Probably the worst brewery in central oregon. I’d give no stars if i could. It’s the closest to my house so I’ve stopped on the way home a couple times and the only thing I’ve ever actually enjoyed was the gyro. The service has been terrible every time and the beer is sub par compared to the other places to go in Bend. Tonight was the last straw when the waitress was rude when I asked about taco Tuesday pricing since the last time I came they had a Margarita special for 3.25 «Uh no we changed it, it’s 6 bucks» and tacos are now 3.75 instead of 2.00 also. «You obviously haven’t been here in a while, prices are on the menu». And she WALKEDAWAY. As a server and bar manager that is not a way to talk to your customers. If you like their beer, take the drive to Redmond and go to the location on seventh street. They have an better service, we’ll worth the drive.

This was our first time coming into here. We love coming to Bend and trying new brewery’s. We love this side of town. And we love the building and atmosphere here. We got two stickers for $ 1.00 while we waited. There was also cool merchandise in the front. You can order beers and drinks while you wait. We went on a Friday night and had to wait an hour and a half. There were two or more hosts in the front and they were all friendly except one girl. She was being rude when we would check in with her, rolling her eyes and what not. But aside from her negative energy we had a great experience. Food was great, drinks were delicious. Variety of great beers. Affordable and the food is VERYFLAVORFUL! We will be back!

The food sucks. How can you get a burger cooked black twice in a row? And how can you talk, when the server asks«how is everything,» and you can’t because of the bitter burnt meat taste in your mouth, and black specs in your teeth. I’ve been to cascade Lakes three or four times. The food is always marginal at the very best. They do random things such as throwing pineapple on a salad that has no rhyme or reason to have pineapple on it. The food always leaves multiple things to be desired. A small breadth, mushy piece of meatloaf anyone? It doesn’t take too much to add a semi creative sauce to a sandwich or burger to make it something other than a blackened piece of meat with a dry bun. There is absolutely no reason to go to cascade for the food, it is terrible. The service is always friendly and there are always a couple decent beers on the menu. The food is just so bad so often, that it’s impossible to give this place more than two stars. They could easily add better taste, creativity and quality to the menu without increasing their own costs more than a fraction. I would go back, for the bingo night, which is fun for families, but it would be a beer and tater tot(served plain, like every other place that makes zero effort) kind of night. They could do so much more business with a little thought put into the menu, and food prep and quality.

Easily the worst brewery in Bend. We live nearby, so it’s an easy walk, which is why we’ve given it a few tries. Don’t make our mistake. Walk the other direction toward better options. Number 1, the beer is terrible if you are used to drinking anything else decent in the PNW. Maybe if you’ve only ever had some shitty PBR or Bud, you’ll like this crap too. So bad, you can’t even force yourself to finish it, bad. Number 2, the food is worse than the beer. We’ve tried a variety of items, always a starter or two and entrees. Everything tastes like horrible frozen Sysco crap. I’m not sure they’ve ever heard of fresh ingredients. Chips are like bland, tasteless cardboard, Nachos are covered with shitty cheese from a can. Steak medallions were over cooked, tough as leather. Even the pathetic burger had no flavor other than burnt! Medium Rare or nothing please! Number 3, the waitress we had the last time was clearly geeked out on drugs. Skinny as a rail and mouth running a mile a minute with gum hanging out. Disgusting. We’ve sat at the bar before too, and the bar tender had nothing to contribute. Even so much as to say«Our beers not, that bad. But if you want, we can pour you a Coors.» Seriously? A Coors at a local, supposedly, craft brewery?! That’s how pathetic this place is, and the staff could care less. AVOID Cascade Lakes Lodge! Goodlife Brewing isn’t far down the other direction, and is quite decent, despite having limited food options. A bit further and the new Oblivion Brewing is quickly becoming a standout. Good beer, and AMAZING food! The interior design is awesome too. Ignore 10Barrel, which used to be our favorite. The food and the beer went way down hill even before being sold out to Anheuser Busch /InBev. It’s especially horrible now. So between all that are some great all around pubs with a variety of great food and drink options that are all a THOUSAND times better than Cascade Lakes Lodge. See Cabin 22, Pacific Pizza & Brew, and Brother Jons.

I’m not rating for the lodging, just for the bar and restaurant. The steak medallion appetizer was the SHIT. Loved it so much. The beer sampler was also super cheap and solid. I just liked this place after a long hard day climbing at Smith Rock.

Took my 93 yr old M-I-L and my sister in law there for lunch and we had Great Food, attentive service, and they even brought a water bowl for our dog! Would definitely recommend. The only negative to sitting outside is the traffic noise, but still very pleasant experience overall.

We came here twice on our trip to Bend, OR and were very pleased. We ordered a beer flight and the nachos. Oh my gosh the nachos were soooo good! And the server did a great job with taking care of us. We always had everything we needed. The beer sampler came with six different beers and they were all pretty good. My favorite beer we tried was the Hopsack. Yummy! This is a great place for a good food and beer!

Sub-par American food, unsatisfying beer, but great waiter! I’m pretty sure Bend was like, «hmmm…this is a weird area, lets quickly put up a brewpub here.»

My friend and I went to Bend to do the Bend Ale Trail. There were a few breweries that we decided we would just go in and get our passport stamps since we have easy access to them in Portland. This was not one of those. We got a table out on there patio and ordered a taster tray of 6. After waiting a bit for our beers, we relieved we have heard of this brewery by the Bombshell Blonde Ale they have with a picture of a blonde Jessica Rabbit on their 6 bottle carrier. The waitress was not very knowledgeable. I simply asked her what size the tasting glasses were and she said maybe 3 or 4, I’m not quite sure. They looked big to me and I would have to say 4 or 5 depending on the amount of foam. When we got our beers, we were so disappointed. Disappointed might be a nice way of putting it. These beers were horrifying! We both like beer and we also both really hate to leave unfinished beer, but in this case, we had to. It was too hard to stomach. I can’t even say I kind of liked one. If we had known, we wouldn’t have wasted our time or money at this brewery, but I guess that’s why we were out trying beers. There has to be some out there that we don’t like and this was definitely one of them.

«Tots were cold and the beer was lame.» Decided to check out the Brewery Restaurant because it was right next to our hotel. As a fan of infamous Bend Micro Brews… the beer was terrible. The food was also so-so. Service was really good though.

Food is better than most other brew pubs. Beer is good but not outstanding. I wish they would have imperials or some barrel aged. Taco Tuesday is a great deal and their fish taco are great(better than some other places in town that claim to specialize in fish tacos). Their taster flight comes in bigger glasses than the shot type I have seen lately.

We didn’t have anything to eat, but just stopped at Cascade Lakes on the way back from Mt Bachelor for a beer and to watch a college basketball game after skiing. Good beer, good service, and there was a guy playing the guitar, nice atmosphere. Small in the bar area but cozy. I’d definitely go back and try the food.

We came here for dinner. It was a nice, easy walk from the resort we were staying at. We were a party of four. Originally, the hostess had seated us at a tipsy table in the middle of the dining room, even though there was a perfect booth tucked in the back corner. We asked nicely if we could be moved to the booth instead. The hostess said we could switch tables, but not without giving us a little attitude. The rest of our meal was great. There was a hummus plate that was a great vegan-friendly option for the vegan in our party. Someone else had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Tasty! I had the chicken almond salad which was one of the specials that night. It was so good and huge! One of the best salads I’ve had in a long time. I was super happy with my dinner choice. We left with a growler and dessert.

The beer selection is pretty good & the rest of the drink menu was creative. Food choices are alright, better during the summer. However, the fries were everyone’s favorite at the table. Desserts were a decent price which was nice.

We were disappointed in our choice of the Lodge! The atmosphere is good. We sat in the bar as it was Sunday and children eat free. The bartendar was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the beer and hard cider! The food was just average. The Ceasar salad we shared was good, but the chicken pot pie and vegetarian pasta dish was just ok. The carrot cake was the frozen variety. Too bad — as the atmosphere is good but food needs a new chef!
