Tart Beauty did hair and make-​up for my October wedding in Bellingham and they did an amazing job! The did myself, several of my bridesmaids and the mothers of the bride and groom. Lean and Anna were the ones who worked with us.
Each woman was able to tell them what they wanted the day of the event, and Leah and Anna made it happen seamlessly. They were great at listening to what we wanted and creating the look we had envisioned. They were also great at creating improvised looks for the women who would give vague instructions (like me!) who would say things like, ‘I don’t know exactly what I want… maybe a romantic, pretty up-​do?” The looks were perfect! Also, there were only a handful of girls who wanted slightly adjustments to coloring of make-​up, or tweaks to hair styles, and both Leah and Anna were happy to make them. They were absolutely insistent that we LOVE the way we looked, and would ask questions all the way through to make sure we were all completely happy.
What I liked the best about Tart’s approach to make-​up was that you still looked like yourself when they were done. No fake looking air-​brushed looks, or heavily made-​up looks. Even the women in our group who never wear make-​up were very happy with their looks.
The hair and make-​up lasted all day. It was even a misty/​rainy, VERY windy day and we had no issues!
They were also great because they were willing to come out to work off-​site. We got ready at our wedding venue — which was out in the county — and they brought their beauty salon to us for no extra charge!
I would use Tart again in a heart beat, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Tart rocks! Anna, Leah and Molly rock! They always do a wonderful job for our customers! I can always know that hair and makeup is always going to be done on time which is so important with weddings. They always make girls look amazing and beautiful and hairstyles last till the very end of the night. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a hair and makeup artist for the day of their wedding.

Leah and Anna at Tart Beauty did an incredible job at my wedding. We had 8 ladies (Bride, MOB, MOG, and 5 bridesmaids). I was very adamant that we all look natural and not like we stepped out of a MAC store with face paint. I loved how light the makeup was. I knew I had a lot on but it didn’t feel heavy at all. Tart really made all of us more beautiful than we already are but in a natural way. As for hair, we all had a different look which was great. I was very specific and brought photos from Pinterest of what I wanted to the trial and both the trial and the day of were a perfect match. Only downfall was I didn’t have enough bobby pins or hairspray as one part kept falling down and my girls had to keep re-​pinning me. Could have been the wind or the weight of the veil too that caused it to come loose. Overall I highly recommend the ladies at Tart for all your special occasions.

I love Tart beauty! Anna does truly amazing hair– she listened to what I had in mind and then styled my hair to look chic, polished, & touchable at the same time! Leah does amazing work with make-​up. She uses amazing products that last all day & artfully applies it so it looks very natural, but better. Both of these ladies know exactly what will compliment your look and will deliver modern & beautiful results.

I had wrote this before but somehow doesn’t show up on there page anymore. Hmm, must read before you try these people!
I had called Tart beauty to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and 5 of my bridesmaids. To set up an appointment, I had to print out a form, fill it out and mail it with a non refundable deposit of 100 dollars. Seemed weird to me, but my photographers referred me to them. I got a call back a few days later to make an appointment for a test run. I went to their salon all excited to get hair and makeup done as if it was my wedding day. Well, it was absolutely awful. The make up looked like a 10 year old did it for the first time! Anna was doing my makeup and she actually put on the mascara with my eyes closed forcing it on going downward on the back of my lashes. Who does that as a LICENSED make up artist? And the hair was too much! It was so bad it was like they did that bad of a job on purpose. And as soon as they were done they just rushed me out of there even though they knew I wasn’t happy. How can a licensed make up artist and hair stylist be so bad that when my fiancé saw me afterward he was shocked to see me and asked didn’t you get your make up professional done today?! He said I do my make up so much better than that and he was expecting it to look all professional. It was far from it! He was shocked at how awful it was. Can you imagine if I didn’t do the test run? But looking at photos that my photographer took when tart beauty did hair and makeup it looked great. Needless to say, I felt scammed. As if they didn’t want to do so many girls hair and makeup on one day but they wanted to make some money off of me. I highly recommend not going here and wasting your time or money with these scam artists.
