Oh my gosh this is good. We ordered a bunch of the pulled pork plates for a birthday dinner. The owner delivered them herself. I am only halfway through my dinner but I had to write about this experience. Salad — tasty. Macaroni salad — really good. Cheese sauce a little spicy for me. I poured the sweet chili sauce over the pulled pork. Excellent!!!

This macaroni salad is out of this world, and the chicken is a life-changer. Great people, amazing food, consistent flavor — literally from the first day I tried it I don’t think I’ve eaten anything else for lunch. THANKYOU for bringing unique and delicious teriyaki to central Oregon! Literally never thought that’d I’d say that

I come here every time I go to the Lot. The gal thats always running it is the sweetest thing ever and always makes me a type of sampler thats SO good. 3 types of meat and the small lasts me 2 meals. The sauces are delish and can only enhance the already tasty meal. I love the Lot, but have to go when Mauna Kea is closed so I can try something else, as I always gravitate to it: P As far as fast food goes, this place can not be beat!

I love this place! Best deal in Bend, and the food is delicious. My favorite is the tri-tip, and I’m a fan of subbing the cabbage salad for the rice. Lexi and Tom are great, the most friendly of all the carts at the Lot. Check them out!

I have been to Maui many times and this food has nothing in common with the food I enjoy there. First of all the rice is not right. In Hawaii they use calrose rice wich is sticky. This was a cheap dry rice. The tritip was a bit salty and was probably marinated in a store bought sauce, if not, it had to much soy sauce. Fresh ginger, garlic and pineapple juice would help out the marinade. When you are eating the chunks of tritip it reminds me of stew meat constancy. The meat should be shaved in strips. The chicken is shredded and should be cut up chicken thighs. Rarely would a mixed plate restaurant use chicken breast, it has no flavor or moisture. There is no way this food was cooked to order. It has been in a steam table or it was reheated. Some of my favorite foods come off of trucks and trailers so that is no excuse for sub par food.

Love their food. Love the combination of creamy mac, rice, meat, and asian sauces. However, avoid the Wrap. Too much for too little food. Rice dishes on the other hand is more than enough food.

Really? Real Hawaiian food? if you want real Hawaiian food, go to Hawaii. Had the tri tip plate and I ain’t complaining. It tasted good, I felt the serving was plentiful, and the guys who worked there today — they were cool. As someone who spent some time living in Hawaii, you really can’t compare mainland’s take on ‘em. come on guys, they’re run by Haoles, be nice, they’re trying.

Love this place! My boyfriend and I frequently come here for our take out cravings. We usually share an order of the sampler plate which has all 3 choices of meat as well as a good portion of Mac salad and rice. I love their teriyaki chicken so much that I now just call it crack chicken, as it is that addicting. The staff is always super friendly and the atmosphere is nice and laid back. The lot has a nice selection of beer and lots of heaters to keep you warm on these cold bend nights. Definitely recommended!

I’m sorry, this place just hasn’t held up over time. The moistness and flavorfulness of the pork is inconsistent, and I find myself gravitating to Real Food Street Bistro’s pork tacos instead. The final straw for me was when I asked if, because I am gluten free and cannot eat the Mac salad, I could have a portion of the cabbage salad instead. Well, yes, but for their standard up charge — as if I’m adding it to my plate rather than subbing it out for something I cannot safely eat. So I ended up with a plate of plain rice and pork, and it was a less flavorful pork day. Plus, they put Saran Wrap over my plate instead of putting it a to go box, so I couldn’t put any sauce on it before I walked home with it. It was just such a disappointing experience on a taste and customer service level that I doubt I will go back. Competition is stiff at the Lot and you are going to really have to offer something extraordinary to stay alive there. Sorry, Mauna Kea. You are so nice, but you just don’t cut it for me any more.

I tried this place for lunch today and was utterly disappointed. My wife and I ordered the tri-tip and she got the small size and I got the large size($ 8 and $ 10 respectively). When we got our food, I noticed that we got exactly the same amount of meat and the only difference was that my dish had more rice in it. Like the dish was 90% rice. Strike one. We sat down and I looked at my food. The tri-tip was cut into large chunks, rather than the usual strips that you would cut tri-tip into. It also didn’t look like it had been cooked that recently. I took a bite. It was tough and tasteless, and I’m pretty sure that it had just been reheated from whenever it was cooked. Disgusting, and strike 2. Then I tried the rice. It was overcooked and mushy. Strike 3, and you’re out! I don’t see myself ever trying their food again, and I cannot at all recommend that anyone else try it either. It’s expensive and poorly prepared.
