Great drinks and atmosphere. I was a bit offended when I was waiting at the table and the person I was with went to get the drinks and the bartender was hesitant to give him the second drink because he said«someone told him the girl you are with appeared to be intoxicated.» I was not intoxicated and had to go and speak to the bartender for him to confirm I was sober enough to have another drink. I would understand this issue if I was obliterated and drunk but I showed no signs of this and had only had one drink prior. It is a nice bar with great drinks but maybe being in a college town makes them a bit bias. I was just a bit offended to be honest.

The best bar in town. I love their strawberry vodka!!! The bartenders are super friendly. The regulars are great. The owners are sweet genuine people with the best kids ever. Absolutely five stars.

A fine, versatile, low key bar with exceptional cocktail creations. Wonderful happy hour(discounts on drinks, wine, etc and free snacks), and«industry night» Thursday, where there is a further discount for service industry professionals. Happy hour has $ 5 off bottles of wine, and I highly recommend any French bottle on the red list. Their infusions and innovative, rotating drink menu are big high points of RL. Be brave here, and it will really pay off.(The best French 75 I’ve ever tasted came from this bar.) Interesting seating options– tables, benches and, as I dub it, the red room. Often come here with groups of friends to play cards. It’s a marvelous spot for a pre-show drink or a date too. Funky and charming. Be prepared to give parking(state street) a few extra minutes and consider parking uphill a touch.

Bloody Mary is excellent in my opinion. Not too thin or thick and great flavor. The ambience is nice and staff was friendly.

A big city bar in the heart of Bellingham. Excellent atmosphere absent of a large TV that kills the mood in many other establishments. Killer music and more craft cocktails than you know what to do with. You may need to wait to order, but what’s the rush?!

This place is alright! Always really cool art on the walls. Drinks are fine. You can get away with asking for fancy stuff, but it always tastes watered down… which is not why I pay lots of money for drinks. They make their own infusions, but I don’t think they give them enough time to soak up the flavor. They do have snacks(like fishy crackers), which is cool. And fun boardgames. And it’s next door to the Green Frog, which is convenient. The red room used to have meat hangers in it, so you’re basically sitting in a haunted house of animals. I’m not a vegetarian, so that doesn’t bother me. It’s actually kind of metal. Main point: I go here with friends all the time and have fun, but if someone asked me where I want to go, I’d suggest somewhere else.

Favorite bar in town. Delicious drinks, amazing infusions and good vibes all around. The building is super cool and has an interesting history. Generally the music is great. They have a jalapeño infused tequila that is amazing in a margarita. They also make the best Bloody Mary in town!

Unique little spot with yummy drinks and food. Servers are friendly and the drinks are strong. They have their own infused liquors and a menu with a variety of handcrafted drinks, many that I’ve never heard of or seen created anywhere else. They don’t have many food options, so this isn’t really a place to get dinner, but it’s where I go when I’m feeling fancy and in the mood for a nice cocktail. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic feeling.

Redlight is the perfect little bar to start(or end) a romantic date. With its exposed brick walks, conversation-worthy art, and subtle lighting I can’t think of a better place in the area for a tasty beverage with your sweetie. The food offerings are slim(but original in the form of yummy homemade bar snacks), so don’t count on a meal here, but they are doing amazing and interesting things with craft cocktails. Don’t see what you’re craving on their ever-changing bar menu? Just talk to the bartender and he’ll come up with something to your liking. Oh and if you like gin ‘n tonics they make a great one here. The dirty vodka martini is no slouch either.

One of the worst places in Bellingham! The wine is awful and the drinks are crap! I’ll NEVER set foot in this place again! They should seriously be ashamed!

Peaceful positive vibe with just a hint of magic. There is often a candle at each table and you can look through their offerings in what appears to be an ancient spell book. Drinks are specific to that place and each one is a work of art and very potent. I like the side room. It’s been beautifully decorated with a keen eye for detail and has cards against humanity. I brought my brother here when he visited and ordered him the dragonaut. He was duly impressed.

This place was everything you hope for in a cozy but unique Bellingham bar… top shelf happy hour cocktails, $ 2 cheese plates, nice wine and beer selection but no tv’s which on occasion is a good thing(this not the place to catch the last qtr of the game). However we did play a board game while there and still had time for 2 drinks and two plates. It would be an awesome place to have a girls night out and claim the red light room. Will definitely plan one of those during our bleak winter evenings, possibly when they have music booked.

SUCH a cute spot! I love that it’s associated with the Good Time Girls, and that they’re opening up a fresh space for private dining /more seating. I would LOVE to have a birthday party here. It’s such a subdued atmosphere. Really nice to have in Bellingham. And outdoor seating! Can’t wait for summer.

The Redlight is awesome. The bartenders are super knowledgeable and friendly, and drink specials are awesome. Also happy hour. Also games. And the few food items I’ve tried have been great.

I have visited twice now, once on a Thursday, once on a Friday. Both nights were surprisingly busy and also surprising, was staffed by only one person each night. Redlight is a cool little bar, there is seating for about 35, and a cool menu with handmade cocktails, and interesting beer, and wine choices. We have enjoyed the fruit and cheese boards that also include some cured meats and nuts. The drinks are expertly made and tasty. The wine I have had is tasty and appreciate that they offer varied choices. We like this little bar. It is in a cool space(a early 20th century storefront) and, on our second visit, a very cool local band played(there was no cover for the entertainment). We have enjoyed ourselves a great deal when we visit the Redlight and will return again.

I stopped in here for the first time a few weeks back and was really, really impressed with Redlight. I was so pleased with my experience here, actually, that it prompted me to download the Unilocal app to my phone just so I could tell you about it. This is my first review, so please bear with me. And if you don’t read to the end, no problem. Just go to the Redlight. From the get-go, the place was comfortable: soft booths, wood floors, nice lighting… it’s a warm, good lookin’ place and even though it’s small(maybe almost as small as Cap’s) it never felt overcrowded among the mingling of younger and older patrons. Next, there was live music: Redlight has a good sounding room which is easy on conversation, and great for the local music that they seem to book quite regularly. That being cool in itself, the bands that were booked that evening were fantastic: The Actual Odds reminded me of a super sludgy Go Slowpoke. Very catchy. And Palisades — B’ham’s best post-punk/post-rock/post-whatever outfit — totally rocked, too. A dance floor opened up, a little bit of beer spilled, but the good folks bartending seemed un-phased, pleased even. Finally, and probably the most important part of a bar review: their drinks. In short, they we’re some of the best I’ve had in this town. This is coming from someone who works in a bar, and ok, I’ll say, drinks in bars quite often. All of my drinks were made from scratch, on the spot, and perfectly mixed too. Service was friendly, and everything came up quick considering the care put into the prep. My Whiskey Sour was made from fresh muddled citrus, not that cat pee that comes out of the gun. And my friend’s Greyhound was made with 100% juice, not from concentrate. Where in Bellingham does that anymore? And my other friend’s Old Fashioned was as great tasting and as good looking as an Old Fashioned oughta be. They had a wide selection of top-shelf liquor, and all of my drinks were 5 dollars, which I thought was very reasonable considering I was drinking Bulleit. They’ve only been open for a year, and maybe I caught them on a particularly glowing night, but I left with the impression that Redlight really gives a shit about making a decent drink at a decent price. Which makes it a great place to go as an alternative to the many other places in town slinging cheap flavored-vodka whatevers at any college kid. I definitely plan on heading back to Redlight soon, and if you haven’t been, I absolutely recommend a visit. They’re on State Street(near Pepper Sisters, next to Green Frog) a few blocks from Holly, but it’s worth the walk.
