PepperJax Grill

I love this place! It was clean of course, the food was great and the service as amazing! I was LOOOKING crazy this day! I called a order in and they had it ready for me soon as I walked it. The cashier called me to the front ASAP, let me check out and I ran off into the sunset Lololol! I had a chicken philly!

If you want a cheap, fast philly that is about as good as one can get in Kansas City (not great), PepperJax grill is the place to go. If one wants an authentic philly cheesesteak with great flavor from just the sandwich itself… well, there are better options.
The fast food elements are all there, which is to say the quality of the meal is below that of actual restaurants.
The price to quantity is great, but the seats are metal and uncomfortable, not really a laid back place to sit and eat. Staff is about the same as most fast food eateries, nice enough for the wage and the occasional extra care, but nothing equivalent to actual waiting staff.
A positive that makes PepperJax stand out is many delicious sauces. Not one bit healthy, probably not organic for those naturalists out there, but it is unusual when the sauces and sides are better then the main course itself. The queso makes for a very interesting philly as well: it is a spicier take on the classical cheesewiz found at classics back in Philadelphia. The mushroom gravy on the french fries is much akin to a poutine, especially when combined with the queso. A surprisingly delicious mixture.
In the end PepperJax is a step above McDonald’s or Burger King and much closer to that of Arby’s or Jack in the Box in that the offering is unique and of decent quality. For a joint that attempts to serve food in under 10 minutes it actually reaches the level of 54^th Street/Applebee’s restaurant clones, albeit without the trimmings.

I really liked PepperJax and it far exceeded my expectations for this type of place. The philly steak salad I got tasted like something I would order in a nicer steakhouse for twenty bucks, and it was a huge portion for a low price. This would totally take the place of one of my favorites, Chipotle, if we had it in my town! I don’t often feel a casual chain place like this deserves 5 Unilocal stars but this place had such friendly and warm service and great little extras, it definitely warrants that. My husband loved his veggie philly sandwich too. They have a nice variety of dressings and different sides, something for just about everyone.

Limited menu but cooked to order. Large portions. I had exceptional service last time I was there.

I went in to get food, their were two of us and I was 30 sec to a minute behind the other person that was with me. I ordered a Philly steak sandwich and the cook told the prep person to put my cheese on to make sure it’s hold she said it can wait it’ll be hot! The prep person continued with another order that did not need the same immediate attention that the sandwich did. I wish she had some attention to detail long story short cheese did not melt on my sandwich as the meet was not hot enough by the time she got to it.

Pretty darn good! Chipotle style business model. Great staff! Yummy food. I wish they had a vegetarian protein option but c’est la vie! Solid…

Food is always good but the prices keep creeping up while the portions get smaller. Always ordered the same thing steak sandwich and fries. Started out at $ 10.10, then went to $ 10.20 and fries were smaller. Last time was $ 10.63 and still smaller fries.

Had a pleasurable lunch today at this establishment. The employees were happy, helpful. The place was clean and food was great. Nice new addition to Belton.

Losing it’s charm! We’ve been here several times and each time is a little worse. Tonight I ordered steak nachos which were prepared with a half scoop of cheese and stale chips. When asked if I could get a little more cheese the server said it would be extra. Also ordered side of beans and rice. It’s actually a bowl of rice with so few beans on top you can literally count them. Bonus is the unpleasant staff that try to talk fast enough you can’t understand them. Pretty sure this is the last time to give them my money.

It was ok, went to this place last night the place needs a lesson in customer appreciation-​satisfaction. The second star was for the food (spicy sub and burritos) these were ok Taco Bell would of been a better choice! I thought for what we ordered was a bit pricey. That all.

I have cravings for this stuff often! The food is always fresh and made exactly how you want it right in front of you. I’ve had their sandwiches, nachos and salads and have not been disappointed yet. The nachos are my favorite though. Another thing that I find amazing about this place is the fact that when you get your food it looks exactly how it does in the pictures.
Besides the awesome food… the staff has always been energetic & friendly. I also believe that Pepper Jax really listens to their customers. When they stopped putting their sandwiches in boxes for to go orders, there were a lot of complaints popping up on their facebook page. Now the to-​go boxes are back!
I can’t possibly think of a complaint about this place.

Terrible customer service. I won’t go back. Some guy was talking loudly on his phone while bussing tables. I stood there for 5 minutes after I ordered waiting for someone to ring me up. The food was ok.

Nothing special, your basic Philly Cheese Steak. The place is clean and the prices are right. Beats the heck out McD’s for lunch.

The best phillies in the area. You can choose from chicken or steak with onions, peppers, and mushrooms if you want. They offer rice bowls, nachos, burritos, and sandwiches. I recommend getting a cheese steak and ask for a fireball with some queso on it.

Great food fast. The steak burrito was outstanding and my wife loved the philly.

There isn’t a menu. I wouldn’t call a few items a menu. I was so unimpressed with my cold ass fries with queso dumped on top. I don’t plan to go back for a second visit. Why such a limited menu?

great food, great service! I’m from the east coast, so I know his steak and cheese and Pepperjax has it. a the fries are also really good. Even though it was opening day, the first time we came it was quick and really good. I like mayo on mine and I just asked fire it on the bread, they did it without arguing (like other places in Belton; now closed lol did). A little pricey, but if you want a good steak and cheese, this is the place. only strike against them is they are a Pepsi establishment… but I normally drink water so I will let that slide ha ha
