We’re very upset. We just bought a game there on Aug 30th and just gave to our friend for her birthday last weekend. She opened it up to discover it is a used game. The box is ripped, bags have all been opened and the wrappers from everything are all stuffed in the box. It looks like someone opened it the re-wrapped it. This was the first time we went to your shop and I was wondering do you make it a habit to open games and re-wrap them and sell them as new? Also I keep trying to call your shop and know one is answering. What’s up?

Firstly, I’m a parent of a young teen and have deliberated the merits of war ‘gaming’. We eventually caved in largely because of the advice of the nice young lady who works at Eagles; she nicely advised us folks to CHILL. We did, still do. Eagles is a great place if your child is into gaming, war hammer and all of that stuff. The staff are the best around. They are such nice people; very passionate about what they are in to and as equally interested in what your child is up to. Parents, get to know this place and the people inside; a lot of your money will end up here, you may be pleasantly surprised to see how much value your child is getting from all of this(middle aged men who still do this — well. get a life). The craft that goes with War hammer is impressive to say the least. I highly recommend Eagles. We’re lucky to have such a high quality hobby shop.

This is the kind of hobby and game store that all stores aspire to be like. This was apparently once a franchise of American Eagles in Seattle, but is now independently owned and operated. The highlights: – Great location in old downtown Bellingham, on a corner with a nice bay view. – Not the largest store in the world, but it makes up for it with a surprising selection.
Gaming: Tons of Games Workshop and other minis. A really good selection of board games, including everything from the hip euro/rail/Catan-type through a surprising number of out-of-print wargames. There are also a fair number of RPGs, though they can be a little hard to find as they’re crammed into bookcases at the end of two adjacent aisles. Also a good selection of collectible trading cards, HeroClix, etc. Hobby: Model kits from all the major manufacturers and some of the minors; you’ll find everything from Ertl car kits to Tamiya and Dragon armor through Academy, Tamiya, Hasegawa, and Revell Germany aircraft. They even have some ships. The size of the store prevents it from having a truly cutting-edge selection, but they always seem to have a few cool new kits along with a lot of older, hard-to-find stuff. Don’t miss the selection of sci-fi and horror kits. Supplies: Full paint racks from Citadel, Floquil/Polly S, Testors(basic andby Model Master), and I *think* Tamiya. They also had at least one rack of Vallejo. Hobby tools and supplies from all the above, plus Excel and others. Plenty of paint, from full racks of Citadel, some Vallejo, lots of Floquil and Polly S, and the basic Testors and Model Master lines. I think there might also be a Tamiya rack. Other: There are a couple of corners packed with puzzles, science toys, and other more general-interest schtuff. Service: Unlike most game/hobby/comic/nerd stores in the world, the staff here are very friendly, have social skills, are helpful and cordial without smothering, and appear to always be clean. This is an important plus in my book. There’s also a separate space with tables for organized games just around the corner, but I’ve never ventured in there. Whenever I’m in Bellingham, I swing by here and usually find something I can’t live without. I’d rather shop here than any game store I’ve found in the Puget Sound, and it’s my second favorite model store in Washington as well.

When I was young(I mean like high school young) I use to hangout here on a regular basis. The store was in a different area but the owner Stacy was always friendly and helpful. Don’t know if he still owns it, but if he does I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a hobby store.
