I’m giving MM two stars because their hours are downright AWFUL. Twice, I’ve gone here after 12:00pm for their lunch buffet(which is incredible) yet they weren’t open when their hours clearly state 12 is the opening time. It really irks me when a restaurant can’t even keep up on their hours.

Good Indian food. Wife and kids loved both the chole bhatura and the aloo gobi. I ordered mine«medium» but it wasn’t the heat intensity of the normal medium. Next time I’ll go the next level up. The naan didn’t last the car ride home, sadly. But it was indeed tasty. Terriffic mango lassi and mulligatawney soup. Will definitely come back again.

This place is responsible for one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. As someone who eats out an average of 15 meals a week, I understand what is acceptable and what is not. I have never been disappointed enough to write a negative review. However, this place deserves an exception. The place is dirty. Our tables were dirty. The table clothes were dirty. The floor was dirty. Our waitress didn’t speak English. And i am not talking about conversational English. She didn’t speak enough English to know which orders were what. So we had problems figuring out which food belonged to whom. Unacceptable. The wait time for our orders was extremely long. Not all the items ordered came. In addition, some items are only available as appetizers. So some people ordered appetizers and some ordered entrees. They brought out shish kabobs(just meat), and didn’t bring the entrees, side dishes, rice, or bread till later. I mean if they thought about it for a second they should have figured out that some people wanted shish kabob as an entrée. Who eats just meat, with no rice or bread. It’s also a flaw with the menu clearly. Food was ok. But nothing special. Have had better Indian in a mall food court. This place is complete rubbish.

My husband and I have come here several times, and we always enjoy our food. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. We havent tried the buffet yet because we miss the times they serve but I love coming here.

This would be a four star place, but they’ve started charging for rice. I’ve never heard if that and they never used to charge for rice, so they loose a star. That being said, if you are willing to pay for rice, then check them out. Food is tastey and expertly seasoned. Prices are reasonable. BYOB. Two entrees with a large order of rice with tax and tip came out to $ 40.

With living in Bucks County ethnic food is something to be desired. I love Ekta and Tiffin(both found on Girard Ave) but after moving the drive was getting ridiculous for some quality Indian. Not Anymore! My Boyfriend and I tried this place on a whim, and we are more than pleased to make this our new go-to spot of Indian. Everything is delicious and if you want something that isn’t on the menu, they will make it for you(I’m talking about you Kashmiri Naan). Don’t let the shopping center fool you this place is great, however it can get busy during dinner and sometimes service can be slow(that is why this place only get 4 stars). I eat take-out from here every Saturday and you should too!

My husband and I started going to this restaurant about a year ago, shortly after we moved to Bensalem. We were so impressed! And we’ve been back many times since! The first dinner we went, they were fairly busy, so service was not as great. I was also surprised that the entrees don’t come with rice and that one must order them. Most other Indian Restaurants I went to, the rice was complimentary with the dish … Either that or naan. Now if you want extra, then you’ll have to pay for them. I’m not sure why they would do that. So, for these two reasons, I have to knock one of their stars off. However, now, every time after after that, the service has been excellent. Maybe because they have more waiters now. But still no complimentary rice /naan. We’ve done the lunch buffet a few times now too. Always delicious! Always so full! We are sad that we’re moving to another location but if time permits, we will make special trips into Mirch Masasla just because we love them so! Prices are more expensive than going to Applebee’s, but it’s comparable to other GOOD Indian restaurants.

Good food. Prompt service. I was not overwhelmed with anything(food, service etc.), but was happy with whatever was offered. A good place for a casual dinner. We tried the Chicken Matter Keema which was good with plain nan. Portions sizes are pretty good. Between the 2 of us, we had1 curry, nan and an appetizer and could not finish it.

Mirch Masala has a good buffet. My favorite is the Aloo Tikki and green chutney. Recently they have stopped including rice with take out orders, it is available for an additional charge. I realize the economy is bad, but some people may not take to kindly to paying extra. I will continue coming here for the buffet though.

The 3 stars don’t even reflect the strip mall location! First of all, I can’t remember if I’ve had worse service in recent memory. For a packed restaurant(read ~15 tables, some small some quite large) they had exactly 1 server, 1 person to clear the tables, and 1 manager(who often doubled up as a server)…so go figure what the level of service would be like! We didn’t get napkins until we asked for them… after waiting for 10 mins, we had to wave frantically for the server to come up and take our orders. The food varied between fantastic to miserable. The bhel was one of the best we’ve ever had in the US(did I say we r Indians). The dahi batata puri was average at best. The chicken manchurian(usually a sureshot winner at most places that serve Indo-Chinese food) was THEMOSTPATHETIC thing I’ve had at any Indian restaurant. It was yucky store-bought chicken meatballs covered in some ketchupy sauce… not at all what this should be like! Finally, the chicken tikka masala was excellent. So it was really weird… how much the food quality varied. All in all, I won’t be back. Food Castle Express a block or 2 away is much better in my humble opinion. Still doesn’t compare to Oak Tree Rd stuff in Edison, but…

Solid Indian all-you-can-eat buffet for $ 10 at lunch had me willing to take a trip into what appeared from the outside to be a shopping centering on the downside of its life. Inside, the restaurant did an excellent job convincing me that the outside appearance was not under their control. The selection included in the buffet was good and the quality was above-average(for a buffet). I might even venture back for dinner in the near future…

We stopped by Mirch Masala on our way back to Philadelphia– it was easy to find, located in an old shopping center not far from I-95. We were seated immediately, and the restaurant steadily filled up throughout our meal. I’m a lover of authentic spicy Indian food and it made me very happy to see that the majority of the customers coming through the door were Indian — both young and old. An appetizer we had never seen on a menu at an Indian restaurant before — Hot Pepper Pakoras — immediately caught our eyes, and we decided to go with that along with our usual Malai Kofta, Dal Makhani(both 8⁄10 spice level), and Naan. After we ordered, our server brought us some papadums and chutneys– The papadums were nice and spicy and the chutneys were good– could really taste the tamarind-onion-clove in one, and the mint-cilantro in the other. Our appetizer was served next– the hot peppers were stuffed with a potato mustard seed mixture, battered and fried, served on a bed of lettuce. We took a bite, and it was spicy. Upon the second or third bite it became very very very spicy. It was no problem– we can handle the spice. However, the pakoras were not served with any chutney or sauce, our waters were nearly empty, and the servers weren’t anywhere to be found. For a second there, we felt a bit helpless. We had nothing to give us a break from the heat, so we resorted to eating lettuce while we waited to get the server’s attention. Thankfully, when he did eventually make it over to our table, I was able to ask for a pitcher of water, so this wasn’t an issue for the rest of our meal. Our main course arrived and my mouth is still on fire. Both my boyfriend and I immediately go for the rice and naan — at this point we can’t yet touch the main dishes. I’m thinking, ok, here we are at an indian restaurant eating rice and bread only! After a minute or so we are ready for the main course– after the pakoras, I can’t really comment on whether the malai kofta and dal makhani were really spicy or not. However, I can definitely say for a fact that they were both delicious! The dal makhani was perfect– exactly how it should be. The kofta balls were some of the best I have had, and the malai kofta sauce(though a tad on the sweet side) was delicious. All in all, despite the slow, impersonal service, we really enjoyed the food here and will definitely be back again, probably to get some take out.

Their garlic naan is out of this world! Portions are a little small but I actually appreciated that so that I didn’t stuff myself. We got Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were delicious!

Wow where to start… Everything I’ve ever had here has been delicious. My personal favorites are chicken saagwala, butter chicken, chili cheese naan, samosas, and aloo tikki. It’s really quiet here most of the time if you go early for dinner. The waiters are really nice and attentive about refilling your water. The buffet always has a great selection and is only about $ 10. I usually get things ala carte so it’s a little more(about $ 14 per plate). It’s probably the best indian food around. I haven’t tried Aroma yet… so we’ll see! The only downside is there isn’t free refills on soda. But it’s extra calories anyways :P

I think this is now my favorite place to eat. We love the weekend buffets! This is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. I like how they switch up the menu and everyone is satisfied from our vegetarians to carnivores. Try the various sauces and chutneys. Appetizers are wonderful. I really enjoyed their wings in a spicy rub. Every dish has a distinct sauce unlike the repeated curries you find in many Indian restaurants. The kids love the mango drinks. thick, rich and creamy. I enjoy the indian hot teas. Make friends with the waitstaff and they couldn’t be nicer. I recently found out they have a wonderful party room. We had fun watching the ladies in gorgeous beaded costumes going to a planned event in the back party room. A scene reminiscent of a Bollywood extravaganza! We also became aware that my now fave restaurant is a BYOB.

I was dying for Indian food and was going to try and hold out til I got to NYC, but with the help of the trusty Unilocal app, I read lots of great things about Mirch Masala. Sure, it’s in a burnt out looking strip mall, but good Indian is good Indian! So I was VERYEXCITED to go to MM! Upon entering the restaurant’s foyer, that familiarly delicious curry smell hit me! I couldn’t wait! Mirch Masala is a spacious, clean looking, nicely decorated restaurant with plenty of tables. There was one table of customers and we were seated immediately. My fiancé went to the restroom as we had been traveling and I waited at the table. He told me to order for him, but I knew that most restaurants wouldn’t take the order with one member of the party not there. A server came to the table and filled the glasses. Since he didn’t have any menus, I asked if it was buffet only and he said it was. I got up and checked out the buffet. As I’m a vegetarian and Indian food lover, I didn’t see anything I’d eat — pretty much Dal was all there was for my taking, and I’m not a Dal fan. I sat down very much disappointed and waited for my fiancé to return. When he came back, I told him it was buffet only and we sadly gathered our things to leave. As we started out the door, the lady behind the counter asked what was wrong and we explained that as it was buffet only, there was nothing for us. She then said we could order off the menu. While there may’ve been a misunderstanding, I just didn’t feel comfortable staying. I didn’t know what would happen to our orders — by no fault of Mirch Masala’s; just past experience.

I came here only one time… I was in town visiting my sister who brought me by. I’m a huge fan of Indian food, it was my primary source of sustenance when I lived in San Francisco for 6 years… So I’m a bit of an expert as well as a snob on Indian cuisine. I ate here once, and can’t stop thinking about it, and it’s been about two months. I’m dying to go back. Serious. The service is fast and friendly, the menu is huge with lots of great options, and the food was …*insert Homer Simpson drool sound*… I’m sorry to see that not everyone’s world was rocked by this place, but wow… I can’t WAIT to go back, and strongly recommend that if you are in the area, you try it at least once. Have an open mind.

This place was DELICIOUS!!! We had fast service and lots of personal attention from the owner who took the time to recommend and explain some of the dishes. The food itself was amazing. I don’t remember the name of our appetizer, but it was chicken kebabs flavored with yogurt, lime, ginger, and more. They were wonderful. For dinner, I ordered the shrimp vindaloo, which was VERY spicy(and not for the meek), but incredibly good. My girlfriends both ordered various chicken dishes, which were also very, very tasty. I ordered the garlic naan based off of another reviewer, and it was indeed covered in fresh, roasted garlic and incredibly delicious. The garlic naan is a MUST for garlic-lovers. We didn’t have any room for dessert, unfortunately. The entrees are reasonably priced– ranging from $ 10.95 — $ 14.95 each. Rice is included, but the naan IS extra. I think the garlic naan was only $ 2.95, though. The front dining room was on the smaller side, and there is also a party room in the back that holds up to 200 people. The only reason we know this is because we happened to go to eat during a 50th birthday party for a LARGE Indian family(170 people)! The women wore beautiful saris; this definitely added to our experience. As a side note, about 75% of the customer base was Indian… I see this a good sign when eating Indian food! I am thrilled to have found this place and will absolutely go back again and again.

Place was empty when we went there too, but soon filled up as the evening went on. food, service and ambiance were excellent. Had the chicken tikki masala and it was bangin’. had a nice appetizer, but can’t remmeber the name, nor could i probably even spell it. it looked like little pieces of tofu french toast with some green, yet tasty goo in the middle., but hey, aren’t most tasty things covered in goo ? So now that you know that this place is BYOB, i’ll save you the torture of having to watch another couple kick back a couple.

We had a gift certificate for this restaurant so we stopped in tonight. At first glance, it’s a clean pretty restaurant, but it was completely empty at 6pm! This scared me, but the service was amazing and the food was pretty darn good. If there were any low points it was the tomato soup(which I think was Campbell’s) and the powdered ice tea. My husband said that he had never had lamb that was as tender as his tonight. I also enjoyed the Korma I ordered — but I’m not sure it was Korma — at least it wasn’t like any other Korma I had ever had. The Chai tea was also yummy and the garlic Naan was covered in freshly cut garlic — YUM. If you don’t mind sitting in an empty restaurant and don’t order the tomato soup or iced tea — then this is the place for you.
