This place was awful. Do not eat here. You will pay way too much for terrible food. You’re better off to go drive thru…

This was our very first and last visit to this place. The food was barely above decent and the price compared to a real sit down restaurant, not something found in a mall food court. After tip it was over $ 50 for two adults and 2 kids. Save your time and money and hit a Taco Bell instead. Btw no free drink refills, so drink lightly or preplan ahead and bring your own drink.

Eh. This is one of the offerings in the Crossroads Food Court. It’s fairly generic Mexican food, nothing exciting, nothing horrible. They’ve gotten my order wrong on several occasions, including my last visit. The bill always feels a little high for what you get, but I guess that’s Bellevue for you. The owners have always been nice when we go(my kid loves the burritos).

I think I’m done with Crossroads Mall’s food court. My boss says it is dreadful, and while it is not completely without merit, I do have to wonder why I keep looking for that one good restaurant when it is probably not even there to begin with. I only came to this restaurant because its neighbor, Papaya, did a terrible job of filling me up for dinner. The truth is that Torero’s Taqueria isn’t any better. I ordered a chimichanga here that was like nine or ten dollars. Yeah, there was just a single one of these things on a plate and with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on top. This was okay but did not make me full even after I had already just had a bowl of phở from the restaurant right next to this one. I feel like my money went to waste. Crossroads has food options that are average at best and useless at worst.

Oh man, if only there had been some EFFORT put in here. I wanted to like it. I wanted to be thrilled that there was REAL Mexican available in a mall food court. Sadly, my wet burrito was: 1. Fairly dry. Go figure. 2. Filled with solid pinto beans with zero seasoning. 3. Bland, oddly textured, and mostly crappy safeway style tortilla. Do yourself a favor if you go here and at least stay away from anything with pinto beans or in a burrito shell. I don’t understand all of the positive reviews. Even on their worse day, would it kill someone to make fresh tortillas or God forbid, mash the pinto beans so they can actually be eaten in burrito form instead of squashing everywhere?

Super fast, cheapest food station at crossroads, FRESH, delicious and tons of flavor! Really really good! I had the carne asada and al pastor tacos! Excellent choices. I am VERY happy I chose this place!

This place is overpriced and the food presentation is terrible. I came here with a group of friends and we got a half order of nachos and a burrito. The burrito was a decent size, but the scoop of sour cream that was supposed to come with it was not really a scoop but a pathetic little smear on the plate. Since the burrito was so large I would have liked more than one bite of sour cream. The nachos were the worst part about the meal. The edges were black and burnt and looked awful. A few diced tomatoes had been clumped on a corner of the nachos instead of spread out. Clearly the cooks couldn’t care less about presentation. For the price I paid I expected far better than what I recieved. Don’t waste your money here.

This place is in a food court and it’s pretty good food. The prices are reasonable and the portions are quite large.

This place has been one of my favorites from the Crossroads Food Court since I was growing up in Bellevue. Over the years, this place hasn’t been too impressive, but it’s definitely the place to go for consistent food across the board. Every time I go, I order a chicken taco combination and ‘snack’ off of my friends plates. I’ll admit, I’m definitely ‘that friend’, but I love tasting all the different flavors and foods. With this food, I feel that the flavors and ingredients are all more or less the same, but in different forms. Don’t expect anything that will knock your socks off or authentic Mexican fare, but for food court Tex-Mex, this place is a solid bet. Also, it’s important for larger groups to note they usually bring out plates individually so if eating in a large group, you will get food at different times.

Wow, I am surprised at the number of good reviews this place has gotten. Being out for lunch with co-workers who couldn’t decide what to eat, a couple of them suggested the Crossroads food court. I chose Torero’s because they had a chammoros using lamb and the last time I had any form of chammoros was in Mexico City. I ordered that and a co-worker order a burrito without beans and onions because of allergies. The chammoros took almost twenty minutes to get to the table, and in the meantime my co-worker had to return his burrito and this time watch them to ensure there were no beans nor onions on this attempt. When I got the chommoros, smothered in a bland sauce(nothing adobo about it), but it was tender and went well with there hot sauce. The rice and beans had a flavor of being overcooked and half the rice was almost non-chewable. Half way into the chammoros itself, I hit a piece of meat near the bone that was still at the most 40 degrees Fahrenheit and cold to the touch, so I had to stop eating. I informed the cooks, telling them that I didn’t anything new, and they just shrugged off the cold meat and continued to prepare meals, which they did exceeding slowly. Nothing about this place inspired even a glimmer of a desire to return.

I ordered the nachos with ground beef. Talk about greasy! Had to use my napkin to sop up the grease to make it semi edible. I think I will try one of the many other food options in the food court next time. The taste? The beef wasn’t really seasoned. The salsa helped, and it came with sour cream and guacamole which was a plus.

I’m pretty difficult to satisfy when it comes to «mexican» food. I put it in «» because I’m sure my idea of mexican food is not the same idea of mexican food that a native mexican has. This place is in a mall food court, so the quality of the food is shocking. We’ve been here several times, and each time everything is hot and ridiculously good. Another reviewer stated that the burrito«is good» but there’s not enough to go with it and additional items are a la carte. Well, yes, other items are a la carte. But the burrito is HUGE and it has rice inside it. You don’t need other crap on the side. The tacos are delicious, and the beef enchilada was the best I’ve had in years. I honestly could not believe how delicious it was. And their variety of salsas/sauces are very tasty. I don’t find the food court setting to be awkward at all, and the beauty of the setting allows you to bring your own drink. I’m a cheap bastard, so I love that. My husband and I had lunch here the other day. He had a giant burrito, I had the friday special(taco, enchilada, rice, beans) and our bill was less than $ 17. The friday special was less than $ 9. I think that price is pretty okay for a full plate of hot delicious food. And the special goes all day, too. Not just lunch. This place is a new favorite for us.

Bland food, but good sauces to put with it. Good sauces can make up for a lot. Imagine if the food were actually good. Burritos are good, but there isn’t enough to go with it. They make you get everything a la cart, at a price that isn’t great.

I grew up eating here, so I have a soft spot for it. From when I was born to when I was a preteen, I would order horchata and big bowl of beans, rice and cheese and fill it up with pico de gallo. Now when I go, I just order a large cheese enchilada. Their cheese enchiladas are to die for. It’s basically just a giant plate of melted cheese with delicious enchilada sauce mixed in. I also highly recommend their chicken tamales or the taco salad. The only things I don’t like are the high prices, the awkward food court setting and that the salsa is always warm with wilted tomatoes no matter what time I go.

I’ve been eating at Torero’s for close to 30 years. From the humble beginnings in Factoria to near king county dominance. I would take them over Azteca any day of the week. I wish I could endorse all there locations but unfortunately some do it well, others not so much. For some reasons that taqueria’s appears to have more flavor and both this and the Sea Tac Mall location appear to do it better. Living in Bellevue for years I have eaten here countless times. Matter of fact is was pretty much a must either before or after a movie at the theater in the mall. I’ll make this short. The food gets an A, I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with the flavor. Unfortunately the portions can be small and even though they charge as much as a regular restaurant, you get no chips or salsa with your meal. The counter service is also less than impressive. You want good food, you got it, but service and price and portion are nothing to make Mexico proud. Try it, you’ll like it, but your pocket book won’t.

Mall food court quality at restaurant prices. $ 12 for a fajita meal. The meat portion consisted of one chicken thigh? $ 6 for a burrito that was loaded with rice. Didn’t see much chicken in there. $ 2.25 for a lengua taco. $ 2 for a soda. One would think a soda would come with the $ 12 fajita. Really nothing special about the food. At those prices, I won’t be eating there again.

Been going to Torero’s for 14 years… I always order the same thing. 2 chicken soft tacos. green spicy salsa to go over the top. Healthy, fresh and really yummy. My kids love it too.

The crispy shell taco is one of my all time favorite cuisines and this place has the BEST shell I have EVER eaten. So crispy and fresh. I would go back just for the shell. Guacamole was awesome too.

This is one of those restaurants you can just walk into and order food without meaning to. You can be walking through Crossroads Mall, doing whatever shopping you need to do, when suddenly you realize that you’re in front of Torero’s. «Obviously,» you will say to yourself, «this is why I came to Crossroads in the first place.» And then, as naturally as grass grows and mountains just sit there, you will peruse the menu, enjoying basically anything that they have to offer(as long as you’re not allergic to it). The cantina area is more fun to watch than to be in, so I’d reccommend sitting out in the more common area. On a related note, this is one of the only places I’d say people should bring their kids. I think the reason I feel this way is Torero’s is in a mall, where the downtrodden masses will ALWAYS be dragging around their parasitic offspring; plus there’s enough noise from the other people passing by that individual screaming crotch-goblins can be drowned out. If you’re not into mexican food, you can still eat here. Get the chicken quesadillas. They’re tasty and they are very unlikely to offend your palate, even if you normally avoid mexican food for that reason. They’re rich and filling and I believe I’ll say it again to make sure you got it: They’re tasty. For those with the ability to eat more than one thing, the menu here will keep you busy for a while trying out new things. They lost one star because the mall allows children. Sorry.
