Went to dinner with the family after a softball game against Tombstone. I got the Barria, my mother got the #17 which is an enchilada and a taco, and my dad ordered three beef tacos. Everyone seemed satisfied. The place was busy, so it was expected that the service would take longer, but since it was so busy, it was loud, and the music certainly wasn’t helping. If the owners could read this, I HIGHLY recommend turning the volume down at least 5 notches, and maybe playing mariachi-type music. It would certainly up the Mexican vibe that I’m sure you’re going for. Despite the few negatives, I recommend!

My wife and I were very plesantly surprised. Great food and reasonable prices. I had a combination plate with a shredded beef taco, chile relleno, beans and rice. The food was very filling. The chile relleno was the best I’ve ever had from California to Texas! Our server was Samantha and she was great.

I had a beef tamale and ground beef encillada. The beef in the encillada was flavorless. Tamale was similar, even withe sauce. My friend had a birra stew which she enjoyed and she said was very good.

I always love coming to eat here because the food is always delicious and the service is great! My favorite dish is always the green chile chicken enchiladas. I recommend for you to try them with rice and beans!

I ordered the chicken mole, the chicken was a little dry, but I guess using white meat is healthier than dark, I think it would be awesome with dark though, but not bad. The rice is perfect, I can’t stand peas and carrots in my rice and this rice didn’t have that. The beans are great! Love the cheese enchilada and its sauce. You can dine in or take out, call in advance for to go orders, to make it quicker. Nice small restaurant, it was really busy when I went in a Friday evening. But I still got my take out order quick. Thank you

Very very good. Chips and salsa handmade. Chicken chipotle was excellent. Very niceIy painted(owner obviously reads these reviews and fixed what someone commented on earlier) I love sour cream so the blend of peppers & sour cream was perfect. Not too spicy hot and the chicken was moist and tender.

The food was average, service was good… Their spicy is bland to me but I live in Texas. I think we probably should have stopped at Taco Bell.

The food here is incredible! The shredded beef tacos and rice were full of flavor, and the portions were just right. They have a wide variety of combos, so everyone in your party will find something they can enjoy.

After a morning hiking through Kartchner Caverns, we stopped here for lunch. Service was friendly and good. I had burritos, and the other 3 in our party had various combination plates. We shared little bites of our plates all around. The food was tasty and plentiful, and, for the price, good. If you’re expecting gourmet – no. But for a good, solid meal at a good price, this is a place I would come back to.

We had to come to Benson for some business and had never been here before. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding!!! I’m allergic to wheat and they were very careful. To make sure that everything was not contaminated. We will be making the trip back just to come here for dinner

The food is excellent. The salsa is to die for and you can buy it up to a gallon. My ONLY problem is refried bean optical illusion. They use the round, slightly indented plates to plate their food so when the give you refried beans it runs thin and wide, looks like a lot when it’s barely a 6th of a cup maybe an 8th. Do you get what I’m saying lol! If not that, I’d give a five star.

I really don’t like to write bad reviews, but let’s be honest: this place does not serve authentic Mexican food. Perhaps as a native San Diegan, I have higher standards for Mexican cuisine. Someone else noted how bland the food was — YES — this was part of the problem. They do cater primarily to elderly gringos from the area, who can’t handle spice or salt and who are on restricted diets in general. My mom and I were appalled that they were serving tacos on packaged corn tortilla shells instead of fresh, though they did accommodate us and switch to fresh. So I will give them two stars for trying as well as for the meat being cooked properly. But the service was incredibly slow and were trying to get back on the road(driving across country). We actually had MUCH better tacos at Jack in the Box in Yuma! Seriously!

Decent place to stop if you get hungry halfway between Bisbee and Tucson. Space could use an update(peeling paint on the walls and such) but the waitresses were quite friendly and kept the water glasses full. The menu is extensive and has everything you could want. It was hard to choose. Three kinds of salsa came out right away. The chips took a few minutes longer. Chips were thick and good. Salsa was spicy!(All 3 kinds.) We liked the tomatillo best. Eventually I ordered the chicken mole. I guess usually it’s chunks of chicken but they had sold so much that day they were down to shredded. The sauce was just right, not too sweet. There seemed to be a lot more sauce than chicken, though. The rice and beans that accompanied it were sort of bland and boring. The corn tortillas were warm and tasty. It was a lot of food and I was unable to finish it all. Hubby had one of the many combo platters: taco, relleno, and enchilada. I didn’t really love the cheese. However, he inhaled the whole thing.

I had the green chili chimichanga and Jen had the shredded beef chimichanga. We got them work the green sauce on the side and they were both fantastic! The tortilla soup was also to die for. The best Jen every had and probably the beast i every had. The broth was fantastic there were chunks of avocado in it. Bam! Jules our waitress was top notch. Age provided the recommendations for both the chimi and the soup. After a long day i was thirsty and age was great on the refills

I really can’t believe how bland the food here was. Being this close to Mexico you would think that the food would be good. It was boring with almost no flavor. The taco shells looked and tasted like they were store bought. The chicken was dry. The tacos had gross shredded chicken(tasted like it was from a can) lettuce and cheese. They were almost inedible. Really save yourself some money and get Mexican food 3 times better at Taco Bell. Not joking.

Food was excellent, great prices. But we had horrible service. Not sure how in a restaurant this small we were overlooked. But, 4 tables were seated after us and they all had their orders taken and food delivered before ours. I ordered the combo plate 17, requesting both the taco and enchilada to be shredded beef. The taco was, the enchilada was cheese. Finally flagged a waiter down and he did bring me a shredded beef enchilada. Loved their enchilada sauce and the salsa. To bad the service did not match the food.
