We used to eat at this diner quit often. I’m not sure what changed but the manager/owner not sure, was probably one of the rudest people I’ve encountered. The food took forever. I spilled hot syrup on my leg leaving blisters and instead of I’m sorry I got«it says it’s hot» never will we go or recommend again.

This place has gone way down hill since the switch in ownership. Won’t eat here again. Food quality was mediocre and the waitress grabbed my bacon off my plate with her bare hands when she decided it was undercooked. Never gave me a chance to see it for myself. She brought me back a plate of burnt bacon to replace it. I didn’t eat it. Highly disappointed as this used to be a great diner!

This is a very cool place and exactly what you would expect from a diner. Clean and updated, kind of retro, great food and a really good price. Conveniently located close to our hotel. It would have been more convenient if the sidewalks were more complete but that’s not the diner’s fault. My mom and I had breakfast for dinner. The eggs were cooked well the bacon was crispy and really really good. Tasty pancakes with warmed syrup. The lady helping us was new but friendly and helpful as was the rest of the staff. We were disappointed that we weren’t in the area longer because we would have loved to go again. If we are back in the area I will definitely go here for breakfast/dinner.

Nearly every time I come into town, I stop at the diner! Great solid diner food, and friendly people. What else do you need? On occasion you may have to wait a few minutes for a table but it’s worth the wait. Great breakfast foods and portion sizes. I always look forward to coming back

Went here Monday night during the Snow Storm… Server was efficient, and friendly. She suggested the Yankee bean soup and she was right it was delicious. . We usually come here on Sundays and it’s always crazy busy… it was nice for a change to be able to relax . Thanks

After dining here for over 20 years when it was run by the previous owners who were nice and very friendly, we will never spend a dime here ever again with this new RUDE owner… When our breakfast was brought to our table, it looked liked slop and was tossed on the plate(what a mess). I spent most of my time swatting flies away from my eggs and homefries. The final straw was both our orders of french toast was black on one side and was place face down like we wouldn’t notice they were burnt. We brought it to the servers attention and she then told it to the owner at the register. SO when we went up to him to pay our bill, we thought we would get a «sorry for that» or something to that affect. But instead we got the RUDE answer of «well some people like it that way!» We were both shocked with that RUDE answer and just walked out… Let me just say once again, we just loved the couple who ran this diner for YEARS before they sold it to this RUDEBAS**RD!!! Good luck pal!, with an attitude like that you will fail very quickly…

What an Awful experience! What has happened to this place? Met with a few friends we haven’t seen in awhile for dinner. For a Friday night, the place was not real busy. Waitress is a regular has been there for quite some time but not sure where he head is at these days… Ordered breakfast because you cannot kill breakfast right? WRONG! Ordered Swiss cheese in only a pinch of it, got cheddar in the omelet that was all over the place! The home fries tasted like they had chemical all over them. To make matters worst, they were in a hurry to get us to leave. We are adults, both sets in our 50s… Not rowdy, not disrespectful, just having dinner. And the sour pusses of the new two owners… go back to basket weaving you do not belong in the customer service space… Truly a rip off. Dinner was inedible, and the waitress and owners need to be put on a slow boat to China or best yet, learn what being friendly is all about. WILLNOTGOBACK. GiGi and Lou, where are you guys?! You cannot be replaced!

Huge portions, super friendly staff, quick service. I frequent a lot of Jersey diners and would drive out of state to eat here.

Good food, good service. The macaroni and cheese bites were very good. The chicken bowtie soup was ok. I will come back again to try other things on their menu.

Old school diner. Out of this world service and food. Really great prices and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.

I came in late night and ordered a French Onion soup and it was amazing. Awesome service! I had a waitress named Linda and she was phenomenal. On point with everything. I would absolutely recommend this diner. If you go, ask for Linda!

I absolutely love this Diner. It has been my go to spot every weekend with my friends. It right off the highway and the food is great. The desserts are amazing and the waitstaff is even better. KATELYNISTHEBEST! She is super friendly and always has a big smile for everyone. She always remembers everyone’s name and favorite order. All of the night staff is great honestly.

I really loved this place. The food was great. I had a Ruben with fries, but you can choose from a few choices and dipping sauces most were home made. salad was fresh, blue cheese dressing… awesome !!! And so was the ranch My guy got spaghetti western, it is spaghetti with chili and cheese he loved it Portions were big, bread was fresh and delish. French onion soup was really dark and flavorful. Linda was awesome. Let us know about what was made in house she was knowledgeable about the menu, and she was really nice This place Reminded me of the place I used to go back home in Jersey. Thanks for the great dinner and the memories. I’ll see you for breakfast tomorrow morning.

This used to be my favorite diner. However, I recently had eggs for breakfast and I had two different strands of hair from two different people in my meal. I sent it back, but was so disgusted that I couldn’t eat. No offer to comp the meal. Never returning.

I had breakfast here with a friend… bacon, eggs, toast, potatoes… and it was good, solid diner fare at a reasonable price. The service was friendly and quick. There seem to be a number of reviews on Unilocal that slam this place. Based on my experience, I think they are unjustified. Definitely a good place for a simple meal.

Food is not that great, and it’s way overpriced. Took 30 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese and when it comes out there’s half an egg on it. Poorly ran establishment I will not be going back.

Best diner in all of Connecticut!!! The owners are great! Place is SUPER clean! The Belgian waffles are delicious and so are the omelettes. Best coffee around! Also try the chicken wings and sauté dishes! Fantastic service. The waitresses are very kind and service is impeccable. This place also has a full bar! Full liquor license. Great bloody marys!!! I highly recommend it! Easy on and off the highway. You won’t be disappointed.

They are awesome since they are open 24/7, our waitress was very friendly & the food was great. I had a chicken fajita that was in a wrap along with a side of rice. Great sauce & interesting combination. Definitely a place I’ll remember when I need to kill time.

I was really bothered by my experience here today. We live out of town, but are from the area. We usually stay at a hotel on Newtown Road when we come back to town a couple of times a year. We frequently meet friends or family here for breakfast before we make the 5 – 6 hour ride home. Today we met family. There were 8 of us. And the food was fine. Average for a diner. Nothing great. Nothing bad. Our bill, with tip, came to $ 80. We paid the bill, and while we had been there for a decent amount of time, we weren’t there for an extraordinary amount of time. Any delay was due to the slow service in taking our order. We sat for several minutes before it was taken. But within literally 3 minutes of paying the bill, and while several people were still drinking their coffees, the owner walks up and says«You guys have been here too long. I need the table to sit other guests». Needless to say we were rather bothered. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and next time, and each one after, we’ll eat elsewhere.
