If the sandwiches were a little less then I’d give Homegrown five stars. But eating here can be spendy, especially since the main food here are sandwiches. But they are really good. My favorite sandwich is the Chicken Pesto on whole wheat bread, as they toast every sandwich, so the garlic aioli and pesto sauce gets really creamy/yummy. The cubed chicken breast is a good portion, too. I usually get a whole sandwich, which costs almost 12 bucks; but unless I am really hungry I can only eat half. You can also add a combo for a few bucks more such as adding a salad, soup or potato chips and a cookie. They do serve beer and wine here, too, and most of the products are local. There is a small seating area specifically for Homegrown in the Galleria area outside and at the small bar area. This is my favorite place in the area for sandwiches.

Wow, the other reviewers have been brutal to this place. I don’t think it deserves the hate. As for the pricing… have these people been eating anywhere else in Bellevue? I mean really, it’s pricey everywhere these days. That being said, I like their sandwiches a lot. Beside the organically grown and locally sourced stuff… the sandwiches taste great. In particular, I love their breakfast sandwiches. I don’t make it a habit because I’m trying to keep to my diet. But every other week I’ll get one for breakfast and it does satisfy a great deal. It’s addicting. I haven’t had their coffee yet because I don’t drink much coffee. The people who work there have always been friendly and I felt like they were grateful for having costumers. If you love a great breakfast sandwich, there is no better one in downtown Bellevue than the ones at Homegrown. Most of the people in my office go there whenever they can because the food is really good and many of them lover their coffee as well. Now these people are all designers with very discerning tastes. So take that for what it is. The only thing I would suggest to Homegrown is to try and make the Gluten free bun sturdier, because it falls apart through the course of eating the sandwich.(Don’t give me grief about the gluten thing… I have big problems with wheat as a whole but having something be gluten free is a start.) Keep up the great work Homegrown!

We were looking for a good breakfast and stumbled on Homegrown. We were very impressed but still a little hungry so we asked the staff for something a little different. The made us an amazing PB&J with Theo’s Chocolate and bacon on toasted French bread. It blew our minds. We cannot recommend the staff any more. Ask them for their recommendations!

Had a beet with Feta salad to go. I thought the brown paper bag they put it in seemed a tad light. I’m guessing because of the lack of Feta and minimal beetroot. It was mainly spinach leaves. Incredibly over priced.

Delicious. So so good. Over priced but that’s typical for good homegrown food! Would have given 5 stars but price is my only deterrent.

Love this place! The hummus veggie sandwich is so good on gluten free bread. Only downside is that the line can get long so if you’re short on time order it in and pay for it online.

I came here for lunch earlier this week with a couple of friends. The first thing I noticed was the very limited indoor seating. They have a small area in the back where there are some stools set up bar style, not the most convenient when you come with friends but it was okay. They have lots of tables in front outside of the restaurant which might be an issue once it starts raining more consistently. I was hoping to get a salad when I arrived but none of the three options seemed very enticing so I went with half of the turkey, avocado and bacon sandwich with a cup of the tomato bisque. The sandwich was toasted and warm and pretty good. The tomato bisque was also good but a little on the heavy side. Even though I just got a cup I couldn’t finish it after my sandwich. Even though this store is technically part of the Galleria, my friend asked and they don’t validate parking yet. «Still working on it» apparently. Hopefully they get that up and running soon. Overall the sandwiches are pretty good, I wish they had more salad options and also more indoor seating would be nice at this location when it starts getting too cold to sit outside.

The food and the coffee is really good, but it’s way overpriced. However, the main issue is that they need to train their people better! I work nearby so I’ve gone a couple times out of convenience, and they have gotten my order wrong EVERYSINGLETIME. I ask for a 12 oz drink and I get a 16 oz(and charged for it too). I ask for room in my coffee and it’s filled to the very top and spills when I take off the lid. I ask for and get charged for an extra egg and they forget it. On top of that, even when they have more workers than customers, your order will take forever(over 10 minutes for just an Americano despite there being only one person in line ahead of me). The slow and incorrect service and the prices outweigh the food quality – I won’t be going back unless I hear improved reviews or I’m really desperate.

I went today at noon with co-workers. There was a line, but we were impressed with quickness. I got the combo with Tomato Bisque Soup and half Mt. Townsend Grilled Cheese w/ham added. The mustard was over powering on some parts of the sandwich but overall it was fresh and tasty. I love how the location opens up and you can sit outside. Fun atmosphere and all staff were friendly with smiles. I am excited to return and try more of the menu out.

Was there visiting a few days ago and thought this placed look like it was worth checking out. All I can say is wow, the prices were a bit out of line, even for somebody that was visiting from Silicon Valley. Sandwich and everything tasted ok, but there was zero value, and judging by some of the other reviews it seems I’m not the only one who felt this way. They call themselves a sustainable sandwich shop. With these prices, I can see why.

Good food, but the pricing is absurd for what you are getting. $ 12 for an ~7 inch sandwich, not including tax or tip, is crazy. I wound up getting the turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich and a side of chili. Sandwich was great, chili was just ok. Also, I would like to see something on the menu that isn’t covered in mayo! The food is good enough to come back but only if the prices are reduced. For 12+ dollars I expect a least a side and/or a drink.

Things I liked. Things I didn’t like. I like that they use food that is organically grown and locally sourced. However, it is very expensive. I think my $ 16 small salad was a bit much. And, when I say«a bit,» I mean a lot. Also, when I ordered, the person at the register didn’t seem to know what I was asking for, even though it was on their menu. Something else I liked. It was delicious. If you don’t mind a healthy, yet highly expensive salad, then this is the place to go! YUM!

I’ve been for breakfast only. The breakfast sandwiches are good(I’ve had both the vegetarian and bacon ones) and I love their coffee. When I’ve gone there hasn’t been much of a line but still takes awhile for my food and drinks to be ready, ~10 minutes for the sandwich and ~5 minutes for a drip coffee with steamed milk. Also I think the prices are ~20% higher than what I would expect to pay elsewhere. Service is friendly and it’s a very convenient location. I like that they serve wine and beer, and I look forward to returning for one of their lunch sandwiches soon.

It’s evident that this team is just starting up. All of them are young and wiling to help, but oh man they’ve so much to learn and practice. I was here Sunday morning(not too crowded) and they mixed up orders, served them very slow, our drinks never came until we asked for them. Food is great, all the ingredients are fresh and organic. I mean, don’t get me wrong the whole concept of organic food is great but(at least at this location) they have a lot of areas to improve.

Was excited to try this place when I found out they opened a location here. Just tried their vegan hummus sandwich(almost $ 11 total with gluten-free bread) and I barely feel full at all and I’m a tiny Asian girl. The sandwich was mostly bread, not much filling. The girl that made my sandwich also dropped like half of the cucumbers and most of the kale as she was putting it all together(she didn’t really put much kale on to start with either). Super disappointed especially seeing the girl beside her make a chicken sandwich literally more than twice the size with a generous pile of vegetables. Judging from the lack of proportion control, I don’t think I will come back to this place anytime soon which is a shame since I live super close by.

Tried them for the first time opening week and went with a half of an avocado egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with hot sauce. Time to wait for my sandwich was about 15 minutes with only one person in front of me. The bread is pretty tasty, but they put 3 very-thinly sliced pieces of avocado on it, making it difficult to even taste it at all, and barely any hot sauce(I actually forgot it was supposed to come with it until my last bite I could actually taste it). I probably wouldn’t order it again, especially since prices are pretty steep for what you get. Went back again last week and tried the same thing. The service was much quicker and the food improved a bit, but the prices are so high for the portions that you get that I likely won’t be heading back there anytime soon unfortunately.

$ 10 out the door for a breakfast sandwich with one measly slice of ham and an egg. It all tasted pretty good, but for $ 10 I expected much, much more. I wont be going back, at least for breakfast.

I’ve been waiting for this place to open! And it finally is! I’ve been to the Homegrown in Fremont, and this place is just as good! I got the turkey bacon and avocado half sandwich with a cup of vegetarian chili. I love that they give you the option to get half of a sandwich, because their sandwiches are pretty big(at least for me). The sandwich was delicious. Avocado tastes good on everything! I love that this place is just a block away from my office. There are other decent sandwich shops nearby, but this one is definitely my favorite!
