This is definitely my favorite taco truck ever. Because the tacos are small, you have to eat about 3 – 6 tacos to feel satisfied, even though the steak tacos are to die for. And it’s not just tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. they also have an expanded menu of chips, drinks and more. Personally, I think they should add a little something to the tacos, not just meat(or veggies) cilantro and lime. I think they could maybe throw in a little beans, cheese and something else so you get the full taco experience and you don’t have to add those toppings for extra charge. Overall, great food.

A good spot for a quick lunch if I’m craving some tacos. It’s close to work and I don’t have to fight traffic down Gilman to grab something. Well, I should state that it’s only quick if there isn’t a big lunch time crowd around the truck, then your order could take up to 10 min or so. Most of the time, I can get something from the truck in less than 5 minutes. Tacos are $ 1.50 each — Your choice of meat(an assortment of various pork, chicken and beef) served up on a doubled up 4 inch round corn tortilla, 3 – 4 can satisfy my hunger. Drinks(cans of soda, Arizona tea, bottles of Mexican soda, water) start at $ 1 For burritos, I’d rather travel a little farther up into Albany for my favorite spot for burritos, Gordos on Solano. I don’t care much for the meat filled burritos here at Tacos Pihuamo, but the veggie burrito here will do in a pinch. Downside(at least for me) is that they only have re-fried beans and no whole pinto or black beans. Burritos are $ 5 for a regular meat $ 6 for super(includes sour cream and guac) Open Monday through Saturday right at the very end of Gilman, by the soccer fields and just down the road from Golden Gate Fields

I have no idea why this place in not on Unilocal!yet, and I felt the need to take the time to add them. This review is for their vegetarian offerings, I cannot vouch for their meat offerings, but they have the usual assortment of various pork, chicken and beef(tongue, cheek, etc). They do quesadillas, tostadas, burritos. tacos, nachos, etc. I’ve gotten their veggie tacos several times, and for $ 1.00 each they are bangin!(I think it’s $ 1.25 for meat) Tasty beans, nice helpings of cheese, lettuce cilantro and salsa, and a really tasty sauce that gives it both a little bit of heat and a lot of flavor. The super veggie burrito was also a big fat steal for $ 5.00, but not as tasty as the tacos. The horchata is acceptable, not the best I’ve ever had, not the worst. Don’t forget to ask for jalapeños and carrots on the side. They are open Monday-Friday 11 – 6 and 11 – 5 on Saturdays, so it’s obviously more of a lunchtime/early dinner/snack spot. $ 2.00 for 2 tacos hits the spot at 3PM before soccer practice! I keep going to help my buddy coach his team, and I’m not sure if it’s for altruistic purposes, or just so I can have an excuse to go by Tacos Pihuamo! There are picnic tables right there, right on the bay, so the view is awesome.
