Overpriced food. Ordered a side of white rice. Chef prepared it in one container and the woman behind the counter asked her to give me less, so the rice was dumped out and the container was switched to a size I would have paid no more than $ 1.50 for. However I was charged $ 3. Will not go back.

The owner«Flor» is completely unprofessional and a straight up liar! We rented 2 rooms next door at Kidz@Play which is theirs and she charged us $ 143 for 2 trays of fried food, which she had casually forgotten to list/mention when we made the contract. All that was there was chicken wings, mozzarella sticks and onion rings. She also over-booked and had a party(which she later claimed wasn’t an actual party– the pizza, sodas, cake and goodie bags fooled me!) in the common area where the parents of kids at my son’s birthday were standing to be able to watch their kids, that common area is about a 10 foot area between a few arcade games and the jungle gym, so my party had to pass another party just to get from one to the other. Then kids from the other party were taking drinks and snacks from mine and going into my private room to sit. Over all it was an absolute mess and I’m sure a safety & fire hazard. The owner was just completely rude when I confronted her about it and at the end came out with a ridiculous bill which was nothing like we had agreed to. She wouldn’t even give me a copy of the contract she had(which was different from mine) or any sort of itemized receipt.

Had dinner here last night… I’m a huge fan of peruvuian food and their hot sauce. I had the roasted chicken with french fries. THEBEST!!! I loved it and I totally recommend it. Great service and very clean restaurant.

I’ve only been here once and don’t plan on returning. For a place that claims to be a bakery, they have very limited baked goods and clearly do not bake on the premises. I had their empanadas and was looking for some Peruvian cake or cookies and it was no where to be found. It seems like they are trying to be more of a deli, so they should really knock that«bakery» part off of their business name. I was particularly disappointed because I normally go all the way to Passaic for my Peruvian baked goods and was really excited when this place opened up, to merely be let down.

I think after 2 years of being open, they put together much more experience into their goal, place is neat n very nice service you should try to stop by again, you should ask for their rosquitas they are so fresh n so tastefull, very friendly service and best of all it is attended by the owner, Mrs Flor. By the way Peru is well know all over the world by their 2,000 plus, different kind of potatoes

This place has the worst service, the food is ok, but the people are so rude I can’t believe they are running a business, We came in and had to wait for about 10 minutes with people giving us blank stars instead of taking our order. I think they were to busy kissing ass to this other lady and I guess my sis and I were invinsible, not to mention they were treating me like I don’t know any spanish when I was speaking to them in spanish. I hate this place and will never go there again, they have a lot to learn on customer service, uhh so rude.

My Wife and I have been passing this place for months, literally, curious to see when it would open. The rough economic climate, the fact that strip mall storefronts are tough places to make a living, all contributed to a general feeling that they may have run out money just buying the sign. Well, this Sunday after church we saw the«Open» sign for the first time fully lit, and after a side trip to KMart for a shoe return, we took a shot. From the outside, it didn’t look like much. Inside, it was warm, which is odd for a Peruvian place since what I recall quite clearly is that I was *rarely* warm in Peru. It was also warm, a warm a feeling of a family-owned establishment, friendly and clearly eager to see some success. We ordered sopa de gallino(large chicken soup), Papa Huancaino, Jamon de Pais con ceballo, a couple of empanadas, chicken fingers with fries for the boy child, and Pan Carioca for the girl child; the little princess has moved into her full-fledged pain-in-the-ass-not-eating-what-you-order-me phase. Wow. When the Wife ordered a large chicken soup, she got a bowl the size of the coffee Charlie MacKenzie ordered in «So I Married An Axe Murderer». Real chicken, not Chunky Soup bits, and soft, falling off the bone. In other words, a real damn chicken soup. The empanadas might have been store-bought, but they were okay. Tasty buy unremarkable. My Jamon de Pais(ham sandwich) was friggin’ awesome. Is that a culinary term? Friggin’? It rocked. The kitchen actually mentioned to me that the way I ordered it is the right way to eat it, onions and mustard. The Papa Huancaina worked perfectly with it: think of a spicy Hollandaise sauce on sliced boiled potatoes. So much better than french fries or garlic mashed potatoes. Too. Good. Great bread, which makes sense since this is a bakery. Can’t say the chicken fingers were special, but they know how to make french fries. Then again, Peruanos have something like 40 different kinds of potato and corn so if anyone can make something good out of a potato, it’s my Peruvian friends. The Pan Carioca is basically a roll dipped in egg, and per usual, was very good. This is a legitimate bakery. In all, a rare find in a strip mall, and I’m rooting for them. I privately calculated buying lunch here every day for work, and I’d probably end up spending the same as in my subsidized cafeteria at work, only enjoying it more. I mean, where else can you get Chicha Morada soda? Inca Kola, sure, but purple corn soda? C’mon. If the extent of your Peruvian experience is with ceviche, you should swing by and just go for it. We have a new favorite spot… –C
