Another classic example of the captive customer syndrome. Since Sorella’s is the only eatery in the Fairhaven ferry terminal, they can get away with lousy service for overpriced and mediocre food. I researched Sorella’s menu online, and it looked pretty good. When I got there I found out that the menu was hopelessly outdated. Sorella’s is only open 3 days a week. You would think in the four days they have off they could update the website so that you know you won’t be able to order what you went there for in the first place. Furthermore, what you do see on the menu is NOT what you get. I ordered a turkey sandwich, which supposedly came with dill havarti and basil. No basil, no dill havarti, just a plain turkey sandwich I could’ve made at home. What’s worse is that every thing I ordered off of the sandwich I purchased was present on the sandwich I received. Thanks for listening to my order. Since you can see the table where they assemble your food, you can watch as the employees slowly decided whether or not to make your order at all. Sorella’s will advertise their waterfront location, but cafeteria style chairs next to a window in a ferry terminal isn’t very charming. If I want some casual dining in Fairhaven, you’ll see me at Avenue Bread.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Bellingham, WA
Located inside the Bellingham Ferry Terminal(near the Bellingham/Fairhaven Train Station), Sorellas is one of Bellingham’s best kept secrets. In addition to one of Bellingham’s best bay views, Sorellas features a wonderful array of crepes, sandwiches, burgers, and one of the best chowders the Northwest has to offer. Unless you’re going to be in Fairhaven anyway, be sure to call first. The restaurant’s hours help keep Sorellas one of our best kept secrets(the hours are a mystery to all). The website(this week) indicates the restaurant is open Fridays from 7am to 6pm and Saturday/Sunday from 8am to 4pm. You may find the hours somewhat restrictive(and even a little frustrating), but the food is worth it and even if they’re closed, the view is worth the drive! :)
