribs and LOVED it. Some other good, but not mind-blowing dishes were the tuna poke, the rabbit, and I think it was the white fish. Desserts were pretty incredible though. Every dish had perfect presentations. The tuna poke was beautiful. Oh, and I enjoyed my wine and the recommendations I received. Our server was very well versed. He was passionate and knew everything about the menu, and was able to speak intelligently about everything. It was great to have someone serving you who clearly loved his job. It was a bit over the top, he had so much to share — I liked it and appreciated it, but my step dad is very opinionated about what an ideal restaurant experience should be like, and he thought it was too much. The music was elevator music and it was distracting — we even commented on it to the server because it was almost laughable. It’s dim lit and nothing too crazy in terms of atmosphere — so semi-boring, but still nice. I think that the prices were very affordable given the quality and portions.

My two daughters surprised me and took me to Tek Nique for a birthday brunch. It was a lovely surprise. The interior of the restaurant was relaxed-nothing too fancy but definitely not a chain restaurant feeling. There was great jazz music playing softly to give the atmosphere a chic vibe. Although it would have been a little nicer if restaurant’s interior décor was amped up a bit. It reminded me a little bit of a Marriott’s Hotel restaurant where I have had brunch before. Tek Nique should definitely have it’s own distinctive style and look that makes the dining experience real memorable. Our waiter was knowledgeable and witty-which is always a nice touch for any restaurant. Thankfully our food surpassed the waiter and the ambiance. We ordered the Caramelized Apple French toast, an incredible BBQ Tomato and Pork belly Omelet, Cinnamon bun Pancakes, and Corn Beef hash, eggs and potatoes. I wanted to eat everything! I had the French toast and tasted everyone’s dish. Everything was so good, I have to go back until I’ve had ordered everything. The price was appropriate for the quality of the food. Four stars because of ambiance.

Decent upscale restaurant located conveniently in central Bedford. Prompt service, good selection of entrees and appetizers. I was particularly impressed by the presentation. Tranquil, low-lit, comfortable ambiance. Would definitely take visiting relatives or employers here.
