PVC Pipe Dreams: I walked into the Home Depot with a pipe dream and came out with a completed project. The goal was to create a photography curtain stand using PVC pipes. Customer Service Associate Eric in the Plumbing Department helped me make the most economical choice by suggesting I use four 10ft PVC pipes cut to size instead of using multiple 2ft pipes with joiners. This saved me considerable money. Eric was professional, efficient and helpful. He measured the pipes and cut them to size for me. I was in and out of the store with my completed project within a half hour, and I was able to head to the fundraising gala that same day to use the photography curtain stand. Thanks to Eric and Home Depot, I was able to make a PVC pipe dream come true.

Home Depot has very good selections and the clerks are always helpful. The problem is, I have my DD 214 from the Navy and Home Depot only gives a 10% discount on holidays. Because of this policy, I go to Lowe’s first because they always give a 10% discount for military service.

We went in for tile, and this location was out of stock. We thought we were getting great customer service to get what we needed from another store in a timely fashion. After paying for 400 square feet of tile at this location, we received a claim check and were told to drive to Burlington to pick it up. We didn’t mind because it was worth it to get the flooring. Unfortunately we got to Burlington and the Bellingham store had made a mistake and ordered the wrong tile, when the tile we wanted wasn’t in stock in Burlington either. Our drive was for nothing.
Home Depot does redeem itself a bit because they have better flooring prices than places like Great Floors.

One of the smaller ones, though still being large, just one entrance instead of two, and no Subway or Harvey’s at the front ;)
Came to look for a particular rat poison, thought the states would have the more powerful stuff that works as a perimeter around the home.
Still good service.
Free delivery online for bbq’s if you spend over $ 500, the Americans thinking ahead already ;)
But the nursery here is just enormous.

Every time I go into Home Depot I end up regretting it. Staff is unhelpful at best. I have also found the selection is lacking and is usually more expensive than Lowes.

So disappointed. Home Depot is supposed to be known for providing excellent customer service. We were misinformed about the carpet installation process and it caused a huge problem with our rental. The Manager did nothing to rectify the situation except educate his employee. This doesn’t help us or our tenants. How about a 10% discount on the carpet? Something? We took our business elsewhere.

I ordered something online, had it sent to the store for free. Went to the pick up desk, waited five minutes while the one clerk seemed to be helping someone on the phone understand how to use the internet. Walked around for a bit, then got back in the line, finally talked to the one person working at that desk, she went to get my order but stopped to complain about something to another employee. Never buying anything online this way again. I hate it when someone sitting at home gets to ‘cut’ in line and get help before a customer who physically takes time out of their day to drive down to the store.

If you want it, they’ve probably got it. If it wasn’t for Home Depot I can safely say we would not have been able to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms as easily. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and their selection is decent. If you don’t see something you like, usually they can special order it for you. On the weekends they have classes, which are especially helpful when tackling a project you’ve never done before. And don’t forget you can rent their pickup truck for just $ 20 if you need it to take stuff home in — quite a deal and a lot cheaper than buying your own F-​150!

I bought a deck box and an electric trimmer. I get home and pretty excited to get the deck box assembled and get the kids toys off the back patio. I open the box and wow, why is there shipping wrap inside the box? Maybe to prevent the panels from shifting? No, this was a return from somebody else. I lay out the panels and get the instructions and find dog hair all over the panels and the rear panel missing. wtf? No sense in calling to say this is a p.o.s cause all they’ll say is bring it back. Now i get to the trimmer, another wow moment. I take the trimmer out of the box and lay out the pieces and instructions. There’s only one reason a trimmer has grass on it, another used item put back in the box. This doesnt mean it wont work, but I can’t use it because the screws are missing to hold the guard on. This just blows me away I buy two «new in box items» and get useless crap. This biggest thing that burns me is i dont live close to just exchange these items. If something is returned it should be marked some way letting you know what you might get. I will open future purchases before I leave their lot next time. This is been a huge let down of an experience.

Everyone was super helpful, in fact, we were asked by three different people if we needed help with anything! LOVE not being ignored when I walk around clueless as to where to find something…

Super helpful staff and every tool you’ll ever need. My gf bought a lavender plant here that smelled like nothing. Watch out for the unscented shrubs.
