Ruxandra is the best! She has a great space, a very welcoming personality and does a top-​notch job in all that she does. For spa related treatments anywhere in the Sound area, I’d look no farther than Xandra Spa.

I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for about 12 years, and Ruxandra is hands down the BEST aesthetician I’ve ever been to! She is meticulous, completely hygenic, and almost entirely pain-​free (no mean feat for a wax in that area!). To top it off, she’s a lovely, genuine person and a pleasure to spend time with. I’m not usually an overly effusive person, but I find myself gushing whenever I speak about my experiences with Ruxandra. I can’t recommend her highly enough — what a find!

I got her Living Social deal because I saw that she was located close to me and I had never had any kind of treatment done, so I was pretty nervous going in. I read these reviews and honestly was skeptical (because how often do you see all 5 stars for ANYONE on Unilocal), but seriously! She deserves it! Super quick, but did a great job and even made some corrections to make sure everything looked right. Overall a (VERY surprisingly) pleasant experience! I look forward to going back to see her! I’m not the girliest of girls and I don’t spend much time or money on spa treatments, but curiosity and a Living Social deal lead to me visit Ruxandra for a Brazilian wax. It had been about eight years since my last wax so I really didn’t know to expect.
Ruxandra is a beautiful and friendly woman. Her personality will put you at ease immediately (which is crucial considering she gets to third base with you in less than five minutes). She has many years of experience doing waxing, and it shows. For my session, she used simple products (Johnson & Johnson baby powder and oil) and didn’t try to sell me any fancy exfoliants or lotions.
Ruxandra did a fantastic job on my Brazilian wax, working quickly yet thoroughly, while maintaining genuine conversation. My only advice is to schedule appointments with her early as she is in high demand.

Ruxandra is the BEST there is, no exaggeration. Just try to book an appointment with her… the secret’s out and now her schedule is packed. This actually makes me happy, because she is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Plus, if you have to reschedule she works magic to squeeze you in.
I’ve tried other places in a crunch, but no one comes close! Why go to Ruxandra?
–She mixes professionalism with friendly conversation perfectly.
–She is very neat with her work, there is not wax flying everywhere.
–She does not burn you.
–She keeps everything sanitary.
–She does the least painful waxing EVER.
–Her work is impeccable, and she prides herself on getting every little hair.
–Her prices are actually on the low end of average. She could easily charge $ 5-​$ 20 more, depending on the service. (I actually tip her at least 20%, because that quality of work with such reasonable prices deserves the extra money.)
–The results are awesome! Perfectly smooth every time.
I have been going to Ruxandra for several months and I have NEVER been dissatisfied. My skin is sensitive and NOT once have I been in pain from the waxing.
Bottom line. Ruxandra is a gem of a person and a gem of a waxer.

I bought a livingsocial because of all the amazing reviews, making an appointment was easy and she was really friendly. Like other reviewers said, she treated me as a full paying customer, I would have gladly paid for her service. She is hands-​down, THE BEST.
I have had some painful experiences, I have to say, she was professional and very gentle with pulling, so really, it wasn’t painful at all.
She is very sweet and outgoing and truly becomes your friend in a minute. I actually enjoyed my brazilian, if you can believe that. =)

OK, let’s face it; getting a Brazilain ranks just one step above a trip to the gyno for most women… I have heard many horror stories from friends and I must say I am so grateful to have Ruxandra as my waxer. She is fast, and makes the experience as comfortable as possible. She is conversational and sweet, and I genuinely enjoy our chats when we’re together (never mind the fact that she’s speaking into my you-​know-​what for 30 minutes). Yeah… pretty sure Ruxandra officially knows me more intimately than my own boyfriend… :)
If you’re new to the Bazilian experience, I highly recommend Ruxandra. She is the BEST at what she does, hands down. I have been going to her for years, have followed her from location to location, and will continue to follow her for as long as she is in business.

I went today for what was my second Brazilian wax (ever). The difference between my first experience and this one was like night and day. I was a little apprehensive because I just moved here and normally like to get recommendations from friends before I visit someplace new, but when I saw the deal on living social, I thought I couldn’t pass it up.
Xandra was absolutely amazing! I won’t lie and say it didn’t hurt at all because duh, think about where the wax is going. But I will say the discomfort was minor. She took her time and did small areas at a time, instead of ripping the hair off in huge chunks. She was very personable and made me feel right at ease, which isn’t easy to do when you’re partially naked in front of a stranger. She’s such a sweetheart and for as long as I’m living here, she will absolutely be getting my business.

As we grow up we realize the importance of developing lasting relationships for our benefit. In many aspects of our busy lives it’s essential to find and keep a great insurance agent, financial adviser, family doctor, dentist, etc.
I think all my ladies would agree that finding a great waxer is just as crucial as having a great hair stylist! And when you find that gem, you do everything to keep them and you follow them around when they change companies or locations.
Ruxandra has been that gem for me for nearly 5 years. Our paths first crossed while she was working with Wax-​on. From my first visit I was hooked. Polite, fun, made me feel comfortable (important while working über up close and personal with private areas), her work was fast, relatively painless and exceptionally detailed.
As of recently, Ruxandra decided to become independent, which I can only support and commend, and started operating under the roof of Salon Tewl in Bellevue. Her waxing room is warm and cozy and Xandra Spa offers a full array of waxing and skin care services.
