I usually order the dosa, or the veg manchurian. The veg manchurian is my favorite and I crave it so I have to visit this place a few times a month. The people who work there are friendly. It’s a casual place. It’s a quick pit stop. Don’t come here expecting fine dining, it’s a laid back place to get some tasty dishes.

It looks like this place is a wedding banquet hall in the back, but in the front it’s a self serve restaurant where you can order food at the counter and it gets brought to you to your table. For water and silverware, there’s a station where you can help yourself. My husband and I shared the mysore masala dosa($ 8.99), chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan($ 2.99). The food was very filling and delicious. This is the type of restaurant, where what you see is what you get, nothing unexpectant of ordinary Indian food. Prices were fair and gets the job done if you are in the mood for some Indian food.

After a long time I found the best place for Pastries and cakes. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The Biryani and Indo-Chinese was also tasty than other Indian restaurants.

I am from mumbai… I ordered dabeli and gobi manchurian, the dabeli was having some burned smell and manchurian was over cooked with lots of salt in it… I asked the person to change the dabeli… and give the fresh one, the rude person on the counter started teaching me instead of apologizing. …it’s not the way to run business. … He always have that attitude like they are the only place, but boss there are lots of places and good srevices… with respective owners, staff… Thanks

Aweful food and zero cleanliness(i was scared to sit my son on those sticky high chairs)…pls avoid this place at all costs… at least if you care abt ur health! Microwaved food with NO sense of taste. I liked food at these chain restaurants before and simply assumed it would be similar… but it was so disgusting that I had to run ASAP

I love their street food! I just hate the way guy gives look at front! One of the worst service you can get! I love their sandwiches Indian style! Stay away from Punjabi dishes good for chats and sandwiches!

We have been here several times in the past three years. Every time we go to Patel’s we stop here to grab a bite. Good: –lots of options: chat, a little bit of South Indian cuisine, Indo-Chinese, baked goods etc. –relatively cheap(compared to some other Indian fast food places). –convenient location next to the Indian grocery store. Bad: –Inconsistency in the taste of food, so variable that at times the food is perfectly made but other times you get underseasoned, okish food. –service can be slow especially in the evenings for the so-called fast food. We really like some of the chat items, Hakka noodles, chilly gobi etc. in the Indo-Chinese cuisine and the paninis. Check it out sometime!

Do not go to this place over the weekend. The food is bland and quantity too less for the price. Service us super slow and save your money and go somewhere else.

Samosas are to die for — easily the best I’ve had stateside. Chinese and Biryanis are also very close to how to expect Indian food to be. South Indian is strictly ok. The pastries are awesome — definitely get one. The Black Forest, pineapple and butterscotch are among our favorites.

Think of this as your regular roadside Mumbai indian restaurant — amazing food but terrible service. Once you get over the service, you don’t care. Food wise — average chaat, amazing vada pav — do not miss it, decent dabeli, great dahi puri, good desi chinese and delicious mango lassi. All in all, a solid desi joint for some good indian food.

We did a birthday party for my son in Feb, 2015 and had a worst experience. The party was for 40+ guests. They first provided 2 starters with limited quantity which was not even enough for all guests. Then they bought the main course and desert — rasmalai. They bought exactly around 30 and hesitated to bring any more. When we requested to get more they didn’t even respect us and shouted saying they cannot bring more than that. At the end of the party, while paying the final bills. When there are only 44 guests including kids they charged for 49 plates and mentioned that we didn’t count properly! Had a very very bad experience, never ever plan for a parties in Indian Hut, bensalem, PA!

More like Schmuck Hut. Food was mediocre and item was left off the order.

I thought they would have improved and went with that expectation… disappointing!!! The pav bhaji I ordered lacked flavor(where did all salt go!!!)… vada pav tasted of raw garlic and chole bhatura… yuck!## sincere request to them is to look into what they are serving…

I’ve been back many times & realized I under-rated this great little place. The food is authentic, fresh and perfectly prepared. Everything is delicious! I am wondering about the reviews posted for this restaurant. I suspect many of the reviews are deliberately harsh & written by folks who aren’t customers. They make little sense & don’t appear to relate to the restaurant.

So I’ve passed by this place a lot and honestly thought it looked so tacky that I really thought i’d never step foot inside. Well I have a friend who likes this place so I found myself going. It’s not the greatest dining experience, but the food is generally decent. I have to agree with previous reviewers though; prices are steep for the small portions you get and the place is not the cleanest(utensils still had old food stuck to them). I got a Mysore masala dosa which was alright, a bit under heated but edible, and their sambar is delicious, but it’s hard to mess that up. My friends got some naan(I was concerned it would be terrible based on other reviews but it was well cooked) and chicken tikka which was delicious! But the portion of then chicken tikka(for something like 13 bucks) was laughable. There was barely any chicken. I’d like to try this place again, I get the feeling they are really hit or miss in terms of what you order. I didn’t encounter any rude staff and the wait times for food aren’t crazy or anything. Maybe this place is better for take out.

I went here on a recommendation of a friend. Duh? I should have checked Unilocal first! There was only 1 person seated at a booth when I arrived. The man behind the counter was very nice, explained the vegetarian special for $ 7.99. Waited about 15 minutes and my order arrived. There were 4 items on a tray, some onions(supposed to be a salad) and a dessert in a plastic cup. Three of the four hot items were luke warm, the cauliflower dish was half warm and half cold and not very tasty. The rice was warm and cold as well. Not horrible, but I should have gone to the Indian Restaurant at a 4.5 star Unilocal rating. Word to the wise… go by the Unilocal rating. Thank you Unilocal

Should have listened to all the negative reviews. I ordered online, cool. Paid with paypal. Just kinda waited a bit and showed up since there was no time suggestion. Got there and the guy couldn’t find record of my payment. Swore I didn’t pay. Good thing I showed him the email receipt on my phone. I tipped $ 2(I have no idea why), checked to see if everything was there, left. Get home, they messed up my order. Gave me paneer Makhani not chicken, burned my naan(charred), the palak paneer was cold, and on top of it all, it tasted awful. I’m no stranger to Indian food. The Makhani tasted like spaghetti sauce. PLUS I had to pay extra for rice? A TINY container of rice? I’ll never order there again. First and last time. Waste of money. I guess I’ve been spoiled by all of the wonderful Philly Indian restaurants for all of these years(Ekta, Tiffin, etc.). Don’t order here. You’ll be angry.
