The crab claw appetizer was great with happy hour beer specials… So we go for that a few times. Buttttttt the burgers and food sucked it’s hotel food. It’s a trap, about as local as a gas station. Manned by the foreign F&B students from the resort across the way after they get done with their hotel shifts, it has no vibe. Burgers a slathered in butter and tasted weird the rest fo the food was very bland and not worth the $$$$ but go for the happy hour beer$ and crab claws.

This place just opened this year and hopefully they will improve? Drinks are good and a big selection on beer, wine and specialty drinks. They also have a drinks and beers special every night Entrée: Pull Pork taco — good & tasty Beer battered fish — greasy and the cottage fries are soggy and salty The waitress got one of the orders incorrectly and the manager had to replace it for the correct one Now we had an issue with the appetizer, we ordered the Key West wings and they weren’t cook thoroughly. The inside was still raw and the waitress didn’t believe us so I opened one up for her to see and sent it back and asked them to take it off my bill. I’m just glad we didn’t get sick from it since some of us took a bite of it already! I won’t go back for the food but maybe for drinks only probably?

My wife and I saw this when we pulled into Bethany and since it was a short walk from our condo and had live music we decided to try it. We put are name in and were told 20 minutes so I went to get some drinks for us and the kids. Beers on draft were good and the bartender was friendly. However once we had sat there over 30 minutes I asked where we were in queue and found out we had already been ‘crossed out’. They have many people working there but very disorganized. Our waiter brought our drinks to the wrong table and my daughter found a bug in her water. Also to mention everything is paper/plastic so they obviously save money on dishwasher costs. The food was mediocre. Overall I would say the place is good for hanging out having a few drinks and listening to music. I have learned this is not a place to wait for 30 minutes for dinner. At least I can say I tried it. Will certainly stop there for SchockTop on draft and music in the future.

We were really excited to try this new casual place across the street from our ocean-front condo at Sea Colony — truly within stumbl… walking distance! This place is still new — only a few weeks old and is getting on it’s feet quickly. However, there are still a few things that could be improved. From the owners of the iconic Bethany landmark Cottage Café(known for their great Happy Hours, $ 5.99 Poffin Burgers, & generous pours) this new place is large, airy, has clear glass garage door walls, a breezy huge fan, NOAC, outdoor space with palm trees and promised live music. It’s a small Limited menu with seafood apps(ave $ 9 – 15) burgers($ 10 – 14) salads($ 12 – 18) and $ 8 kid fare. Mom ordered a Pinot($ 7) I had the Margarita crush($ 7) & Dad got a soda. The wine pour was a surprise(See picture) contrasted to Cottage Café Mom looked askance and said that my choice was the better one(heh heh heh) M&D got cheeseburgers(served with pickle & cole slaw on a brioche bun) and I got a half pound of steamed shrimp. Everything came out quickly and was of good quality. Mom said the burger was juicy and featured pickled red onions so tasty we’re going to try to make ourselves. The shrimp were small-med size, nicely steamed and lightly dusted with Old Bay. The manager came by and asked how things were we mentioned the smaller pour(remember, they’re owned by the same people as Cottage Café — we’re spoiled!) Dad said«did I insult your bartender as I came in?» he laughed and said«yeah, it’s a smaller pour than across the street — I’d have it larger but I’m not the owner» I liked the logo, casual atmosphere, location but the prices were not commensurate. More expensive than Cottage Café, I can see this would be popular with the 20-something crowd — as long as they could afford the drinks! Cheers Boathouse — I’m sure you’ll be fabulous soon enough! Just a few tweaks my friends and you’re there!
