Well, as to T-Mobile itself, the service is tremendous. I think they have some great plans and have way better coverage than when I was with Verizon. But this store has a staff that is in dire need of training. I went in prepared to get t-mobile. I asked three questions one of which was«is your data unlimited»? The guy said of course, yada yada. So I was told I had to buy a new phone. I couldn’t check out the I-phone 6 because there was none on display. I was even told they didn’t have a black one left in stock but the manager corrected the person who was waiting on me. During the course of the conversation I told the person waiting on me how I planned to use the service as a hot spot. He said, do you have wi fi, and I said yes, referring to the phone. We rang up the sale and I was leaving… all was signed, and now, only now, it comes out that I do not have unlimited data for the HOTSPOT. That is an entirely seperate thing. Obviously I didn’t know that. The guy says but you said you had wi fi. Hey, I am not the expert here. He then proceeds to tell me that I am limited to 5 G for hotspot and even says there is no other option than 5 G. When we first rang up the sale he asked for permission to check my credit. I asked him if this would hurt my credit score — ie be a hard credit check. He told me in no uncertain terms it would not be. When I returned home the t-mobile site showed me there were other options for the hotspot — 7 g or 9 g for very little more. At home — actually feeling the size of the i phone 6, I realized I hated the iphone 6, it was just too big for my hand. I was going to just live with the plan and phone — but the next day my credit karma alerted me to the fact that I had a «hard» credit check and now my score had gone down. Thank you!!! That is a credt score decrease that will live with me for two years. I never would have authorized it had I known. The next day I went to the T-Mobile store in Framingham. They were so much better. They knew what they were taling about and switched out the Iphone 6 for the 5s. They even showed me a few tricks on the iphone 6 that maybe would have made it better for me but I decided I just needed the smaller phone. I ended up paying extra for this.(restocking fee) Some of it was my fault but the person who waited on me in bellingham felt his job was to talk — not necessarily accurately. I will be taking up the credit score charge with T-Mobile.
