Cute ice cream shop with high quality gelato. They also have excellent coffee and tea.

There was a bit of a line on a Saturday night but I assume that was because the gelato is so good! They only let you have two samples per person so I tried the peanut butter and the roasted strawberry jam. If you get a small it includes two flavors so I got those two since it seemed like a good combo together(maybe a little PB&J?). It was delicious! I really enjoyed this gelato place and can’t wait to go back and try other flavors!

Came in on a rainy day(it has been doing that a lot lately) to enjoy some tea and company. Cute place. Friendly staff. Decent sized menu. Coffee, tea, gelato. But since is was pouring out I decided to warm up with some tea. I got the jasmine green tea. It was more jasmine then green tea so I was not really a fan. There was like 5 or so little tables and other people seemed to enjoy their gelato. The people who worked there didn’t mind that we took up a table for like 2 hours. So 1 star for hospitality and cuteness but the tea wasn’t good so that’s all I can give.

Absolutely love this place! The staff is fun and friendly! Out of this world gelato and killer caffeine.

They have great quality gelato, and a lot of flavors which are rotated around with the seasons. They also serve premium roasted coffee from Stumptown. Definitely recommend this for gelato and coffee lovers.

I’ve now made it to all the Dolcezza locations in the metropolitan area! Like the other Dolcezzas in the area, this Dolcezza serves up some of the best gelato D.C. has ever seen. Some of my favorite gelato and sorbet flavors include: black sesame, lemon opal basil, lime rosewater, avocado honey orange, valrhona chocolate amargo, hairbender espresso, Thai coconut milk, and that’s just a few. They also make great coffees here. Try their Stumptown hairbender espresso. It’s really good, especially made the Chemex way! Open Monday through Thursday and Sunday until 10pm, Friday and Saturdays until 11pm. Hours aren’t as long as some of their other locations. Half the fat and calories as regular old ice cream? Freshly made every morning? Unique and seasonally appropriate flavors, and local ingredients? Four for you, Dolcezza!

I always get the push pops here. Perfect size to feed that craving but not to much that it makes you feel guilty. I got thai coconut milk which is my favorite. Yummy.

Perhaps I got my hopes too high, but was extremely dissappointed with this place! We went mid evening and only a third of the display case was full. The selection was very limited. The quality of the gelato was average, not bad but not great. At $ 6 for a couple bites, I would expect a lot better tasting product. Overall, just not worth it! Much better dessert and ice cream options in Bethesda!

Love love this place! On the pricey side but so worth it! I’ve been coming here for a few years now and I’m never disappointed! Super cute environment and the staff are always very friendly. I agree that they don’t skimp you on the portions either which is great because at these prices you want to get your money worth.

In a nutshell: «Worth the ‘splurge’: A must visit that uses quality raw materials that result in delicious gelato» One of my favorite Dolcezza branches in the area. Great for a summer treat, with a nice outdoor seating area, and great in the winter, with their churros and hot chocolate. Definitely go for the hot chocolate, it’s thick and rich, one of my favorites. Perfect for dipping! They could stand to limit their free samples, though. I’m not one to knock free samples, but the line can sometimes get long because newbies and freeloaders want to try every flavor possible. That said, servers have been kind, and quick once you actually get your scoop. Another thing that I like is they don’t skimp on their scoops. I’ve been to lots of gelato places that really rip you off, and so far I don’t have the same complaint about this store!

The best chai I have ever had! Can’t believe it’s in the other side of the US. If not I would have come every day! I love the salted chocolate chip cookies that they offer as well as the almond croissant ! It’s in a great location but be sure to be ready to spend five bucks for a coffee maker than a tall in Starbucks.

Had the Valrhona Dark Chocolate and Indonesian Vanilla gelato. Mind blown by the chocolate. It’s amazing! Staff was nice. Worth the $$$. Love that it’s open late. Will be returning!

A pretty fancy little gelato shop that sells not only gelato but coffee and drinks. I didn’t get a chance to try their coffee, but they brew Stumptown for their cold brew! I tried their gelato and I think in comparison to other gelato places, it was okay. They do offer unique and interesting flavors, but the gelato was lighter, softer and more airy, rather than being dense and creamy, which is what I prefer for my gelato.

Pretty ‘cute’ little gelato place in downtown bethesda. Definitely some great gelatto to grab in the summer. There aren’t any froyo places nearby, but this does more than just fine for a quick desert after a night out in downtown. The atmosphere is really laid back. There are a few tables inside and outdoor seating to chat while you enjoy your desert.

For over $ 5 for a small cup of gelato – I mixed two flavors – sesame & thai coconut milk, a perfect combination. Store is pretty cramped, layout is odd, and barely enough space for a line unless you are out the door. However, there is outdoor seating in the promenade outside the store. Quick fix for your gelato cravings.

Best gelato ever… and I’ve had gelato in Italy! I decided to try the champagne mango and the honey avocado orange. The texture, was was very creamy even though the fruit flavors have no milk and them. The avocado was also very tasty and ended up being my favorite. The flavors in the honey avocado orange are so mellow that they compliment each other very well. It also has a nice light sweetness to it. The champagne mango was very good as well, I could taste the mango fruit in the mango! There was not artificial mango flavor used like other places. I can’t wait to come back and try the other delectables! I also heard people talking about how good the coffee/espresso was so I definitely want to try that for my second visit. If you enjoy authentic gelato, I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic coffee. One of my favorite places to visit in Bethesda row. I’m all about the coffee and not the gelato at Dolcezza. Also, LOVE the Alfajores! What an absolute delight to have coffee with delicious and soft cookies with caramel and coconut filling :) It’s a very chill place with laid back staff — Never received bad service at this place though. Only downside is that it’s tiny. Wish they open up a bigger shop soon.

Great gelato and sorbet, though a little pricey(but I guess all gelato places are a tad pricey so it’s about the same). Even better that they’re usually open until around 10pm or so, which usually doesn’t happen around the burbs. They have creative flavors that always differ between visits. Even if you know what you want to order, I would try a few flavors since they have such interesting combos, which are all so good. Most recently I got the salted caramel and the ginger pistachio gelatos, and they were both really good. Their coffee is also good, and I believe they brew stumptown coffee. The place itself is a bit small, so on days when the weather is nice, I get a cup and just walk around Bethesda row.

Dolcezza is a five-star triple threat. They have hands down the best coffee outside DC, besides Killer E.S.P. in Old Town Alexandria. The milkshakes are shockingly good, and if you’re a coffee lover, I’d highly recommend the ‘hairbender’ espresso shake. Also, naturally, their gelato rocks. Prices for coffee and gelato are normal($ 3 – 5 range) and the shakes are a tad pricey at $ 7, but there’s a solid three scoops of gelato in there.
