Yikes. I tried almost all the meat and couldn’t take a second bite of anything. Wait staff was very awkward, place seemed dirty, and none of the food was labeled! My husband and I mostly ate those Chinese donuts. And I’d give Panda Express a 3 star… so if that tells you anything.

I’d give zero stars if I could. I ordered beef and broccoli well done and it came to me not cooked all the way and smells like it’s been sitting in a car for a week. absolutely a waste of 50 $. did I mention the meat is grey?

Pretty good Chinese food considering the area. Once I ordered through their delivery and they ended up forgetting an order of egg rolls. so I called and the manager was so nice and when he checked to verify, re-imbursed me right away!

Horrible food. Service was good, but I could not identify many of the meats. The«chicken» didn’t look like any chicken I have ever seen. It didn’t taste like chicken either. I will never go there again. Not worth the high price either.

Aaaaamazing service. Strongly recommend this for the whole family. The people are very very friendly, on top of everything from your drinks to the plate pick up. Their ability to anticipate your next request is awesome. The food… their food is great!!! It’s hot, fresh, and there is a really nice variety; sushi, fresh grilled meats, and the typical Chinese American foods found at every buffet. Everyone left full and happy. $ 50 for a family of four, on a Sunday, for dinner. Not cheap, however well worth the variety, taste and especially the service. BONUS THEYDELIVER! !

It took 35 min for my to go order of general tsos chicken and egg drop soup. To get fried rice with my meal was extra too. So 15 dollars later I’m at home with watery egg drop soup, fried rice that has more onion and only half fried, and under cooked in the center and over cooked on the ends of all but one piece of my chicken! I would really go somewhere else than here to get your Chinese Food!

I usually either go big like PF Changs or do quick and cheap like Panda Express. I decided to try something new. I didn’t expect perfection but for their prices I expected better. Also, one hour waiting for delivery will make you expect even more. The orange chicken was not good. The sauce was too sticky and thick. The Kung Pao chicken was labeled«spicy» … Not spicy at all and way too many vegetables. Why did I pay 9 stinking dollars for a few chicken bites and a load of veggies? Oh, that’s not it. The food made me sick. I threw up and was up all night feeling sick. Conclusion? If you want cheap Chinese just go to Panda Express in Temple. It’s worth the few extra minutes of driving and saving money. Or wait to go somewhere nicer where you won’t get sick. Maybe I’m just one of the random people who have a bad experience. It happens. But I will not be trying them again.

Five words. Shrimp Lo Mein Crab Rangoons If you want Chinese heaven, this it it. We order take out whenever we come up to visit the in-laws, and my stomach always pants with anticipation. The Shrimp Lo Mein comes tightly packed with delicious rice with flecks of vegetables scattered among the grains and mouth-licking noodles overflowing with flavor clothing the shrimp and the assortment of greens that bathe in the sauces. Squirt some soy and duck sauce over the combo, and taste buds are alive and kicking long after the meal is over. And don’t even get me started on the crab rangoons. I love sinking my teeth in their sweet, garlicky pillows of crab cooked to perfection. I could eat 100 of those in one sitting. And if I die from a food coma(or obesity), it would have been worth it.

My family and I use to enjoy going to China Café, but the service and food are no longer worth the money spent. We recently went to China Café at 9:00pm(sign shows they close at 10:30pm) we went to the buffet and found most of the food gone. Thinking that they would bring fresh food out we got very little on our plates. Within a few minutes of sitting back down at our table we notice four of the staff members going to fill there plates with food(including the manager). When I saw this I asked the manager if they were going to bring more food out and she tells me they stop serving food to the buffet at 9:00pm. I can not believe that they thought it to be ok to not tell us that they will not be serving anymore fresh food when the buffet was already bare. Not to mention the food that was on the buffet was all cold and chewy. Then they have the nerve to go help themselves to what was left on the buffet in front of customers. I just feel like that was beyond unprofessional. I can say without a doubt I will NEVER go back to China Café or recommend it to any one.

Really well kept restaurant with charming decorations for a small town in Texas. The buffet was lacking in depth, but the food was consistent. Nice simple, small sushi bar with a dozen options at least, including sashimi(light soy, ginger, and wasabi with sashimi — doesn’t get much better). Fried pork was on point, in all its oily goodness. Would go back again — give it a shot; a good option in town.

Our waiter Jose was super adorable and the sushi was surprisingly tasty. Prices were decent and food was good. Fried duck had fat juices doing down my chin.

While not fancy, a great variety of traditional Chinese favorites. Clean, good tasting hot food, and some of the most attentive staff I’ve encountered in a buffet experience.

This place might appear to be a hole in the wall from the outside, but the food is great and the service has always been impeccable. The sushi is the best in town and the sushi chef loves to experiment on new twists.

Helena must work for Jakes which closed down due to a lack of customers because their food was terrible. China Café is the cleanest restaurant in Temple/Belton. The staff is friendly and helpful and the owner is very nice person who cares about the customers. …and the food is fantastic!

Nice folks running this family business. Good sushi. Really good coconut shrimp. Salad and desserts lacking for sure but they do have soft serve ice cream. Our whole family always enjoys. One of the better options in Belton and a regular hangout for us.

We come here a lot at lunchtime for the buffet. Don’t expect fine dining, but it’s definitely clean, with good service, and a unique sushi bar/grill station– overall, food is good. For the price, you won’t do any better around here.

The food is alright. Not bad but not the best either. I got sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. I asked for the chicken to be extra spicy and they made the rice spicy instead. The rice is too oily. And the price for the entire meal was almost $ 12. $ 12!!! Wayyyyy too expensive for a normal Americanized Chinese take out meal. I won’t be going back.

Let’s start with the décor. Obnoxious, giant pictures of the married couple(owners?) are not the visual cues I want while eating. Although, this all could be turned around if the groom had posed in gold hot pants a la Rocky of the Rocky Horror Picture Show– this would have been strangely acceptable. Ironically, I’m comfortable with the creepy clowns in Salgados. Maybe because they’re not framed. Or maybe because they’re not trying to show off for everyone. I went with a friend. We were sat, drinks ordered and off we went to fill our plates. We return, almost simultaneously to our booth and begin to eat separate dishes and immediately spit out our food. Why? It’s cold. Two different items from the buffet, and they’re cold. How cold? Ice cold. Hot food should be held at a minimum temperature of 140 degrees fahrenheit, and really shouldn’t be held for longer than 4 hours. About this time the waitress arrived with our drinks and we informed her we were leaving, that the food was cold and unacceptable and they freaked out like we were trying to do a dine and dash. I’m sorry, if I my intentions were to eat your food and not pay for it, I would eat the food first. We did leave and we did not pay. We didn’t even eat. Hell, we didn’t even get a sip of our drinks. TL;DR Clearly no one attended a food safety class– dine at your own risk.
