Our first time to Bend and from the moment we arrived LOVEDIT. We had a large party and was told it would be 45 minute wait; hostess put my phone number into an ipad. I got a text welcoming me, and less than 30 minutes later got a text that my table was ready — they were slammed and yet all servers were composed and attentive. The outside area is spacious(and dog friendly, like most of Bend) and getting to the bar easy. We enjoyed the overall layout and atmosphere and sat outside — before we left, the fire pit was lit and was most enjoyable. Everyone in our party ordered something different to eat and we all agreed the food was terrific. I tried the shrimp/watermelon skewers with coconut rice YUM! HIGHLYRECOMMEND! p. s. Was told the beer was exceptional(I drank the Pinot Noir from Oregon).

Came here on a very busy Saturday night, was able to walk around the street to get a drink while we waited for our table outside. The staff were very nice and accommodating and gave us a call when they thought our table was about ready and to head down. The seating outside is great, there’s a large fire pit in the middle with large wooden tables and benches surrounding. It’s a very lively and fun atmosphere. We ordered some of their delicious beers and samplers and their amazing food. Everything from the pizzas, to the burgers and nachos were delicious. Our favorites were the steak and Gorgonzola cheese nachos. We got them on kettle cooked Cajun potato chips, they definitely had a kick. They were topped with a creamy white sauce with blue cheese, steak pieces, bacon, jalapenos, and green onions, they were rich but delicious! My favorite dish I think though were the fried Brussels sprouts, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside with bacon and a lemony aioli to go with, they were great. Everyone really enjoyed their food and beers, can’t wait to come back to this place!

Went for a late lunch after visiting Crater Lake. Seated immediately but our server had some trouble finding us for some reason so had to track someone down after about 10 minutes. After that service was adequate. Kids pizzas looked good, served on a frisbee. Had the Thai pizza. The flavors on this thing were just off in my opinion. Beers were just okay.

Fantastic food, beer, and atmosphere! Tried this place on chance, and was really impressed. Had a great lunch in the sun on the open patio and loved the Apocalypse IPA.

Came for a late lunch with 5 people and a baby. Love how family and dog friendly this place is. Hostess originally quoted us a 30 – 40 min wait but we were seated within 15 minutes. Our waitress was simply wonderful. She was actually training a new waitress who was just as friendly. Food was pretty good. I got to try the mac and cheese, burger and fries, and pizza. We did a flight which included 10 beers and highly recommend the Apocalypse if you are an IPA lover. Only two negative things about this place. First, the parking lot is small and we had to park down the street. Second, they ran out of t-shirts in the size I wanted. Super bummed about that.

Ok so 10 Barrel is great, its just up against an abundance of beer pub competition. The outdoor atmosphere is great, but if you have to eat inside its too loud. The beer is good, but I just love a few other IPA’s around town a little more. A place worth frequenting for great pub food with good beer though. I go about once a quarter to mix up my beer pub visits :)

I like this place and I don’t at the same time. Have I eaten there a fair amount? Yes. Do I actively crave coming here? No. When it first opened, we went and it was delicious food, horrible service. Now, I hear it’s getting better, and it does every time I go there. It is INCREDIBLE packed at all hours of the day. The pizzas are incredible! The service gets better. The parking is terrible(good luck getting one of the 10 spots they have). But 10 Barrel has become quite the brewery so it makes sense that their restaurant is one of the tourist’s top spots in Bend.

10 Barrel is always a place I go to when I come to Bend. It’s a must-see place w/a great menu & good drinks. It’s always packed, so plan ahead. Service is almost always good. Get the cuban sandwich — it’s amazing!

We tried to go here the last time we were in Bend, but the crowds turned us away. This time we arrived early enough for seats. It’s a great space — love the outside seats at the bar. Barkeeps are very friendly and helpful, offering samples of beer. I settled on the Apocalypse IPA, which is pretty solid. The nitro version, not so much. — Margarita pizza excellent. — Smoked salmon salad excellent. Dog friendly patio. This place can get loud from all the people but the music isn’t blaring. Street parking, but I guess that’s the thing in Bend. Recommended — one of the better brewpubs, and that says something in these parts.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. In fact, 10 Barrel was recommended by friends who came to Bend for a visit(they had eaten there about a year ago). So we went on a nice sunny day and enjoyed the outdoor seating. Little did we know, that would be the highlight of our visit. When our pizza came, my guests were incredulous. What happened? It’s half the size with not many toppings. So we asked the waitress. The gist of her tortuous explanation was that the smaller sized pizza would allow more to be baked at one time, resulting in faster service. This was a good answer? This was somehow working to our advantage? I thought good food was about good food. If your pizzas are that popular, then how about a bigger oven? As for the beer, one of our guests order the sampler(10 beers x 3 oz.). I tried a few. Just about all tasted skunky. The draft I ordered was skunky, too. So was that of another member of our party. Now, there may be an explanation for all this. I heard a rumor that 10 Barrel had sold out to one of the big breweries. That would account for the pizza size. I wouldn’t know about the beer quality, but I will say this: if your beer doesn’t taste great on a hot day, you’re in trouble.

This review comes from a single guy who has continuously failed to find a seat at the bar at either the bend location or the Portland one. The beers at 10 Barrel are no doubt some of the best(as anheiser Busch noticed) but in my humble opinion this place is way overhyped.

Disclaimer: I am a huge nachos enthusiast. I will almost never order anything else if nachos are on the menu so I was super excited to try the steak and Gorgonzola nachos from here. However, I ended up being extremely disappointed. My brother and I both ordered the nachos and while it did look visually delicious, it was literally inedible. This is coming from a guy who thinks nachos from Taco Del Mar with nachos cheese is better The nachos were ridiculously over salted to the point where I could not keep eating if I wanted to. This is a big deal for me because I never NOT eat food that I buy in restaurants. Both my brother and I had to return the nachos and we specifically asked if we could get a less salted version. Some 40 minutes later we got our second batch of nachos and while the salt level was slightly decreased, we both tried to share the nachos with the rest of our group of 10 but none of us could enjoy it because it was still inedible and we just called it quits and left it uneaten. Server was friendly and did not hesitate to take back the nachos for us but I cannot overlook the fact that I couldn’t even eat 1⁄5th of the dish despite being starving and having a low tolerance for eating less than average food over the years

Maybe it is just the big changes but I have been around Bend for many years and have followed the birth of 10 Barrel. Congrats and selling the business and it makes no difference to me but I have just never been a fan of their new place. The food is fine, not great just okay and a standard stright-up menu with inflated prices which is normal for Bend when not in a recession. Most of the people there on a busy night are loud, not my crowd, and seem to be there because they perceive it is the hip local place to be? I doono it is just a restaurant with okay food and good beer and a DUI favorite. The wait staff however does always seem into it so that’s entertaining if that rocks your boat. If you’re a touron you have to visit, take a selfie, sit by the fire pit, buy a hat, drink a beer, and hang out but for me there are better places to enjoy.

Eh this place is alright. I’m not sure if we just came in on an off day, but their nachos were INCREDIBLY salty. There’s salty, then there’s licking a block of salt, then there’s these nachos. Sorry, it was just that bad. They were really nice about it, and took it back to make a fresh one without hesitation. When it came back, it was still salty. They still put salt on the fries, and the meat was like eating salt. Really disappointing. It was interesting that it came with a choice of fries or chips, or both! The chips were like, kettle chips though. Not your usual nacho chips. The muscles and chicken pesto pizza were really good though! Highly recommend the muscles. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Also really liked the atmosphere of the place. Chill vibes. There’s an outdoor fireplace that would be cool to hang out at during the summer… not in March though. Line was really long Friday and Saturday night, so we came in on Sunday morning. I think they just opened since there was no one there. It got pretty busy as the morning went on. I think this place is just always busy since Bend is a small town and there’s not many places to go to. I love how they had sour beer here! Such a rare find! Ask for a taste(free) before ordering a glass, not everyone likes it :) All in all, wouldn’t recommend the nachos, and come here when it’s not busy.

Peeps, the decline of quality has now begun… right under our noses. Thanks Anheuser-Busch! It sucks when greed ruins a good thing!!! Why’d you do it 10 Barrel??? Why’d you change a good thing??? You had the best combo pizza in town and now you don’t. You not only SHRUNK the size of the large by 2 inches, you changed the crust recipe too. It’s now just a dried out cracker. I confirmed these changes with the waitstaff to make sure I wasn’t crazy. Until you change it back, I won’t be back!

YES! I love 10 Barrel. Their sours are NOT to miss… especially b/c I haven’t been able to find them anywhere besides the brewery since I’ve had these delicious sips :)

Now that I’m a permanent Bendite, I’ve had many opportunities to sample everything at 10 Barrel. Yes, there has been some controversy about the recent acquisition by Anheuser Busch, but I have not noticed much change since that happened. The venue, staff, beer and food all continue to be consistent and delicious. This location is always busy, so be prepared. The pizzas are one of my favorites in town, and while I don’t often visit on my own, it is THE best place to bring visitors. My family spans 3 generations ranging in age between 11 and 75, and everyone is always happy when we eat here. Good beer, great pizza, and a roaring firepit make for a great Bend microbrewery experience.

Fried Brussels are a delicious app choice!!.We’ve had the steak nachos before. They are also tasty. Overall the food is good. Beers are good. I’ve been here many times are the service is always just okay. I don’t think it’s changed any since the buy out; people need to calm down about it.

Came here this past summer for dinner and it was PACKED. While we waited to be sat, we went to the bar to order some beers/drinks. The poor bartender was tending to EVERYONE’s drinks with no relief it looked like. There seemed to be no order as to who got tended to – the people waiting in line, random people coming to the bar from the restaurant side, or the people actually sitting AT the bar… So we waited for some time. When we finally got acknowledged, the bartender vented his stress out on my boyfriend’s mom. He basically threw a menu in her face when she asked if they had any specialty drink. It didn’t bother her, but I didn’t appreciate it myself. After we got our drink orders in, the beers came, but I only got my drink after we got sat. Aside from that fiasco, everyone in my party enjoyed their food and beer. Our waitress was awesome also and let us try some of their beers before getting a full glass. I got this drink that had champagne I think with boysenberry syrup? So good! Would love to go again when they aren’t so swamped. Plus the outdoor atmosphere is awesome, especially if you love doggies(:

With great anticipation comes great rewards. I have been to a number of pubs. From small 10 seaters, to those that occupy two floors and can seat up to 300 and 10 Barrel is really a quality establishment. From the oyster shooters(tasty) to the gyro burger(pretty darn yummy), your stomach will thank you. But the star of the show is the carefully crafted brews. A showcase of several styles with a variety of IPAs to choose from(we are in the Northwest here, there are always good IPAs, but these are some darn good ones). The Belgian Double was really quite tasty, but the ale for my ailment was the Sinister Black IPA. One sample had me dreaming of a full pint. For my perspective, this place is a must stop on any trip to Central Oregon. I hope their corporate owners never meddle with the wonder that is contained within these walls.
