My favorite coffee shop/resale place. I’ve studied at this café many times over last semester. It’s a good buzz with nice and friendly people. The mocha frappé is delicious when made right. And the chipotle veggie burger always hits the spot. I love that they offer books for so cheap! It’s my favorite part. All of the ones I own are in great condition!

Some what different that what you might expect looking in from outside, or passing by on the road. We just cam off the lake from a fishing charter, and were looking for lunch. We say the Café sign and stopped. Glad we did. They offer a nice selection of sandwiches, and baked goods. I have a Michigan Cranberry Turkey sandwich on Sourdough and it was a great sandwich. This place is a non-profit that is teaching people«job skills» so it is good to support them in their mission.

Went in to grab a coffee and spend an hour. I’m normally a black coffee kind of girl– but today I decided to stray from my usual. I grabbed a Mad Hatter with soy milk. A small cost me $ 4 and some odd sense. A little pricy compared to my $ 1 something for a black coffee. I will say I did appreciate that I was told soy milk was an additional 50 cents before I ordered. In the end the drink was delicious– glad I decided to stray. I did not grab anything to eat while I was here, but those that did all their food look led delicious. The staff were all pleasant– I didn’t have much interaction other than ordering my drink. I also enjoyed that this place everything was very green and environmentally friendly. What made Café Mosaic even more interesting was that it had a small book selection and a resale shop attached. I’m sure if I wasnt on a time crunch I could spend an hour or two in this place.

Great café. I had a very tasty black bean burger, my daughter had the grilled cheese. My pretzel bun was genius. Very well done burger. We shared a delicious raspberry scone – perfectly dry/moist. Didn’t try any drinks today, but they’ve quite a variety of coffee drinks. Big dining room with bright windows. Lots of patrons! The café is adjoined to Mosaic Resale Store, as an interesting side note. I’ll definitely come here again. Good vegetarian options.

The BLT and the vegan chili lived up to the reviews that made me give Mosaic a try. The apple butter really makes a great sweet and savory combo with the bacon. That combined with the mission of the place. I really appreciated Andrews honesty about how he ended up working at the café. I definitely will return. SZ

Had a great chipotle black bean burger there today on an amazing pretzel roll with really good pickles. Also had a hummus sandwich option for vegetarians.

This place is awesome. Love everything about it. Visited during a service trip in Benton Harbor and met with the owner who is a pastor for a local church. He is committed to turning around Benton Harbor and Café Mosaic is one of the ways he is trying to help. They have tons of used good, including tons of books for very cheap. I took my fiancée here recently and had some time to kill in between meetings with wedding vendors, so we came here, bought some coffee, and read for a while. Clearly a great community place. Tons of kids coming in, getting help with school work, saying hi to everyone, being friendly. When I was here the first time, we ate and the sandwiches were delicious. Each time I come to Benton Harbor, I will make sure I stop here.

–They have the best and most unique BLT sandwiches in the area, and they are investing in the people of Benton Harbor to bring life, love, and hope to the community. –All I get when I go there is the BLT because it is so good, you can enjoy it in their quaint, redeemed, rustic café with books all around as you watch the cars drive by with a cup of coffee or hot cider(when in season) at their new computer bar, complete with USB plug-ins. –Friendly staff who is always growing friendlier are led by my man Andrew who has such a crazy awesome story of restoration in his life. –While you wait for your drinks or sandwiches you can peruse the Mosaic Resale Shop and find some great items as well where you know all the money you spend is going to bringing change to the community and lives of the people of Benton Harbor. –I highly recommend this spot as a café, workspace, lunch spot, hangout for your bible study or dream space. Support them as they live, work and serve to change our community.

This is the only café in the Benton Harbor /St. Joseph area that has a manager who knows how to properly brew espresso based drinks and coffee. If you’re from Chicago, and are a fan of Intelligentsia, then this will be the closest to that quality. Granted, it still has a way to go before being completely on that«Third Wave» Coffee Shop level — but it’s the only one in the area with that direction. Not to mention, their sandwiches are delicious. I’m feenin’ for one right now.

Really tasty drinks & sandwiches. Got a BLT for under $ 5, and ordered the Mad Hatter(chai latte + earl grey + other good stuff) to sip on. Oh, man, that Mad Hatter really hits home. It got me looking up chai tea mixes on amazon. Was really close to ordering a 5lb tin, but common sense crept back in and I think I’ll just buy a little ‘un at Meijer instead. Anyhoo. It’s a really cool spot. Like others have said, it’s located in the Mosaic resale store location, which also has a used books section. Not sure how long this café has been open, but there are still some more tweaks to be done before I can cough up 5 stars. The baristas still need a bit more training. Probably a manual by the coffee machine so that he doesn’t have to keep going back and forth to look at the ingredients on the giant chalkboard signage? Baked goods are from Euneek in Benton Harbor, and are delicious. It would be nice if this place stayed open a bit(or a lot) later. Currently, it closes at 2 p.m., so get your early bird on and come in for some joe. or books. or just browse the knick knacks. or whatever. Just go. =D

This is actually for the thrift store, although the café looks lovely as well. I love the space, I got amazing deals(brand new $ 70 sweater with tags for $ 3) along with scarfs, gloves and jeans and spent $ 10. The people are friendly, the store is clean and just an all around great thrift store, supporting the community.

Great locally owned and run coffee shop. Serves socially responsible coffee and locally baked treats. The café sits inside Mosaic Resale shop… right next to the book section. Great place to grab a cup of coffee and a good book.
