I have never been in to the store myself, but I have been in a drawn out dispute with the owners of this company over an online purchase I made… that they refuse to ship to me! I should say I am in a dispute with me, myself, and I. I couldn’t get any replies from the owners, so I had to file a paypal dispute and escalate it to a claim which takes weeks. Word of advice, do NOT order from the this stores website(or go in the store either if the other terrible, terrible reviews are any indication) ! I ordered a pricey car seat and used a discount code listed on the home page of their website, and then I never got sent my item I paid for. The promotion that I used toward this car seat was posted on the front home page, had no restrictions(I made sure there was nothing listed anywhere, I had been looking and waiting for a deal for this particular car seat for months), and was applied towards my purchase in the shopping cart no problem. Pretty much the only correspondence I received back from them is the discount was supposed to be for fall style clothing only and that she couldn’t sell a car seat for that much of a discount. She then said that their website guy was addressing the problem, and that she was on vacation out of town and she would resolve this issue the next day. That was 3 weeks ago. I don’t care if you don’t make money on the car seat… you took my money I want what I paid for. It’s been a month and still no refund or car seat. Thank goodness I paid through paypal… hopefully I will get at least a refund. Also, the phone number to the store doesn’t work, so that’s also another red flag in my book. Next time I will pay full price at babies R us, I have learned my lesson. I suggest staying far, far away! Keep your money away from these greedy people.

I recently went here with my family, and picked up some toys for my son on the way to Sports Authority next door. They were somewhat overpriced for what they were, but my son seemed to like it and we saw a sign saying 10% off for purchase over $ 25, so we went ahead and picked them up. When the clerk rang them up, she informed us that 10% off applies for only the items that are over $ 25 each, therefore I’ll have to pay full price. My son was already wanting to play with them, so I went ahead and made the purchase. While shopping in the Sports Authority, we realized that one of the toys was defective. We returned to the store, in no more than 2 hours. We requested refund of the purchased items as one was defective and other was unopened. Their receipt clearly stated 14 day return policy, unless the items were sold were on sale. The items were clearly not on sale, as argued previously by their own clerk. The clerk responded to request for refund, saying that she needs to contact the owner for authorization for refund. The owner did not answer the phone. The clerk said comeback another day. I responded that I live rather far away, and asked what guarantee would I have for the owner’s availability for authorization if I returned on another day. The clerk shrugged, and said I’ll have to keep trying. I told her that they will have to figure out a way to honor their own written return policy, or I’ll have to submit a dispute claim with the credit card company, as it was clear that the issue could not be resolved with the merchant. I followed up with the credit card company once the charge was posted, and explained exactly what happened. The card company issued a credit, after contacting both parties. Now the owner, Bianca, has left a message on my personal phone, which I gave to the store for customer-id purpose for future purchases, if any. In the recorded message, she made a threat to «Call police for fraud,» and that«it won’t be pretty,» because she has video of me making the purchase; and demanded that I call my credit card company immediately. I sincerely want her to file a criminal complaint. So that I can: 1. counter file a criminal complaint for fraud, for not honoring their own return policy, refusing to accept defective merchandise and unopened merchandise; 2. If I do get arrested based on her complaint against me, I’ll file a defamation suit on top of that in civil court, and seek damage; 3. She has used my personal information to make threats, so I’ll also seek a legal council to see if another criminal complaint can be filed in a federal court for violation of Privacy Act; 4. Not to mention such calling is straight up harassment; 5. I’ll share this experience with every group I can find, including mother’s groups, consumer rights groups, chamber of commerce, better business bureau and any other groups that may be even remotely interested in this event; 6. I will Tweet, put on Facebook, and write a Unilocal review and spread this information on every social media I have access to. 7. I will contact Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover network to report violation of Merchant’s Terms and Conditions, and seek a resolution to get the ability to accept credit card revoked, if possible. Hey~ Bianca, I already called my credit card company like you suggested. I told them exactly what you said in the recording, and I’ve been informed that you already had your chance to make your case with them, and if you have disagreement, you were to contact them directly, not call the consumer and make threats. Go ahead, call the credit card company. Meanwhile, I’ll be sharing this information with anyone who might be interested. And please do keep the video. It better show the part where I return for refund, otherwise you may be charged with tempering with evidence on top of all the things you will have to face. Good luck with your business. I guess it won’t be pretty after all.
