Listen I have been to Meeting House many times — even threw a party with 100 people there. Great bar build, atmosphere, and food is good(hit or miss). However, the service is awful. I thought it was just being a new restaurant but its been a year. One of the managers is just flat, and the bartenders you will sit there for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I see similar reviews and many people are getting to a point won’t return, but not sure the management cares to address. The one I have spoken thinks she is an expert marketing — but would recommend listening to reviews to re-position and improve. We won’t go back for awhile.

Came by for valentines and had the signature Vodka Mariette cocktail– was delicious. Spot is always fun, clean, good energy and very knowledgeable servers. Was fun– Definitely coming back!

The Meeting House it’s right down the street from me but having heard both good and not so great reviews tonight was the first time my wife and I ate there. The good, the waitress was very pleasant. The bad just about everything else. The restaurant while having a nice casual atmosphere is very noisy with the sound of the other diners bouncing off the walls. The wait for the menus was reasonable, the wait for the meal after ordering 50MINUTES. There was no bread, no complimentary soda, just a sorry the kitchen is backed up. The food finally arrived, we had ordered two medium burgers, they looked ok but they were over cooked and dry, I’d say well done. Finally, I asked for the bill which took 15 minutes to arrive, by then I just wanted to leave. Overall I doubt I’d go back and in my opinion there are much better restaurants in the area. Too bad it had potential.

Been to The Meeting House 3 times now. First time stopped in for drinks with a girlfriend. Nice place, great bartender! Since I work not even 5 minutes away thought I’d go back & have dinner a few weeks later with a friend even though I’d heard mostly negative things about the food. Thought I would make my own decision! I ordered the«Baked mac & cheese»…Terrible!!! It was spiral pasta with a watery velvetta type cheese poured on top with some lobster tossed in. No baking done whatsoever!(Not sure it would have made it any better) I told the waiter it wasn’t very good & he said… oh that’s too bad!!! To be fair my girlfriend had a burger & fries. She said the burger was very good & we both agreed the fries were delicious. Last night stopped in for a drink with another friend. We decided to order chicken nachos. When they were brought to us imagine my surprise when the plate was a small bowl of that same watery cheese sauce(yes the one that was on my mac & cheese previously) with a few tiny pieces of chicken mixed in & surrounding the bowl on the plate were plain tortilla chips to dip in this watery cheese!!! Not sure how this can be called nachos!!! Needless to say I am done going here for any type of food!!! I feel I’ve given it enough of a chance!!! What a shame as it really is so convenient from my work location & very nicely remodeled but the food just isn’t worth spending my money on!!!

Great beer selection, and a very comfortable atmosphere. They also have couches and large leather chairs in front of a fireplace, with a large TV above it. Food is good and has good size portions. Very clean restaurant, bar, and bathrooms.

I must confess I was not very gracious on my first review of TMP I reviewed under the name R J. Of San Fransisco. Anyway while the experience was what it was, I could have been more patient with such a new place. That was then snd this is now! I am here to say that whatever problems they were having upon opening, Gary, Brian and Sam have certainly conquered them! My subsequent visits have been much more enjoyable. Super friendly and knowledgable staff, excellent craft beers and a surprisingly extensive wine offering. The décor has also improved and now TMP is a very warm and welcoming place to wet your whistle or have a party. I have also enjoyed some great salads and sautéed vegetables. Being vegan I am always making special requests(yes I am THAT customer!), and at TMP there is never any hesitation to make me happy. All in all I am so glad we finally have an excellent pub in the area Good luck TMP!

We have been to Pubs, here and overseas, and this is not a pub, its a sports bar. Dining area is near the bar, and there is not a lot in the rooms to absorb the echo. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. expected fish and chips or banger, but the only thing that is pub food is the burgers. Their fried lasagna was great.

The beers are good the service is good but the wings tasted like they were fresh out of a Tyson bag, into the microwave and sauced with 3 leftover packets of Chinese duck sauce.

My wife and I stopped in yesterday for an early dinner. There were a few people at the bar and a couple of tables occupied. The ambience was very sterile and unremarkable, I will get to the reason I mention this later. The waitress was nice, which these days is a plus. The menu is quite small, please add some sort of chicken sandwich, with a long list of specials. We had the calamari($ 12) as an app which was a little odd as it had a garlic aioli already on it, it was also quite chewy. As entrees we had the sirloin burger($ 16) and a shredded beef with grilled pumpkin($ 22). The burger was served on a cutting board arrangement, which was fine and the shredded beef dish on a floor tile, which was not fine. Both dishes were quite tasty but I kept coming back to the floor tile with each bite. Will someone please tell the chef to take his head out of his ass, I mean the guy has some talent but needs a lesson in presentation. Anyway back to the point about the ambiance. I would like to suggest a road trip for the owner(s) and manager(s). Jump in a car and head to The White Horse, have an early dinner, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a great meal. Now think about this real carefully. On what planet does what my wife and I experienced yesterday come even remotely close to an evening at the White Horse. Then can you please explain why your food prices are so frigging ridiculously expensive compared to an evening there. That’s why your place was empty folks, that and you served me my meal on a damn floor tile. Bloody fools.

I’m giving it a 3 but would love to upgrade to a 4 in the future. Dinner out with my 2 brothers, my brothers both really enjoyed their meals mine was just ok. Also the first beer we ordered was kicked(Maine brewing co «lunch» which is amazing too bad it was gone), a minor pet peeve but really, if your beer menu is paper just cross it out! Décor was really nice, staff was friendly if maybe a little green. Lots of beers, some nice interesting ones in the mix. Older brother loved his steak tips, younger brother thought his burger was amazing but my cuban sandwich was lacking in flavor. Piece of advise; if your meal doesn’t come with a pickle, ask for one. They are house made and awesome!

Been going here since it opened. Steadily improving. The best beer selection in the area. Great burgers. You seriously can’t beat the wide open space for big parties. Highly recommend!

Went back after six months or so. They installed what looks like sound dampers on the ceiling. The noise level was slightly better but still hard to hold a conversation. We were in the rear room too. My food was good the service was good. Happy hour prices were good. I might go back for some beers with friends but not sure to sit and eat.

My wife snd I ate dinner here on Friday 09÷18÷15. I passed by several times while the restaurant was under construction so I wanted to give it a try. The parking lot was full, which is a good sign, so we knew the restaurant would be busy. The restaurant has a large square shaped bar in the middle with seating around it. There is a room on the side with a fireplace, couches and a TV. Surprisingly, there was no one in it as it looked like a great place to relax and hang out. There are TV’s all around the room but I felt they should have been a little larger. The one negative about the atmosphere was that it was very loud even for a bar on a Friday night. They have a couple of sound dampening panels hanging from the ceiling but it doesn’t seem effective. They have a large selection of beers snd the menu consisted of bar type food and full dinners. I thought the bar food was fairly priced but the dinners were all about $ 20 which seemed expensive to me for a bar restaurant. We were promptly seated and service was excellent throughout our dinner. Our waitress checked on us several times throughout dinner to see if we needed anything. I had the Outside Inn burger which had blue cheese, onions and mushrooms and came with french fries. The burgers are huge and the french fries were very good. It seemed to me that the fries were fresh cut not frozen. My burger was very good but a little rich for me with the blue cheese but that’s my personal preference. My wife had the burger with straw onion rings, cheese and BBQ sauce on the side. My wife loved her burger. Overall, we were happy with the food and the service was great. I will definitely return to satisfy my burger and beer craving but I’ll order a good old fashioned bacon cheeseburger next time.

The menu was okay. I had trouble picking, not because there were so many good things to choose from, but because there were really no standout choices. I ended up having the«neat» nachos and the chopped steak salad. The steak was cooked medium rare, as I had ordered it. Both were okay, but forgettable. The table service was on the slow-ish side, but acceptable, with the exception of the drinks which took forever. It took 15 minutes for a beer to hit the table. For a place whose business is presumably centered around beer, this is totally unacceptable. Part of the problem is that the bartender was not actually at the bar the whole time. She seemed to be splitting her time between different tasks — a sign of understaffing. When she was at the bar, she was mostly chatting with a friend/co-worker who was sitting at the bar eating fast food. What strikes me is how many other reviews say more or less the same thing, yet nothing has been done to correct this. What on earth is the management waiting for? I would say this is a decent place to go if you’re with a group and not in any rush, but if you’re going purely for the culinary experience or speedy service, you’ll be disappointed. Others have complained about the ambiance/atmosphere/acoustics. Frankly, I think the look and feel of the place is actually unique and different and is right now the best thing going for it, if only they could get the place properly staffed. The place is new, so I’ll try it again in a couple months. Not ready for prime time right now, however. Based on the fact that nothing seems to have changed thus far, I’m not holding my breath.

After two visits, I have to agree with all the negative reviews. I live down the road and was excited to hear that this place was opening. First visit, July 2015(Friday night) — First impression of the space was by far the best thing about this place– nice, wide open, minimalist, clean. Went downhill from there. I understand that they recently opened, Wait service needed to get their act together. The draught menu displays the logo and origin of their 40 drinks and is stamped«kicked» if they are out. Well, this clearly wasn’t organized because it took me three attempts to get a drink that they hadn’t run out of despite not having the«Kicked» stamp on it. Maybe it was because it was a Friday night? Not quite, more on this later on my second visit review. Food– Two of the three apps my group of three ordered never came out. The only app that came out came out about three strides before the server brought out our entrees– French dip(3⁄5), burger(3⁄5), salmon(5⁄5). 2nd visit, September 2015(Sunday night before Labor Day ~9pm) — Parking lot is empty. Walk in with 4 other friends and one side of the bar is completely unoccupied and only 5 people on the opposite side. Cool, got the place to ourselves, keep it relaxed. We order our first round– and what do you know? Multiple attempts needed to get a drink that wasn’t kicked despite no «kicked» stamp. 40 brews on draught? Please. There were five customers in there; the host couldn’t stamp«Kicked» on their downtime? One of my friend got so frustrated, he settled for a bottled beer that he was able to see in the bar’s refrigerator. I just ordered and received my second round, when the five other customers on the opposite side of the bar leave. A few sips through that drink, the bartender offers us another round and says that he got a call from the owner that they were closing; this was last call for alcohol. I don’t even know if it was 11pm yet. We just looked at each other in disappointment. We declined another round. TLDR version: great-looking space. Two separate visits; many drinks kicked. Vast brew menu may not be so vast. Wait service could use work(from July visit). Food is okay; salmon was good; priced $$. The operating hours are crazy and seem like they shut down early if there are only a few customers(noted on previous reviews, as well). Not quite a legitimate business yet. Definitely incomparable to other pubs in this area. Major disappointment.

So glad to have a cool local spot that offers a comfy family friendly atmosphere. Excellent menu that has plenty to please all tastes! The variety of mixed drinks is pure fun! Adam was our waiter and we loved him!!! We will return and we’ll ask to be seated in Adams section!

Check This Place Out! 40 beers on tap, high-end modern pub environment, clean, and friendly staff. Oh, and they make an awesome cocktail –just ask for the«Baha Cold-Pressed Juice Drink». Happy hour is awesome with $ 2 off all draught beers, mixed drinks, and wines, so most draughts are like $ 4 and some mixed drinks are $ 4 too(during happy hour). Definitely worth checking out. Also it’s not noisy at all.

I met some friends here after work and I was expecting typical pub fare, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this is not the case. I decided to let the bartender create a beer flight for me, and she was able to decide what my taste preferences would be. There are 2 menus. A daily menu that is set and a specials menu. As far as the daily menu goes, I found it a bit boring. I am a pescetarian and I wish the vegetarian options went beyond the typical portobello burger. There was a burger that had a bourbon glaze and pepper jack cheese I would love to have tried on a bean burger or veggie burger. However, the specials menu was fabulous. I prefer to order specials since that gives the chef the chance to really be creative. I ordered the burrata cheese appetizer with a tomato jam and balsamic glaze. I was a bit hesitant with all the flavors, but the blended together nicely. Most places seem to give you enough toast for 2 bites, but it was not the case here. I found I had the perfect amount of toast. For my entrée, I ordered the special lobster pappardelle. It was incredible. The lobster was a full claw and tail over homemade pasta for only $ 18. I’m not sure where else I can find that quality and quantity lobster for such a good price. It was cooked with a light cream sauce. I was afraid the sauce would overpower the dish, but this was not the case. Since I think food should burn all the way down, I requested red pepper flakes and they just enhanced the dish. If I ordered it again, I would request it spicy. Overall, this place is new and has growing pains, but it has potential and is on it’s way to becoming a great meet up with friends.

Went here on two separate occasions. Service: well below average. Nice but much slower than any other place I have been to. It’s like they came from all other restaurants but were the worst server at that restaurant. Ambiance: this pub is supposed to show local teams. So please do that. Yankees Mets Giants Rangers Jets Islanders Knicks. Etc. Get someone to manage the shows that are on. Should be every sport on. The lounge area is nice but is not part of a gastro pub. Food: it is the worst food I have ever eaten anywhere. And they charge you NY rates.
