Closed, not surprised! For as good as the Seattle RB is, this one was bad!

One star. Our waitress was honest about gluten-free and what it meant, which saved us from being sick for the rest of the night. Cross-contamination is apparently a major issue at this place. Not wanting to be sick for the rest of our weekend, we asked the waitress exactly what gluten-free meant. She was honest and we appreciated it. If you have celiac’s, you need this information right off the bat. Everything was ok till around last call, when a large group of belligerent middle-aged guys from the South began harassing us. It started with guy 1, ~50 year old coming to our table saying, «you need more penis at your booth». This was followed by not 1 more; not 2 more; but 4 more progressively ruder individuals coming up to fake apologies for their«friend». Each and every one of them was actually worse. We were scrambling to pay and leave. Guy 1 left, flipping us off, calling us bitches, saying«you could have had that paid for». Not our culture. The 4th guy gestured to pour his drink on us. The waitress was witnessing the whole debacle and even told us to wait inside as we tried to get a cab to safely vacate. Her manager, however, was all-smiles, jovial, and dismissing the whole situation while half-heartedly apologizing to us and placating them. We asked him to make the harassers leave, and he did not. We asked him to at least call us a cab, and it did not fetch us. We ubered home, unimpressed, creeped out, and done forever with this place. Hope this explains it. Bellevue, when it is ghetto, it is sinister and sneaky. Main issues: the manager did not throw the harassers out even though the situation was obviously threatening and we obviously needed these guys out, and we clearly requested it. There was little business here. Times may be tough but shitty customer service is the reason for it. We ended up tipping the waitress more than what we actually incurred. She was the only decent thing about this situation. Everything about tonight was chump-change-level business, and the manager valued his creepy gaggle of guys more than he did the reputation of this establishment. He made maybe $ 150 off those guys and lost our patronage forever.

There are plenty of Happy Hour options in downtown Bellevue. Rock Bottom doesn’t win for most stylish, or best crowd, or most innovative menu — it’s none of those things. It’s a basic, but solid choice in a sea of choices. A good place to meet an old friend. The environment is pretty generic brewpub — lots of tables in the bar area. There’s a decent selection on tap, and the HH menu has an okay array of the usual offerings — pizza, nachos, etc. We ordered a couple of pizzas and some nachos, all of which were huge portions for the money, but nothing special. That said, the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes — we ended up with way too much food for not much money. The service was good too — our server was nice enough to bring samples of several beers when my friend could not decide, and was attentive about refilling drinks and lowering the shade when the sun was a bit too strong in our eyes. If you just want to relax with some unfussy friends, it’s a good choice.

First time here. Ordered the Cajun pasta. It didn’t taste cajun. It tasted like a jambalaya without the rich robust flavors of a legit jambalaya. It was bland. Needed salt. The whole dish tasted fake. I don’t think the chefs know what cajun is. Also the menu said cajun cream sauce. There’s no cream in the sauce. Just alot of grease from the sausages.

I visited Rock Bottom with my mother who is in town visiting. We came on a weekday afternoon that was clearly NOT busy at all. We sat at our booth for about 7 – 10 minutes before our waitress came by with waters and no apology for the wait. Maybe I’m being too harsh, but I also work in the industry and I personally try to avoid making tables wait for more than 1 minute without at least being acknowledged and not without an apology and explanation. Maybe I’m asking too much… Anyways… We were ready to put in our orders so my mom got some kind of tacos and I ordered a chicken sandwich with avocado on it(can’t remember what it’s called) with a side salad as well as the sangria. After another wait, my sangria finally came out which I didn’t like at all. While it sat full in front of me when our waitress brought our food(and walked by us multiple times) I finally had to let her know that I didn’t like the drink and asked if I could just get a mojito instead. The mojito was much better and my mom ended up drinking the worstsangriaintheworld. Food comes out, my mom liked her tacos okay and I choked down the driest chicken sandwich with no flavor whatsoever. Food was terrible. The honey mustard on my salad was salty too which I though was really strange. Service was nothing to remember, food was terrible, definitely won’t be back.

We have been to Rock Bottom on several previous occasions, and on those occasions we had a great experience. Tonight’s experience was not up to our normal expectations. Let me say that this was one of my family’s favorite places to go for birthday dinners, but after tonight, Rock Bottom took a moderate slide from the top. We ordered the chips and guac which was tasty, but the portion was very small and the 5 of us polished it off quickly. It was now time to order our meal. My oldest son ordered the BBQ burger with onion rings, and my wife and other son ordered the Cuban Cristo sandwiches. I had the standard Classic burger, and my daughter ordered Fish and Chips. After about 10 minutes after the waitress took our order, she came back and told us that the Cuban Cristo sandwiches were no longer on the menu, and asked what other dish we would like. This was a big disappointment for my wife, but she ordered the Fish and Chips, and my son ordered the Maker’s Mark burger. The waitress left, and a few minutes later, came back and told my other son that they were out of the BBQ burgers, and asked what other meal he wanted. This burger is my son’s favorite burger, and he was disappointed, so he ordered the classic burger, and asked the waitress to put some crispy onion sticks on it. After a few minutes, she came back and told my son that they were out of onion rings, so my son ordered fries instead. The food finally came, and the onion sticks were not on my son’s burger, and the fish and chips was nothing special. My burger was your standard tasteless burger, not up to the burgers I have had there in the past. My son’s burger was tasteless, and he had to put tarter sauce on it to make it edible. He wanted BBQ sauce but the waitress didn’t return until he ate most of the burger. The waitress was apologetic and provided us with a nice complimentary dessert which we didn’t really need, but we ate it anyway. She then gave us the bill which included the $ 1 surcharge for the onion rings that we didn’t get. The beer was OK and only $ 6. So, I am giving them a standard 3 star review, for a less than spectacular $ 100 dinner for 5. I would give them 2 stars, but we had better visits in the past. We will probably go back to California Pizza Kitchens across the street the next time we are in town for a birthday dinner.

Absolutely horrible service. Great food but horrible service. I saw my server when I ordered my food and when I was done eating. Someone else dropped off my food and nobody ever came by to make sure it was ok. Which it was not since I wanted to order something to go and didn’t get to till my dinner was done which meant I now had to wait longer for that to be done. They were out of the first two beers I asked for. the to go I asked for my server said he thought they were out of but would check. I gave him a second choice as a backup and he never did bother to tell me what I was getting Surprise I guess!!! Horrible service all around My food was great though!!! I will not be visiting this location again :(

I have been to some Rock Bottom restaurants in a couple of states and the food and beer has always met expectation of being quick, flavorful, reasonably fresh, & affordable. However, at this particular restaurant the food was sub-standard. First of all, they have beers of the day which are limited. Started with the guacamole that was under-seasoned, and the chips tasted like they were not made in-house or were stale. The fish tacos were just confusing– with two layers of tortilla — crispy blue corn & supposedly a soft taco layer– which was then grilled and made crispy. What is the point of having two crispy shells when it’s NOT supposed to be crispy tacos. Then there was a layer of cheese to make the two layers of taco shells stick to each other, c’mon that was just gross! The fish in the taco was almost minced and didn’t taste fresh at all. The spanish rice that was served had some bunches of tiny rice grains and was plain unappetizing. Overall the food at this place does not live up to the current Seattle food scene. Two stars for the decent service and because I could sit there and watch the NBA finals. Go DUBS!

The food is nothing special — standard pub food. I usually am here for beers, but wish they’d have more IPAs on tap other than their standard one. It’s still a fun place, to meet a friend or two at. But in my most recent visit hence the four stars, Rock Bottom publicized that they were hosting a yappy hour on the patio, which I just had to take my dog to. We got all our dog friends from the Bellevue Downtown Park together for yappy hour and it was sooo fun. The manager came out, to introduce himself and had a plate of housemade dog treats that were grain-free! They even had complimentary appetizers that they gave out for us humans! It was so awesome. Our group kept getting bigger, but the waiters and waitresses didn’t seem at all annoyed or tired. They were even asking to pet our dogs and would take pictures. I really hope RB keeps hosting these yappy hours — had so much fun!

I got a sampler of beers when I went today. Of them two were really good, two were good, and two just weren’t my pint of beer. It was a good selection though and a very reasonable price. This also makes it easy to know which beer to get a full glass of. I liked this place and will go again most likely while visiting Seattle.

My company held an event here. We had the top floor to ourselves, and part of the bottom floor. The place is spacious — lots of seats and standing room. The service was good — the staff ensured we all had our drinks filled and made sure we are okay. Food wise, it’s decent. It was all finger food, but it wasn’t bad. The chicken wings were decent. the sliders were a bit below average. There were other types of snacks but I didn’t eat them. Overall — we had a decent time.

This review is based on 3 – 4 recent visits at Rock Bottom. Just left TAP House after waiting for 15 to 20 mins for a server to take my order. Since I was on my lunch break, I could not wait any longer so I put on a dollar for the water I did not touch. Rock Bottom was just nearby so I went to this place instead. It was open seating when I was there(3.30pm) and my server greeted me just a few minutes right after I sat down. Ordered Lobster and Shrimp Enchiladas with Ceasar Salad side order. Even the side order portion was big enough as an entrée. The Enchiladas was good too. I usually ordered cajun pasta. It was good also. If you are a big eater like me, don’t bother their street food. Not that it is not great, it is just small heheh and you will probably end up ordering more than one.(I had to order 1 street food and 3 side orders to keep me filled up) Over all: server was good. Nice and friendly. Food was food. Free wifi. They really earned my four star.

The pizza blahhhh. Too salty and oily. The crust is good though. The service is good. Very informative and attentive. Love their beer selections. Maybe I’ll order something else next time. Overall good.

I recently realized that I come here all the time; but I’d never written a review. This is the watering hole for our company’s local office. I’ve had many annual performance appraisals here; great ones I might add! Whenever we’re there after work, we have the Nachos. For lunches and dinners I often have the Brewer’s Club Sandwich. And one of the best IPAs around; Hop Bomb! Lots of TVs, so a great place to watch games.

I have not been here for ages. I am surprised by the lack of business on Valentine’s day, one of the busiest days for the restaurant industry. Despite not having a packed house, they were out of crayons for kids and 2 IPAs. The beer was not good. I expect better from a brewery restaurant. I ordered chili and BBQ chicken salad. Both were good for the price they charge. Four stars for the food, not for the beer. Kiddo liked her chicken tenders and mashed potato. The price is family friendly. We will be back again.

I am not a big Unilocaler and when I do review, it is for the most part, in celebration for exquisite food, service or both. Here we have a situation of a restaurant in transition that for whatever reason, has gone down the tubes faster than the painful bowel movement it’s «food» will most likely inflict. It gives me no pleasure to write this as the section we were in was hopelessly understaffed. While other workers stood around on their phones, this poor waitress was hopelessly swamped and had no idea what was on the menu as they changed them. again… I ordered the turkey burger and my friend ordered the cheeseburger. If this restaurant was swamped, I would understand the food coming out lack luster but the reality was it was close to closing time, and the kitchen ceased to give a fuck about what was on the plates they were sending out. The turkey burger was charred on the outside and soft in the middle. Which would have been perfect if I ordered it that way but the waitress never even asked how we wanted it to be cooked so there Ya go. The cole slaw was chopped onion with honey mustard on it and the cheeseburger was borderline inedible. In an effort to salvage these disasters we waited for ketchup. There was none on the table so we had to flag down the waitress which was the last thing she wanted to hear. If you are looking for a dry on the outside and salmonella on the inside experience get a burger here. This place used to be so good with such amazing menu items such as the Titan’s Toothpicks, outstanding Asiago spinach dip and big juicy burgers. Now, it’s a poorly managed, retail factory of fuckery I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to. If you’re in the galleria go to California Pizza Kitchen, The Taphouse or just catch a feral cat, light up a dumpster fire and have a bbq. All much more attractive alternatives to dining in this once glorious now embarrassment of a brewery.

This review is 95% based off the service. The food was tasty, but the staff made my visit. I was blown away by how awesome the staff is here. I got to visit with the brew master Sarah about multiple local breweries. The hostess, Elizabeth was awesome! And my waitress was amazing and possibly due to my beer flights I forget her name! The receipt says So-she! Shout out! Will definitely be going back. PS the winter elf brew was amazing! And I could drink the stout all day!

This Rock Bottom Restaurant is located in the same complex in Downtown Bellevue as Gene Juarez, Taphouse, and LA Fitness. It is convenient to walk to if you park anywhere around Downtown Bellevue, including Bellevue Square or Lincoln Center. Also they have the Bellevue Galleria parking which is attached to the actual building, and Rock Bottom validates parking here(not sure for how long — probably 4 hours like Gene Juarez). The beers are cheap. The food is decently-priced — but for the most part, most of the food is a-ok at best. The only thing I really recommend here(foodwise) is their pretzel sticks with the spicy dip. They use the pizza crust and the sticks are truly delicious. I’ve ordered something with chicken, and it’s hit and miss. Sometimes it’s half-raw, and sometimes it’s way overcooked. And it’s clear they don’t clean their grill frequently enough(if at all) because I could scrape charcoal off my chicken breast with a spoon. Not very appetizing. What is not obvious to customers is that there is a very nice upstairs to this restaurant, which is never open(I mean, never has been when I’ve been here, and I come a few times a month). There is a whole separate bar upstairs, and a juke-box, and pool tables. It’s very disappointing that they don’t utilize it to their advantage. I’m sure you can book private parties up there, and I must say that would be an excellent venue for a gathering from 15 to 60 people. Rock Bottom sends me emails with various events after I subscribed to their mailing list. However, it seems that those events aren’t very well planned, because my husband and I have shown up several times and the employees didn’t seem to know what we were talking about. I don’t know if it’s a gimmick just to get customers into their door, but not very successful.

We showed up at 12:20 and there was no greeter or server. We sat ourselves down at the bar and about 20 mins later a server shows up saying they did the last call 20 minutes ago. I personally didn’t really want to come here anyway so we left and went to another bar. I don’t know if it’s common to do last calls 40 minutes before closing time but maybe it is here. My previous experiences here haven’t been that great anyway. Mediocre beers and food. Kid friendly though during lunch and dinner.

Visited here for a Puzzled Pint event( , for anyone interested). This place has a large seating space which meant they could well handle the 80 or so people who attended the event. We wanted to sit near the puzzlers, however, so we took our seats at the bar. The bartender was a really nice, efficient guy who took good care of us the whole evening. They had a number of beers on tap and I enjoyed the dark beer I had, just can’t quite remember the name. The 3 stars, however, are because I was really disappointed with my dinner. The veggie burger, with the beans + oats patty, was so dry and bland that I couldn’t finish it. Even the fries lacked the crispiness I’m used to. Maybe other items on their menu are better, but I’ll need to try them out before I up my rating.
