This store is oblivious to the competitive retail customer service environment. Just across the street, I walked into an electronics store concerned that I had overpaid for an item now marked down. Without a receipt, they looked up my account by phone number, noted the difference and handed me cash. Nice! Flash forward to Dillards. My wife tells me that the boots I bought her for Xmas a week ago are now marked down. I saved the receipt in my truck. I will just go over and show them, right? Think again smart shopper! After waiting 20 minutes for a manager the rules are explained: I must bring the boots back and return them. They can not have been worn. I cannot buy the same boots back for 24 hours. If they have another pair of the boots in the same size, I can buy those without the 24 hour waiting period. No one with me can buy the boots.(I guess I need to set up a «straw buyer» which… unlike real estate, is perfectly legal in retail) As I was leaving, the poor woman behind me is getting interrogated as to whether she actually, at some point, put the shoes she was returning on either or both feet. I wished her luck.

I love going to this Dillard’s because apparently no one really shops here! I get great items on clearance!

Manager called me with no real excuse but apologized I think Needless to say I got the impression that he doesn’t really care This is an overpriced store with s staff of inconsiderate employees the doesn’t deserve my business Advertised item but when rang up by rude clerk higher price with No excuse This used to be a good store but now with Kohls and a dozen other department stores they have lost ground and kinda suck

I love this store. Bernice in the men’s area is always great to work with. It is not as big as the Barton Creek store, but still has a good selection of men’s clothes. I wish the management would increase the amount of men’s clothes.

I love this small Dillard’s. It definitely doesn’t have the selection of say, the Domain Dillard’s, but it’s easily accessible and is rarely crowded. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a big selection, go into town. If you don’t mind a bit of a smaller one, come here. I was a little disappointed that the linen department was lacking in duvet covers, but in a store this size, they can’t have it all I guess. Based on location and helpful staff, my favorite Dillard’s.

I try going to other department stores, but Dillard’s always has what I want to wear and a pretty good deal. The Hill Country Galleria Dillard’s is more poorly stocked than most locations, and that’s what I find frustrating. I don’t want to go to Barton Creek Mall, but sometimes if you really need a new shirt or pants, you may not find exactly what you want here.

Thanks to this Dillards and its staff, secret Anniversary Project«tango» went off without any casualties. Here is the Unilocal approved debriefing: 10:00AM — Little Rooster and Daddy leave the safe house 10:30AM — Arrived at the Dillards in Bee Cave 10:32AM — Looked for clothes for Daddy 10:40AM — Arrived in housewares department. Spoke with Agent 10:50AM — Secured 7 — 5 piece place setting of Fiesta dinnerware 11:00AM — Secured Rooster in car seat 11:05AM — Arrived at loading dock. Secured top secret purchase. 11:10AM — Got the new Toffee Crunch frappachino to celebrate sweet success! Everyone at Dillards went out of their way to help with my purchase. The best part was I paid $ 24 for each place setting instead of the $ 48 regular price. The men’s department had some nice apparel on sale so I’ll be back in a couple of paychecks. My one complaint would be some place to sit(shopping cart) Rooster down while I shop. He weighs just under 30lbs; but that seems to rise with every minute I’m holding him. 5 minutes = 70lb and so on. So, 4 stars for the sale on the dinnerware and the staff. Maybe I should just bring my own shopping cart
