Roots Salon is the best! People there are lovely and they know how to do your head. Amanda is the best stylist I have ever been to see. She took my nappy head and turned it into soft elegance! Thanks Amanda!

I live in portland and I miss Angela! She used to cut my hair perfectly every time. I was so sad when she moved away. She is very precise with her cuts, great at cutting bangs and amazing at doing long hair. I have been in roots and it is a super cute salon located perfectly between old mill and downtown and I will be seeing Angela every time I go to town! Go see her!

Kara is the BEST! I tried to highlight my hair at home and it turned out too orange & blotchy. She reversed the Orange instantly with a stain and then continued to highlight it and lowlight it till PERFECTION! She really cares about her clients and the art of hair styling.
Also she’s hilarious and so fun to talk with.
Really good products and atmosphere! Beautiful view of green trees :)

Kara did a fantastic job. I was pretty nervous about chopping my long hair short (well, short for me – still below the chin), and she really listened to my ideas and concerns. I also appreciated that she wasn’t afraid to put in her two cents — she suggested layers, for example, and they turned out great! It’s an awesome haircut. And she’s super nice, too!

Alicia Paris rocks! My hair always comes out awesome! I have really thick long hair that takes longer than normal to cut/​color. She never makes me feel bad about the extra time it takes. It’s always positive/​good vibes with her. I highly recommend Ms. Paris.

I recently moved into town and gave Kristi a call to give my hair a trim. She did an awesome job and was super fun to talk to. I really appreciated her taking the time to make sure that the cut was exactly what I was hoping for (which it was)! I’ll definitely be back :)

I got my hair chopped off the day after my wedding, a really big chop. Something like 15 or 16 inches. Christi was confident and able to handle such a daunting task — I have very thick, unruly, wavy hair. She did a fantastic job and was just really fun to be around. I would highly recommend her, especially if you are going for a dramatic change or if you have thick hair. So many hair dressers do not know what to do with so much volume and they freak out a bit. I am very pleased with the cut and the service — and the price was really great as well.

I recently had my hair cut by Alicia Paris at Roots salon and I have to say she did an excellent job on my cut and was super pleasant to meet. I have really long hair and wanted a face framing cut without removing much length, she delivered.

I got an amazing special online with Alicia for a hair cut, deep conditioning, scalp massage, and complimentary wine or beverage. I was way overdue for a haircut — the last cut I had elsewhere was a butch job, so I was a little nervous.
Alicia did a fantastic job, listened to what I wanted, and gave me the exact cut I asked for. I especially enjoyed the feeling of being pampered with the scalp massage and wine! The salon is in a neighborhood of converted house remodeled to accommodate businesses. It was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. I’ve already booked my next hair appointment. Very impressed, and I’d recommend Alicia at Roots Salon to anyone!

I got my hair done by Alicia today and I thought she was amazing! I’m very picky about my hair and haven’t gotten my hair cut in months because I haven’t found someone i trust enough. She did a better job than I expected and gave me several helpful tips to keep my hair healthy. I will definitely be coming back to see her!

I had my hair cut by Alicia while on vacation in Bend. It’s easily the best cut I’ve ever received, and I am *extremely* picky! Even as it has grown out, I receive compliments all the time. I told her I don’t have much time for styling (new mom), but she told me that wouldn’t be a problem. Just as she promised, most days I don’t even use a hair dryer, and it still looks great! Now I don’t even want to go get a haircut here in Seattle. Lol!

I don’t know about Christina but there are several other stylists and they are great. Victoria has cut my hair now for years and she is the best person who has ever cut my hair. She did my wife’s wedding party and everyone was beautiful.
Since she is so good it can be really hard to get on her calendar. Expect at least a month before you can get in.

Regarding the comments below, I’d like to address the negative commentary. I appreciate the feedback. As humans, we’re always learning. As Professionals, we rely on our clients to help us succeed. I’m sorry if you were unpleased. I would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss your concerns and address them. Communication is key and I work on this daily.
As for my hair services, I have plenty of very satisfied customers and feel I’m good at what I do. I invite you to give me a try.

I have been getting my hair cut by Christina for at least a year now. It saddens me to see the bad reviews as I love how she cuts my hair — and many of my friends hair as well. I have curliy-​ish straight hair that is hard to style because of its random-​ness and she has always been able to cut layers in my hair that are awesome!
I would definitely recommend Christina!

I will never go back to Roots, Christina at the salon butchered my hair gave me a shelf in the back of my hair. It was awful, and it took freaking forever. Please save your time and money and go to someone else.
