Pies! This place is known for their pies. Hanging on to their original feel and atmosphere of the house, Sharis is the place to go for a great pie, breakfast etc! Everything is good. Our kids love the place and love that there’s hardly a wait when we come in to dine! Our service is consistent and always friendly. Kudos to the GM!

I was here on the evening of Sunday February 28th. I arrived around 8 pm. I was hungering for prime rib but couldn’t find a restaurant nearby serving it. I remembered Shari’s was nearby and they at least served steaks. I ended up ordering the T-bone dinner. The sides were good. The size of the steak was OK. But the flavor… FLAVORLESS. The meat looked and tasted like it was boiled or braised then thrown on a grill just to add the charred grill marks. How did this recipe pass quality control? Who at corporate let this fly? C’mon Shari’s your prime rib is great I expect the same for your steaks. That was so sad and shameful. Please put effort in the flavor and preparation of your steaks too. Throw the steak on a hot griddle with a little olive oil and sear it on both sides. Or marinate the steak and really truly GRILLIT. All I want is no hassle simple great tasting inexpensive steak at Shari’s.

Their«fresh fruit» is not exactly fresh. Great friendly staff whom I don’t mind tipping nicely. It’s a decent place to start your morning. It’s usually not as crowded as the IHOP nearby.

With a heavy heart I post this review. It will be short and bittersweet. Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE the prime rib breakfast here. Well today we arrive… sigh, I’ll just get to it. Prime rib Hair Last prime rib meal No replacement Sigh…

I went to shari’s just the other day and ordered a prime rib sandwich, I bit into a piece of glass, that ended up cutting up my mouth pretty bad and damaged my tooth. while I was at the restaurant I didn’t want to cause a scene so I politely told the waitress and got a refund on my meal, later that night I called back to talk to the manager because I felt like 9 dollars back for a cut up mouth and damaged tooth just didn’t make sense. No one has called me back, and I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know not to eat at Shari’s.

I got an awesome burger with a side of fruit(s). I got a pile of grapes. Maybe I should be grateful or maybe they should tell me I’m just ordering grapes.

We are avid shari’s goers, and this shari’s is probably the worst we have been to. The food is great however service is not. It takes a long time to get seated even on nights where there aren’t many people in. The new manager is a little on the rough side and his customer service could use some work. And the past few times, we have sat waiting for quite a while even to just order our drinks, let alone our food. Silverdale location is the best.

No complaints here. It is exactly what I expect from this type of restaurant. Food is good, not from scratch, but good. It has been sometime since I had been to Shari’s — having been outside the PNW. They have really updated menu, added nutritional info, lots of options to personalize your order. Disclaimer: service was great, however it was 10am on Tuesday. I can see when busy how it may be an issue.

I ordered the prime rib with eggs, hash browns and toast for $ 10. Yup that is a breakfast item. The prime rib was very tender and yes I was surprised. I came here because first off(obviously) I was hungry and secondly a friend of mine said this place is famous for their pie. I didn’t order the pie but will definitely come back for it. I also ordered a hot chocolate. The only problem with the hot chocolate is that I find it too sweet. Not my favorite. But it does look nice with whipcream and sprinkles. The staff was very friendly. I will come back again for its prime rib breakfast. Such a good deal. I love the hash brown. Just made perfect.

Breakfast is a better time to visit this Shari’s. Sit in Courtney or Colin’s section, service will be great !!!

Growing up, Shari’s was considered a second-rate Denny’s. I recently ate here at the request of the person I was with that afternoon. I was really pleasantly surprised at how much improved the menu is now. The food was fresh and tasty, the menu is much better than the usual«chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes» places like this usually offer. And the PIE! Wow, the pie is great. I mean it’s pie. Everybody loves pie. Since then, Shari’s has become my default hideaway, the place I go when I just need a little comfort food and a friendly environment.

I don’t expect much from chain-restaurants, and the closer they are to the mall, the crappier they are(in my opinion). So I was pretty surprised by my Shari’s breakfast experience. The portions were huge, the host was really friendly and the server – while extremely busy – was friendly and good at her job. I especially liked that they give you a whole carafe of coffee when you order coffee. I don’t have anything bad to say about this Shari’s but I still prefer any locally owned restaurant to these national chains.

Pretty good experience. The soups were flavorful, salads were fresh, and meals were decent, but not out-of-this-world. Our waitress was really good. The salmon filet was tasty, but probably average for the area. I give it 4 stars because our family of 7 was satisfied and enjoyed the pies as well.

We went to sharis in Bellingham wa for the Friday night prime rib but they were sold out by 6 pm, we were not told they were out until after the person who seated us said that they still had it, we were handed the special menus informing us of said deal and waiting to order. The special claims to be from 4 to 10 pm so I can only imagine this is some bait and switch tactic or extremely poor planing. Very upset after we made special plans to go for said deal. I don’t know if I will return to your restaurant in the foreseeable future. Not.the first problem I have had at this location.

It’s been awhile since I actually ate here, but good thing they’re open 24 hours, good access to washrooms if you’re in a jam lol. free wifi. Layout’s a bit weird, kinda like a boomerang, as there’s counter seating. Reminds me of an older-fashioned Denny’s; recalled their lemon meringue pie was more than decent. booth seating available. Easy access once you get off the I-5.

My husband me and my friend came here a second time to grab a desert. First time experience was great. The pie was delicious. I wanted to try something different this time so I got a pie berry shake. My husband got a berry icescream trio as well as my friend. The shake was fine. I didn’t mind it. But my husband wasn’t satisfied. Last time they brought the dish in a bigger plate and the pie was warm and delicious next to the icescream. This time they brought it in a smaller plate and the pie was cold. That’s not all. The silverware wasn’t even clean. The glass cup wasn’t even washed! When we went to go pay for our meals. I looked around and the kitchen was filthy. Also the cooks were eating while making the food. I definatly don’t recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. Bad experience and on top of ot all. We all left with huge stomach aches.

Being Nexus cardholders from Vancouver, we’re in Bellingham on a semi-regular basis. Shari’s is our go-to restaurant if we want quick, inexpensive, and delicious food. We stumbled upon it about a year and a half ago when looking for a quick breakfast. Both of us were impressed! We always eat there mid-morning, and we’ve never waited more than 5 minutes to be seated. The staff are always friendly, and I’m absolutely astonished as to how the meals come so quickly! They are open 24 hours, and their entire menu is available any time of day — which is great when I feel like a burger for breakfast or pancakes for dinner :) Prices are reasonable by Vancouver standards — around $ 25 breakfast for two, including mimosa’s! Plus, easy access to the highway(north or south bound I-5). A good, solid meal. No frills, but the prices reflect that. I’ll keep going back whenever I’m in Bellingham!

It’s a fairly inexpensive 24-hour diner… what do you expect? If you go in here with the correct expectations, you wont be terribly disappointed. They have decent menu items at reasonable prices — they serve breakfast all day which is what I was aiming for with this particular visit. They have a ton of different pies as well. We happened to go on a Saturday morning at around 11am… the place was absolutely packed! All things considered, the service wasn’t terrible. We were seated promptly. The waitress wasn’t particularly friendly… nothing above and beyond. She was also slow on drink refills(she came to the table a few times while my drink was empty, but didn’t take it upon herself to refill it until I asked.) The food wasn’t terrible. I got the breakfast sampler… my only complaints were the bacon and sausage. The bacon was soft and limp, and the sausage was over-cooked and hard on one side of it. Pancakes were truly awesome though which made up for it. Overall, it’s not a bad place… it’s better than Denny’s for sure, but don’t come here expecting a 4 or 5 star restaurant. For what it is, it’s pretty darn good.
