La Fiamma is great, but Fat Pie is the best pizza in Bellingham. I’ve had both Detroit and Chicago style here, and both have been excellent. The Chicago style crust is almost croissant-like in texture, and they fill the pizza generously. Service has always been nice, even when the restaurant is packed. There is a neat rooftop bar and dining area that is beautiful on a nice day, and they make a great iced tea lemonade. Definitely a must visit when in the ‘ham!

I had the best time at Fat Pie the other night. The staff was stellar and the deep dish pie was delicious. My friend and I split a Caesar salad and it was really good — it had anchovies(optional) and large pieces of shaved parmesan on top. Yum! We shared a small Chicago style pizza — The Wrigley Field — and I was transported to Chicago. Seriously, the last deep dish pizza I ate was in Chicago and I dream about that puppy. Now I have a waking life option. I also love their hot oil(is garlic in it?) that you can drizzle on the top of the pizza — it is a nice touch. I’m really happy to have found Fat Pie — really happy.

I love this place. The pizza is amazing and i love the resturant. The ingredients seem so fresh and their is so much flavor. The 57 Packard pizza is my favorite with the Detroit style crust

Pizza and Rooftops! Great Great Great happy hour for anyone not on a diet. Diets are no fun here– you’d be missing the best menu items. PIZZA. Crispy, soft, cheesy, toppings-galore pizza. And great wine bottle specials to match. Three options of crust/style to choose from, and trust me, you’ll have a tough time. Sit on the rooftop deck if it’s sunny– it’s definitely a different view of Fairhaven than most places have. We also got hummus and it was rad– though I could’ve probably used the space for more pizza. Mojito’s were rad too. According to the boyfriend.

I had been meaning to try Fat Pie for some time now and I figured the last day of summer was a perfect opportunity to sit outside and enjoy some pizza and sunshine! The restaurant itself is beautiful. Brick walls, greenery and outdoor seating with an amazing view — the perfect ambiance. Upon arrival we asked the hostess if we could sit outside at the very top of the building. She said unfortunately we could not but the second floor patio was an option. I found it strange that she didn’t offer any reason as to why we couldn’t sit there. As someone who works at a restaurant, I figured that there might not be a server on in that section, no big deal. However, this was not the case as I watched the hostess lead several other parties up to the rooftop seating. I feel that she should have given us an explanation so that we didn’t have a bad impression of their ability to accommodate to guest requests. Unfortunately, our server was not much better. She was slow and didn’t come by to refill our waters once. She had one other table so her poor service was not understandable. When it comes to the actual pizza, one thing I really liked was the great assortment of flavor combinations. I had a really hard time deciding, but my friend and I ordered the 57 Packard on Chicago style crust. Fat Pie doesn’t really offer any«in between» options for crust, it’s either deep dish or crispy thin! When the pizza came out, it was greasy and lack luster. There were WAY too many caramelized onions and not nearly enough of the other toppings. Very disappointed with my experience.

First I went to a local wood fire pizza joint not too far based on high reviews. Walked in took a look around and walked out. I drove to Fat Pie and so happy I did they Exceeded expectations. I am not a fan of too many toppings on a pizza crust and people calling that a «deep dish». To me its soggy and gross. NOT here at Fat Pie. The crust was unbelievable perfect, toppings had just the right amount, and all the flavors worked well together.

One of my favorite restaurants in Bellingham, been many times and never left disappointed. I usually stick to a Detroit crust pizza, but everything I’ve tried has been excellent. The staff is friendly and the service excellent!

Arrived to Bellingham intending to go to downtown Bellingham. Was told by the hotel staff to go to Historic Fairhaven. Stumbled on Fat Pie Pizza during their happy hour(9pm to close) and it was fantastic! Great small bites, great wine selection, and we were offered a free pie slice to go since they were closing and didn’t want it to go to waste. The wait staff was fantastic! Come here, you won’t be disappointed.

Being from Chicago, I am natural born pizza snob. Since we moved to Bellingham we have tried a lot of pizza places but as the saying goes, «There’s no place like home.» Haha! Bellingham is really not a pizza town. My apologies to the native ‘Hamsters. Bellingham is all kinds of awesome and has so many amazing things to offer but good pizza is not one of those things. We had been into Fat Pie three times before tonight and the pizza at Fat Pie has been some of the best pizza in Bellingham. Is it in the same league as Chicago pizza? Not exactly but it was still pretty decent. We have family visiting us from Chicago this week and decided to take them to Fat Pie. It was rainy and cold so we could not take advantage of the rooftop deck(one of our fave things about Fat Pie), but we asked to be seated close to the bar so we could watch the Chicago Cubs playoff game which was on TV. Our pizza tonight was unfortunately just awful. We ordered a large Chicago style pizza for the adults and a small plain cheese Brooklyn style pizza for the kids. When the pizzas came the Chicago style pizza was not cut. Uncut pizza? I have never been served an uncut pizza in the 40 years I lived in Chicago. The waiter told us cutting it was his job. As he began to cut, the pizza just disintegrated into an unappetizing mess. The Chicago style pizza at Fat Pie is a deep dish style and this particular pizza tonight for some reason was all sauce and barely any cheese. The slice I received was basically bread and sauce. The toppings had fallen off into the pan. The food we were all eating was really not even recognizable as pizza. It looked like red slop, and as we all ate each of our plates had a large pile of thick chunky sauce we had all been scraping over to the side of the plates. The Chicago style pizza had 3 – 4 times the amount of sauce it had the last time we ordered the same thing at Fat Pie. The kids’ thin pizza at least looked like a pizza. However it too was over-sauced and the crust was undercooked and felt like a wet sponge. It was the first time we had leftover cheese pizza and my kids did not want to take it home, so that speaks volumes. We debated complaining based on the fact that we joke about being pizza snobs from Chicago and maybe we are simply expecting too much. But then we heard people at the table next to us complain about their spongy thin crust pizza. I asked the waiter if they were training new kitchen staff because we were disappointed in our meal. I explained that we had been in before, had ordered the same things, and that this meal we received tonight was nothing like what we had eaten there before. He was very apologetic and said that yes, they were training new kitchen staff. The manager came over shortly afterwards and apologized that our meal was not up to their normal quality standards. She said she really appreciated that we mentioned that we had been in before and the meal we received tonight was not on par with what we had eaten before. She did not charge us for our meal and actually gave us a gift certificate to come back another night and give them another try. So what could have been a really crappy dining experience turned out to be a great experience in customer service. I was so impressed with how committed the Fat Pie manager and staff was to making sure we had a good experience and that we would come back. Therefore I really recommend giving Fat Pie a try. We certainly will be going back!

We explored the dock and trail area for over an hour and we decided it was time for lunch. Headed back up toward the town and decided on eating at Fat Pie Pizza. We shared a Bison Bacon burger, Marshall Fields pizza and a Cobb salad with hard boiled egg. Everything was delicious! There was nothing left and we rolled out of the restaurant. Here’s a tip-Show your Fat Pie receipt at Rocket Donuts(next door) and get 15% the whole order!

I had the regular size Brooklyn ’57 Packard pizza. Very yummy. Plenty of chicken, bacon, carmalized onions, and gorgonzola cheese. Crust was ok too. My guest had a spinach bacon salad, also tasty. We sat on the 2nd floor deck. It was about 62*f, but they had the clear plastic curtains drawn, so plenty of sunlight was still able to make its way to us, plus you get to look around. It’s a rather unique floorpan, as soon as you walk in you see the pizza man making ‘em. Very nice décor, and clean n nice bathrooms, even with real flowers. Interesting. Our server was just fine. A little too chatty though joining our conversation uninvited. But our receipt got us 15% off ice cream and donuts next door at Acme ice cream /Rocket donut. So that was nice. The same guy owns em all, and also Acme Diner on Hwy 9, just east of Lk. Watcom, another one of my favorites.

Just YUM! Only reason it’s not a 5 star is because several of the lies sounds exactly the same. The pizzas are yummmmmy! We had the Packard on a Chicago style crust and a Uno in the Brooklyn and they hit the spot. Great flavor and very rich and satisfying. A slice is enough. Great to share with friends!

This place was fantastic. My wife and I were in town for a few days and went there for happy hour(which was a generous 2−6pm). I got a glass of the house white and the hummus plate, she got a salad, and we split a gluten free pizza with 2 toppings. After a ~23% tip, the bill came to $ 34. That’s pretty fantastic. Gluten free pizza is really hard to pull off. I eat gluten, but my wife doesn’t, so I’m sensitive to when it feels like I should’ve just got something separate for myself instead of sharing something GF with her. But in this case, I was totally satisfied with the GF pizza. Everything was good, the service was solid, and the atmosphere was great. Bathrooms were lovely; much more so than I would’ve expected for a pizza place. We would definitely come back again.

I had a late lunch here on a hot and sunny Sun. We got a seat on the upper roof deck and ordered some Detroit style pizza with sausage. It was very good the sauce was outstanding with some spice to it the cheese was great and the sausage was very tasty. I like thicker crust and this was like a thicker pan pizza. Over all I really liked the pizza and so did my 4 year old girl. My wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken which took almost 10 min longer than our pizza to come out? Why? It was good but strange. Nice place so we will be back.

We came here once before and it was decent. So we decided to come back again to try it again The waiter was so rude we walked out. We asked him what kind of dressings they had. And he said the usual kinds as a response. So I asked for«honey mustard» he said no we don’t have that. So I asked ok so can you tell me what you have so I can decide. He said I don’t know I have to go look. Rolled his eyes and walks off like I was putting him out. He came back with the list and an attitude. We told him we were leaving and he obnoxiously responded back. Too bad they had such shitty service that night.

Local establishment that caters to the tourists that aren’t coming back. No local friendliness & not paternized by locals. Expensive & not close to Chicago style pizza, casserole on dough. A one time hit. Bathrooms are clean, top deck is great.

Passable. Thank goodness we got there during happy hour when things were a touch cheaper. I’ve been to UNO’s, and this place isn’t it. The food is decent, but nothing to write home about. It takes 30 minutes on average for a pizza. They didn’t cut the whole thing, rather just the first piece. The deep dish pizza: The crust is okay. The sauce was okay. The ingredients were okay. I didn’t really notice distinct layers, and it kinda fell apart after it was cut. It could have used more cheese. Overall, it was okay. I don’t know if it was actual deep dish.

Chicago is not as big as expected for the price, the Denver however is huge. The salad was a good amount but very plain.
