I’ve tried to like this place. Every time I order pizza it’s either to well done or not cooked enough. I will say they have a great kids room and strong drinks

Love this place! Hawaiian pizza is incredible, as are the wings. Crab cakes(they were a special) were phenominal! I LOVE coal fired pizza, and Rockin’ Coals knows how to do it, but I think it must be an acquired taste, considering other reviewers are complaining about it. This place is excellent! Perfect date night spot. We even bring our kids during the day for lunch sometimes.

My family of four and I went to Rock and Coal today for a late lunch. When we walked in there was a sign to seat ourselves. Kind of strange for a restaurant, but whatever. We noticed that there were 6 empty tables, out of the 20, that were still dirty with food. My wife took one of my children to the restroom while I sat with the other child. While we were sitting, I noticed one waitress, no one cleaning tables, and that one waitress was standing around, not tending to any other tables with people. After 10 minutes, she finally came to our table. Still not one of the dirty tables cleared! I asked her if they were short staffed, and she was very short, and said no! How about apologizing for your disgusting restaurant and not coming to our table for 10 minutes! We walked out. My wife said that the bathroom was also disgustingly dirty. We’ve been there once before, and the service was terrible then too. Never again.

Ordered take out. The pizza was burnt, not very good. The crust wasn’t too good either. Chicken tenders were good though! I won’t be getting pizza from there again.

Pizza is good and good place for a beer while watching a sports game– plenty of monitors. The location isn’t that great, it is tucked back in a hidden strip mall. I have only been there twice, but the service thus far has just been OK. Tried the burger on my first visit and it was good but not great. Good family joint when there are no sports on. Good bar when there are sports on.

4 stars because the food is always delicious. The buffalo chicken sliders, cheese pizza, & wings are my go to. House salad is large & fresh. The bar does get busy but the do have some good bartenders that make sure everyone in your party is taken care of. Also, can’t beat their game day specials!

Was in on Friday the 18th. Defiantly not impressed. While sitting at the bar there was children running all over the restaurant with no regard for anybody. I get it this place is clearly geared towards kids with the game rom and all. But come on when you are literally getting run over attempting to walk to the bathroom and have to listen to screaming. Kinda ridiculous. The servers were annoyed by this as well as they couldn’t even walk to the booths behind us without screaming yelling children running them over. Parents/managers anybody want to step in. When we were finally able to order our appetizer. Seems completely chaotic behind the bar and that the bartenders don’t really have any sort of system. It was nearly impossible to get any of their attention or speak to the same person twice. Who doesn’t love having their food dropped in their face without app plates or utensils. $ 9.00 for 4 mushrooms… defiantly wasn’t worth it. Have been to Incontro in Franklin before where they serve the same style stuffed mushroom appetizer. However there’s is lobster and you get a lot more value for your dollar. When a bartender came back to see if we were ready to order our dinner we just asked for our check. Didn’t really feel like listening to screaming children or flagging people down for a napkin and waiting 10 minutes for a beverage refill. Overall this place just seemed very disorganized. Not really the type of atmosphere you want if your looking for a relaxing enjoyable dinner and drinks.

I go to rock n’ coal a lot on Sundays to watch football. They have NFL Sunday ticket so it’s great for watching all the different football games. They also usually have a lot of specials on Sunday. I’ve tried the burgers which are very big, juicy, and flavorful. My favorite is the Mac and cheese burger. The pizza is also very good. Cooked great in their coal fired ovens and lots of delicious toppings and types to choose from. One time I was there they were doing half price apps so I tried the fried pickles and they were delicious. They have plenty of drink options and usually a beer or two is on special as well. The bar is huge and has plenty of room to spend a Sunday afternoon eating, drinking, and watching football. Service has never been an issue, and I’ve never really had any complaints overall.

The waitress came over with some kind of act that got old fast. She opened with she was tired and don’t mess or bother her. Then it became clear she wasn’t kidding. She couldn’t be bothered with coming over to the table and kept as far from us as possible or just out of site. Getting one refill for my drink during our hour visit was ridiculous. I had to go to the bar. She brought our food and we had to ask for plates and silverware. She brought enough plates but shorted us silverware because she took it off the empty table behind her and never came back except for the check. Never cleaned a dish off or anything. I was looking for a hidden camera at this point thinking I was being joked it was that ridiculous. She took forever with our cards and ended up charging me for two separate checks and my friend was charged three times. We found it two days later. The manager took care of that part and was very polite. The food was really good as well. They could really be something much more if they just took care of their service issues. Probably won’t try it again and go back but the pizza was amazing so I can never say never.

Good time. First time. Not our last time. Ran into our neighbors at the table before us. They recommended the mac ‘n’ cheese, and so, we ordered it with bacon, mushrooms and garlic. Incredible! Get that. The pizza crust, although very thin, was tasty, as was the sauce, cheese and meatballs. Waitress was attentive, and refilled our drinks without having to be asked. Only thing, you have to find a booth or table by yourself. Another couple started to sit at our table because we were talking with our neighbors. Staff seating you will eliminate this problem.

Well, desperate for some pizza, we gave this place one more shot. My wife was jones-ing for a meatball sub, I warned her it probably would be bad, but we ordered a pizza as well. I got the bistro burger, and to my surprise, it was cooked right and was delicious. That is where the happiness ended. This sports bar actually did not have any steak tips at 4pm on a Saturday. My daughter had to settle for the server’s suggestion of chicken. The chicken was dried out and a strange sweet sauce was on it. It went uneaten by all at the table. The simple cheese pizza came out better than the first time we went there, but burnt and soggy was still the theme. Now to the abomination that was the meatball sub. The meatballs were clearly frozen and for eight dollars we expected more than a four inch sub. Regardless, it was awful. The server was very nice and attentive, so there was at least that, but overall it was yet another disappointing experience at a local pizza place.(Sigh) The search continues.

OK so, I see three stars, so maybe you had a bad bartender or you didn’t like the service, say it wasn’t fast enough i’ll even give you the mixed drinks shouldn’t be a crazy 10 $ in Bellingham OK. All that being said five stars five stars five stars the pizza is arguably the best I’ve ever eaten! Pizzeria Regina can’t touch it, Santarpio’s can’t touch it and if you didn’t know at least one of the two said pizzerias I just mentioned you don’t know what pizza is so disregard this whole critique because you don’t have a clue!

Inconsistency. Tried pizza take out three times. The first time I got two pies, one was burnt and the other was on the brink of being burnt. But the pizza was pretty good. Second time, got one pie and it was burnt. Third time. When placing my order, I requested the pizza not be overcooked and explained to the guy on the phone about my previous experiences. He told me the oven is very hot and the edges get crispy. I told him I understood that but my pizzas were not just crispy on the edges but charred throughout. He told me that’s the style… The last two pizzas I ordered were obliterated. It’s too bad because the pizza could be really good if the cook could show some time management. I’m done!

Lousy Service is going to kill this place. Too bad because the food is pretty good. I have been there several times. All different days and times. And have never had good service. Twice I had to ask for a server because no one came. Once I sat down and watched two other families come in after me get served before me. Hopefully they get better servers or start training them to be a little more attentive with a bit more sense of hustle and urgency.

Went on a weekday afternoon when it was dead. Ordered two apps and fries to share with someone else. The food tasted alright but didn’t come out too hot and was nothing special. The portions and quality had gone down since the place first opened. The service was by far the worst part. Our waitress was more interested in talking to several male staff members(in full view of our table) than being attentive and doing her job. My mom’s fork was completely bent so she asked for another one but the waitress never brought it. She also never stopped by to ask how the food was or to offer drink refills, which we both desperately needed. We also needed condiments, etc. but I just kept grabbing them off empty tables because the waitress was impossible to get ahold of. When she dropped off the bill my mom explained that she had to get her own fork. The waitress gave a half-hearted apology(«Oh…sorry ’bout that…»), then took another 10 minutes to run the credit card. Each time in between she would go straight back to chat with the guys. Socializing was clearly her priority over happy customers(and good tips). There was some kind of function going on in the other room and children were literally sprinting around the restaurant, from the front entrance, to the restroom, to around the bar. It was really distracting(not to mention dangerous). I was just waiting for them to run into someone carrying a large tray of drinks or hot food. It was obviously their parents’ faults for not keeping an eye on them but also management’s responsibility to put an end to it. Unfortunately it seems the manager was ALSO too busy chatting with our waitress. Thus, the running around went on literally the entire time – I felt like I was in a Chuck E. Cheese. The few other patrons there were clearly annoyed with the kids as well, and the food and service weren’t nearly good enough to make up for the chaotic environment. We left at the same time as another family who just kept saying, «Never again» as they walked out. I doubt I’ll be back either.

We went there the other night and sat at the bar. It took ten minutes before anyone would notice us to take our drink order and give menus. We ordered steak and cheese egg rolls which were delicious. The waitress was attentive, however my boyfriend ordered steak tips medium-well with no mushrooms(allergy), after waiting 40 minutes for food he got rare steak with mushrooms. Not wanting to wait for another 40 minutes he was able to push it aside and ate his meal. We paid, but had to remind the waitress of our pizza to go. We will not be in a rush to head back due to the inattentive behavior by staff. Also seat yourself is ridiculous.

First time here. I was pleasantly surprised that the inside of the restaurant did not match the cheesey strip mall store fronts in the plaza. Large, spacious bar… nice layout. Tables are scattered around the bar with plenty of elbow room. Clean space, higher ceiling and not overly noisy. An acoustic guitarist performed a varied repertoire of well known songs. Not great, but pleasant enough. Maybe he sang a bit too loudly but he was still enjoyable to watch. Food: very little GF offerings. I had the plain wings with«blue cheese» dip. The wings are cooked in oil shared with other non GF items so cc is a risk with them. The wings were crispy, oily tasting but not horrible. The blue cheese dressing on the side was HORRID with bubbles in it. Tasted like… vinegar paste. I did have a lovely Margarita for $ 6 which was a bit tart however it was made with FRESH lime juice. Totally worth the price. I would go back for the drinks any night. I have heard that the ribs are very good and GF, prepared without sauce. I’d like to try the ribs next time. Our waitress was attentive and personable, speedy and just very nice. I won’t go out of my way to return but I can say it’s a decent sports bar. Go there to sit at the bar, chew wings and hang out with friends.

Went on a Saturday Night and enjoyed our meal. The Buffalo Wings were just ok — not as crunchy as I like — But the Korean Egg Rolls were a surprise — very good crisp and flavor — will definitely have those again. Ordered the Hawaiian pie and it was good but nothing spectacular. Will be back although having to elbow for your own table is not something I look forward to. A hostess or shared duties by the staff would be preferred.

So the place is fun to go to witha group of people. its a sports bar. so dont go thinking its not. First time i had the pizza it was ok. soggy in the middle but the crispy edges were yummy. Steak and cheese egg rolls are ok. but they have no creativity when it comes to plate presentation. just 2 cut at an angle thrown on a plate. 2nd time i had the chicken broccoli pizza. yUM! I do like that slightly fire burnt taste:-) I will go back. fun atmosphere!

«Great Pizza» I have to say I have only gone to this place when it slow so I didn’t experience the same service issues that some Unilocal reviewers have experienced. I have always ordered a Neapolitan style pizza and they have always been great, also the coal fired wings are are really quite something. They are always running beer specials and theirs always a tv to watch. Not a bad seat in the house. Instead of wasting your time going to Buffalo Bullshit Wings, try this place for a game. The food is much better and so are the coal fired wings. 1 Pizza, 1 app(coal wings), and 4 draft beers, tax and tip about 40 bucks. Not bad for the quality. Thanks
