Faces Skin Studio

It’s seven years later, and Faces is still my go-​to facial place. My 61 year old skin has never looked better. Genevieve uses the most delicious products that smell good and feel good, nothing feels or smells chemical-​like. Her studio is calming and private, there are no interruptions. It’s a beautiful experience.

Genevieve at Faces is fantastic! First off the skin studio is beautiful and tranquil — definitely a wonderful place to relax. Secondly, Genevieve is simply amazing. She has made my skin and eyebrows look incredible. Genevieve makes her clients feel relaxed and special, and really uses top of the line products to help your skin maintain a healthy glow. Definitely a delight to have such an incredible skin studio close-​by.

After several facial sessions… still LOVE Genevieve !! She does have magic fingers which take you to heaven for the hour or two you are in her hands. She has a great aesthetic sense, the oils and products she uses are amazing and her touch is almost healing.

i never thought i’d be a spa/​facial regular… with Genevieve, i feel like i’m visiting a friend who is a GODDESS… her sweet and genuine smile just makes each visit a super pleasure! Genevieve is incredibly fun and wonderful to talk to — the positive energies she exude is real and glowing… but wait until you see her photography! wow!
she’s magic. her fingers dance. her potions divine. she knows how to deal with the crazy stuff that happens with my skin and make it happy. and she’s the only one i’ll trust with my brows… she’s also awesome at colors and would blend beautiful makeup to bring out the best in my skin — too bad i’m too lazy to put on make up…
but the truly most amazing thing — the siddha treatment at faces… how did i not know about that decadent incredibly nurturing experience until now?! i felt like i was being pampered like never before. the smell of the olis Genevieve uses for the treatment makes me think of indian temple, pure and profoundly calming… i can’t wait to get it again!

with her, i actually feel like i can actually say «i have a person» & mean it. she’s great at all the services she offers & is flexible. most of the times i tend to think «man i really need a (fill in with poorly managed area on my end)» during work. the most inopportune time when you’re not supposed to make personal phone calls or handle your own business on your boss’s time. though thanks to the internet & genevieve’s great communication skills, i’m able to get a response via email about if she’s free to take me or not. others just ask me to call… calling doesn’t work for me, that’s why i emailed. plus, i hate leaving messages after hours cause i hardly ever get a return call. so, the fact that she is web savvy is a big plus in my book.

My facials with Genevieve are an absolute treat for the mind, body and spirit. I blissfully drift to sleep on her table which has always been rare for me while having a facial – I’m that relaxed. I leave without a second thought to putting on any make-​up b/​c my skin is absolutely glowing. The ultrasonic treatment she uses makes you feel like you’ve lost years off your skin. I love all the product she uses. She is a kind, gentle, beautiful human being – the complete bonus for spending your afternoon at her Kensington spa. I live in San Francisco and enjoy a relaxing weekend BART ride over to see her (transfer from Pittsburgh BayPoint train to Richmond-​bound train). It’s a pleasant walk to her studio from El Cerrito Plaza station. I’m as cost-​conscious as the next gal, and I love her facial so much that I have cut out other spa routines such as massage and do-​it-​yourself facials because I feel a visit to Faces Skin Studio covers my well-​being account.
Genevieve is the best at what she does, does not push any expensive product or treatment on you and truly cares about your skin and you looking your healthiest. I would recommend her to anyone.

Genevieve is the best!!! I have Roscea and a few other skin challenges. I’m amazed at the reduction in redness, irritation and bumps one week later. I will gladly come across the bridge from the city and be her loyal client. Whatever she did, it is amazing. She takes time to understand your skin/​issues from your point of view and customizes treatments that not only work but feel good. If you have sensitive skin — go see Genevieve. WOW!!!

I have been to Genevieve over and over again since she opened her new space, and love every visit with her! She is a whiz with my eyebrows, and gives the absolute best facials. I have really noticed a difference in the look and feel of my skin since I started going to her. Her ultra-​sonic treatments and peels leave my skin glowing and rejuvenated. Her studio has such a serene and relaxing vibe which makes me look forward to every treatment. I can’t say enough good things about her!!!
