We went to 10 barrel to taste a flight of brews but it was crazy busy. The server reccomended johns and I rarely ignore a local suggestion. The instant we walked in we felt more comfortable at Johns.(Small place, local scene for sure) the server was awesome and brought us a flight of his own of IPAs for free… Score. Laurelwood megafauna was my favorite. We ordered two brews and a root beer, the jack sparrow(really tasty. I love grilled pineapple) the smoked chicken blt(ehh. It was ok. The meat was definitely yummy but the bread and cheese weren’t complimentary. I took my half apart and ate the chicken with the hummus and veggies…) and my son had a blackened salmon mac and cheese dish. Spicy enough to make sense to me ;) overall the food was nothing to rave over, but I love feeling welcome and appreciated when I pay somewhere to eat. Glad we came here. Wish I got the guys name. Great service!

There were two specials. Jambalaya and habanero tortellini. My husband says the jambalaya is the best he’s had outside New Orleans, it was very spicy. The Habenero tortellini brought out a very sweaty brow on my brother in law who pronounced it awesome. I had a burger and salad that were very good. The Boneyard Beer was outstanding though at 14.5% it wAs a good thing I only had ½ pint. Jamie our server did a fabulous job in very tight crowded quarters. We will be repeat customers:)

Banging food I got the fried chicken buffalo salad the balance in my mind to «health» and what I was craving. My boyfriend gor the ale house mac and cheese which every mac and cheese in the world should be modeled after. Beer selection great and the server was a fun chill dude who put up with my initial indecisive nature. Open late on Friday for food and entrée meals. I recommend!

I ordered the BLTA. Worst I’ve ever had. How do you screw up a BLTA. Not sure. The bacon was burnt to a crisp and the toasting on the plain sourdough was horrible. Zero flavor and overall the only thing good on my order was the clam crowder. The at least gave us a discount cause my friend’s food was over cooked as well. The service was ok, the servers were friendly. I probably won’t come back again, there are so many other better restaurants in Bend.

Had a burger it was great, possibly best in Bend. Good service, but it’s crowded sometimes. If you eat here, there is a good chance you won’t be disappointed.

Really love Brother Jon’s! Great food, great beer, and always good service. I will say that one drawback is that they are constantly really packed, and the place is pretty tiny. Definitely feel a bit stuffed inside, but I guess that’s expected if they’re that popular! One of my favorite food spots in Bend! Definitely recommend trying some of their beers on tap — ask your server. They’re awesome.

The food and beer are excellent. The acoustics are horrible. One of those places where you have to yell so that the person across the table from you can hear you. The salmon sandwich I had was delicious. I’m not sure what my dining companions thought of their food, because I couldn’t hear a word they said. Did I mention that the acoustics are atrocious? Go when they’re not so busy, whenever that might be. The food and beer are worth it.

Nothing brotherly or warm about this place. I can’t begin to describe how upset I was by the server’s attitude which my friends told me was unwarranted(I’m a realist and thought that maybe I did something wrong to upset her) Don’t ask her if a dish is spicy or recount the time you couldn’t eat the Thai you got from the Lot last time you were in town because it was too hot. Certainly don’t try to make her smile. She will come back to the table and curtly tell you that you are not getting that beer that you ordered. Unrelated but the biggest reason that this pissed me off is probably because I’m sad about a good friend’s death and unkindness is extra awful right now. I even said that to her and she continued to give me a bad attitude. Get another job if you hate people. You aren’t good at this. I’m not dramatic. I don’t think this ruined my trip to Bend, but I will always remember it. The food was also not good.

Overall I think this place could be a 5 but I reserve that rating for super special meals:) Hubby got the Hawaiian Burger and raved over it. I got the Bomb Chipotle Veggie Burger. It was so good. The bomb sauce is the bomb! I love that you can choose hummus and veggies as a side. The hummus even had a sprinkle of feta on it. The fries from my husbands plate were good, especially with the homemade ranch. My friend got the spinach salad and said it was good too. We had excellent service even though it was busy. We had the waitress, bartender and busboy check on us several times. I thought prices were good for portion size. And a 7&7 was $ 5.25, which seemed reasonable too when so many places these days charge so much for mixed drinks! This may become one of my favorite restaurants.

Great food! I like the spinach salad add salmon, my hub loves the Mac and cheese and the burgers. The specials and soups are always yummy too! Large beer selection, delicious mixed cocktails, and kombucha! Worth a stop!

Across the street from Deschutes and walking distance from Bend Brewing, Crows Feet Commons, and Silver Moon. Worth the quick stop in as they have a very bizarre tap list with tons of stuff I didn’t see anywhere else in Oregon including some one-offs from De Garde. Outdated interior, outdated menu. Food was average to just meh. Ambiance is Irish pub, overly crowded. Samples available but they came in shot glasses –__–

This place is my wife and I’s go-to restaurant. Best Cob Salad I’ve ever had in my life. Good enough to write a 5 star review about. Everything they make is excellent. We’ve eaten here, I can’t even tell you how many times, and it’s consistently good. The service is great. Great local beer selection on tap. The only knock that I can give them is that it gets HOT in there when it’s busy. Someone needs to find the A/C switch ASAP on the days when it’s 90*+ outside. Perhaps it’s a tactic for patrons to drink more. If that’s the case, well played Brother John’s…Well played.

Great place! Great service! Great food! Great prices! We got the Hawaiian chicken sandwich, the club sandwich, the spinach salad, and the black and blue burger and everything was beyond delicious! Except the fries. Just can’t get used to these types of fries — I like my fries crispy. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

We had the Buffalo Mac & Cheese(I think we would have liked the regular a bit more), an amazing Black & Blue burger, the Bomb Chipotle Veggie Burger, fries and salad… All were very good. The blue sauce was awesome!

Fantastic food and beer as well as friendly service. The new owner is really nice and the burgers are the best in bend. I would almost move to bend just to eat here.

This place was recommended by a friend who stumbled upon it because the wait was too long at 10 Barrel(which is next door). They re Ed about it so we have it a try and were very pleased with our decision. They have a patio which is one of my favorite things and the wait staff were friendly from the moment we walked into the door. We ordered the cheese dip and chips for an appetizer with a side of salsa. The dip wasn’t all that great but the salsa was good and the portions were generous. For our meal our waitress suggested the Roasted Jalapeño Chicken Sandwich. It was amazing! There was so much flavor piled on top of that sandwich! It’s a messy one but we highly recommend it!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bend. Great for a casual evening out. The Buffalo Mac n cheese, chicken carbonara and the Captain Jack Sparrow are my favorites on the menu. All of the pastas/macs are big enough for 2 adults to split or if ordering for 1, know you will have a ton of leftovers. Excellent food, service and pub ambiance.

As I waddle away from this place, I am reminded that I need to push my plate away sooner… no matter how good the food is. Between the four of us we had a burger, fish and chips, a Reuben and a french dip. And EVERYTHING was delicious! I had the French dip which had grilled mushrooms and onions, melted swiss, and lean beef, served on a delicious, soft but toasted, hoagie. Too. Much. Food… A relaxed environment with booths/tables lining three sides of the room, pub tables in the middle, and a bar on one side. A number of local brews to choose from too. Great food and service. $ 65 for all of the food, two beers and a soda. Not terrible. but definitely not a cheap stop.
