We recently purchased a Christmas gift from Gingers and had to return it due to a duplicate family gift of no fault of gingers. They were helpful and understanding and we will be purchasing all of our kitchenware here. Highly recommended, beautiful store.

Thank you Megan for helping me choose a great knife. Your input was very helpful and much appreciated. I sadly had to return it due to a duplicate Christmas gift, but the owner took great care of the situation. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

We were in here to look at buying a gourmet coffee maker. However, we left after about 5 minutes because of how unbelievably rude the associate was. She was extremely snarky and condescending. My husband and I immediately left and were so disatisfied.

I love coffee too much and stopped into Ginger’s to see what they had in the ways of espresso machines. I was impressed with the wealth of knowledge their friendly staff had, especially Ben. He let me know about the Nespresso machine that he thought would fit my needs, especially due to their recyclable pods. I was blown away by how much he knew and how friendly he was!!! I would definitely recommend Ginger’s Kitchenware for everybody who is looking to upgrade their kitchen!

I love Ginger, her husband and Ginger’s Kitchenware. I am usually in their store around the holidays shopping for my man for the holidays(birthday and Christmas). Sadly his birthday is close to Christmas, so my shopping is always done there towards the end of the year. Sad only because I would love to have an excuse to visit the store more often. Their staff is exceptional, how they keep track of all that merchandise is beyond me. The young Jon Hamm look alike who helped me today was spot on with my eclectic shopping list. Picked up the items on my holiday list. Ending up substituting one item which enabled me to pick up another item and stay within my budget. There are endless impulse buys, so many cool things, but I stayed strong. Ginger made a point to say«hi» to me, recognizing me from my annual trek to their store. That cou ts for a lot in my book. The level of customer service is exceptional. And I’m thrilled that a local shop has proven themselves at the Old Mill as a contender. Kudos to Ginger and her team for a great selection and great staff.

Special thanks to Nancy and Jaime. Spent time in the store as a promotional vendor(signing cookbooks). The store is fun and the staff is helpful and experienced. They were great to me and I heard great customer service and suggestions throughout the day. Need ideas? Looking for a fun gift? Ginger’s Kitchen is a great find!

After our Mojito and Margarita stop at Hola 2 my man and I decided we needed to make our own Mojitas. It was actually his idea. You know credit where credit is due. We wandered into Ginger’s and he began looking around. I cut to the chase and asked the lady where to find the mortar and pestle. She was swift in her quest to find all the ones in the store The first one was the favorite $ 17 for a green marble set. It’s not only beautiful but functional. I saw many other fun items there. Like a plastic six pack carrier that you can freeze in the freezer and then take it out and take your beer to the beach while keeping it cold. I almost bought one of those because of the novelty of it all and I don’t drink beer. I will stop back when I’m back in the area.

I said, «I want a mortar and pestle.» She asked, «Why would you want a mortar and pestle?» I said, «So I can muddle the mint to make mojitos at home.» She said, «OK. Well there’s a kitchen store around here somewhere.» Then she said, «There’s the sign, right there.» So we went in and asked for a mortar and pestle. Within 30 seconds, the staff at Ginger’s Kitchenware had 3 or 4 options right in front of us, and I picked the one that seemed right for making mojitos. Everyone there was ultra friendly and the prices looked reasonable. Thank you!

Ginger’s Kitchenware is closing at this Newport Avenue location at end of business Thursday(tomorrow — May 26). They will reopen in their new, larger location in the Old Mill District on June 6. For those familiar with the Old Mill Shops, Ginger’s is moving into the space previously occupied by the now defunct Allyson’s kitchen store and deli(375 S.W. Powerhouse Drive). Or part of the space at least as that very big store is being divided into two parts with other tenants taking over the old deli space. The bad news is that Gingers will no longer be a neighborhood store for me. The good news is the bigger(twice the size) Old Mill location will offer more convenient access to more people to shop there, more products from which we can select and cooking classes. So I’ll happily make the five minute«commute» to get there. Knowing Gingers will be out of commission between Friday(May 27) and the June 6 opening at the new locale, it means I better pop in today to get the 10″ cake pan to bake the Lidia Bastianich rhubarb cake I’m planning for this weekend. Because I know Gingers will have one; it never fails that they have what I’m looking for in harder to find items. And just in case you have something to pick up at Ginger’s too, thought the heads up about the close and reopen dates was good to share. It’s a Yeep thing to do!

more than a kitchen store, it’s more personal. find ideas on entertaining, that small little thing-a-ma-jig, test drive a cool coffee maker, and maybe a good recipe or two. always helpful, not your average retail experience.

The Good: Love this kitchen store. Have been shopping here for years when it was Millette’s Kitchen store. The new owner’s Ginger and Jake are great and very knowledgeable about all the latest kitchen gadgets. As I say you can never have too many kitchen gadgets and here you can always find something to buy. I love how they give out free espresso from there Capresso machines. I am saving up for one! The Bad: Stock is light as it is a smaller store. But they usually can order everything ASAP if it is sold out.
