Always good for a shot of Tullamore Dew, a pint of Edmund Fitzgerald and any kind of burger or melt(or fish and chips if I so desire! It’s a treat…

Just in for drinks. Great selection on tap. Lots to choose from, cold and crisp. TV’s everywhere you look. The outdoor patio looked great too!

My wife and I have eaten here a few times now. The food is mediocre at best. The burgers aren’t bad but my wife tried a cheese steak and it was swimming in grease on the plate. I enjoy the craft beer selection, it is the only reason we have been there more than once.

We ate here as a group before seeing a show at Sands. Will not do it again. The menu is deceiving. Overcooked is the word of the day here at Taps or sits too long under the heat lamp. The Grilled BBQ Pork Chop was way overcooked and tiny. My wife’s Four Cheese Melt was cold as were her fries. The wings at the bar were very good, but the Bavarian Pretzels appetizer were overcooked too. Our waitress was talking to friends for about 10 minutes while our food was sitting in the kitchen window waiting to be delivered.

Hosted a company tailgate party for a couple of dozen clients to watch the Eagles game. The staff did a great job. Service was great as well as the food. The GM, Erik, was very accommodating in meeting our needs and making helpful suggestions.

Very nice local bar, the beer selection is awesome, the food is good and plenty of choices. Our experiences range from awesome to piss poor. There is no rhyme or reason for the inconsistency after being open for ½ year by now. But it’s all tolerable if it stays minor issues, so far.

Great beer list. British beers and a few odd taps I haven’t seen anywhere in the valley. I hate to compare it to the last business to occupy the building. However after renovations this place is a entirely different Resturant.

TAPS is for beer/ale lovers. 60+varieties on tap plus bottled & canned. Tried the sloppy joe & don’t recommend it. Too dried out — not much sauce, found a piece of burned mystery meat? in it. Grilled bun was like cardboard. best wings ever! Service was good. Going to give it another try. Much nicer ambiance than former Starters Pub.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and we had to wait about 20 mins even when there were empty tables visable from the waiting area! Once we were sat… it just felt like a cafeteria! Too open of a place. Wasn’t cozy at all. Felt like we were squeezed in amongst other tables. Waitress was prompt — however, the coconut shrimp appetizer took like 15 mins. It was delicious with an awesome presentation! My guest ordered a whiskey bbq burger and I opted for a buffalo chicken salad. Salad arrived with no dressing, 3 cherry tomatoes and 2 rings of onion, with a plentiful heap of buffalo tenders sliced. I feel like thier should have been more veggies on the salad. and also celery in the salad? One would think? My guests burger was great — however, it didnt have whiskeybbq sauce on it! we had to ask for salad dressing and bbq sauce! We shouldnt have to ask for things that were suppose to come with our meal. Anyways — the experience was sub par. We may or may not be back. Check it out if you want, however be prepared for average food and overall experience. Think applebees.

Tried this when it first opened and the service was super slow! I figured it’s just because it’s new and they were still getting their act together but I went back last week and it was equally slow. The first time I ordered the vegetable stir fry. I have some food allergies and intolerances so I asked if it was cooked in a wine sauce or a soy/teriyaki sauce and I was told it was the latter. When you think stir fry you think Asian, right? The fact that it’s served with cilantro rice should have tipped me off, as cilantro is not typically used in Asian dishes(with the exception of maybe Thai). It came out and it smelled unlike what I was expecting. It looked tasty though. When I tasted it, however, it tasted off. It seems to be cooked in a wine sauce, with what my friend identified as chipotle seasoning, which I am allergic to. This was not identified on the menu. I did not finish my meal. The second time we went I did not order food but my boyfriend did. He ordered the nachos and was unimpressed. They were soggy and tasteless. Very disappointing. Our friends like it, so we will only return with them most likely, and even then probably just for drinks. On a night when we aren’t in a rush, because we will probably be there forever waiting for our drinks.

We use to go to this location with friends when it was Starters. So, on St. Pats day we decided to try it again with some friends. Food and service was good. We really liked the wide variety of craft beer. Spent about $ 20 in food, mostly had drinks. Bill came to $ 58.

We had a lovely evening at the bar. Drinks and apps. The Southern Nachos come with pulled pork and was a great shared app. The bar was packed and there was an 1 ½ wait for the restaurant at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. The bar tender, Shay, was very helpful with helping us pick a beer and even let us sample a couple, in order to choose. I would definitely recommend making reservations if you want a table.

Coworkers and I went to lunch here. Definitely a place we’ll be back to. On-tap beer selection(lots of different ones, styles, breweries, meads and ciders too) was excellent — some great standards and some we hadn’t tried before. Burger was great — seasoned and seared nicely, ‘medium’ was actually medium and not rare nor well-done. Fries were great — not quite as good as beer-battered fries I’ve had elsewhere, but definitely delicious. With all the beers on-tap here, I think they have an opportunity to batter fries in different styles of beer and get different tastes and flavors on them — I’d love to see what they could come up with. Atmosphere was great — music wasn’t too loud, variety of TVs nearby with different things on. Chairs and tables felt solid, unlike some other sports bars I’ve been to. When you’re drinking a 10%abv stout, you want a chair that doesn’t feel like it’s about to fall apart under you. :) Also some nice big arm chairs in front of the fireplace, I could see sitting there chatting quite a while with a couple appetizers and a bunch of draft beers. Service was excellent — friendly, helpful, attentive, willing to converse a little too. Food came out of the kitchen in a very reasonable amount of time. None of my coworkers had any complaints about the food either. On top of all of that, it’s close enough to where we work that we can go there whenever, but far enough off that we’re not going to get interrupted. We’ll definitely be back. Hopefully frequently! This is the sort of place I hope does well and stays around a good long time.

This place had(still has) a chance to turn this into a good place, but right now it’s amateur hour. We’ve been 3 times, with same issues. The service is brutal. Bartenders and waitresses are college kids that don’t care, don’t hustle, and TWO bartenders blew their nose in front of us at the bar… and yes… neither washed hands after. Drink glasses sit empty, food orders aren’t taken, but there always seems to be 4 or 5 of them gathered at the waitress bar-stand talking amongst themselves. Atmosphere is good, plenty of beer selections and TVs, just get some experienced servers or this is just going to become a college bar, because everyone who is willing to spend money will head up to Copperhead. Food not great, but again completely salvageable with some care… chicken wings had a lot of black broken bones which its a bad sign… just buy some quality stuff. And if you’re going to serve tater tots as a side dish for an adult, do something funky with them… cheese, herbs, truffle oil, gravy… something so i don’t feel like I’m in elementary school C.mon, we really want this place to be good… need some alternatives.

This review is on behalf of my mother: she and her friend got cheesesteaks and they both said it had a strange, unpleasant taste, as if it had been sitting on the grill all day. Also, any cheesesteak lover knows the roll is key, and this was served on a subpar white roll. My mom asked for a pickle and then was shocked to find a 50 cent charge on the receipt(the burgers came with free pickles). Go figure. She won’t be back and I won’t bother.

Disappointing. It started with not getting a drink order taken for about 10 minutes. Then I had questions about the tap beers and the server was clueless… if your name is ”Taps”, you should be informed about what is on tap! We ordered the $ 9 cheesesteak eggroll and it was 1 eggroll cut into 3 pieces… tasty but WAYOVERPRICED, for a pubgrub place. Server took my husbands plate before he was finished. We had to ask for silverware. Burger was overcooked even though I asked for medium. Something is lacking in the atmosphere… the place is nice but too open and cavernous… very loud. All in all, disappointing.

Went last night(2⁄27) with a buddy of mine. The one thing that stuck out to me most, was the random, half partition that separated the bar from the dining area… Kinda tacky, but I get the idea. The beer/wine/spirits choices are abundant and pretty varying. I tried the Barleywine and… not my style: p Overall it’s a pretty nice joint, not a place you could really turn into a regular hang out, but just as good! Side note: Didn’t get there in time to try the food, but they had a good amount of options.

I wanted to like this place more than I did. Knowing it was started by the people who run Braveheart in Hellertown, I was expecting another more unique/niche experience or menu items. The place is nice, the food is ok… but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. We got southern nachos for app — they were very good. Then Whiskey Burger, Chicken Parm sandwich and some chili. All were ok, but not better than average, dishes you could get at almost any burger joint chain. The menu is ok but not very extensive. A good number of beers on tap. If this was 1985 it would be impressive and unique. But with all the micro brews, seasonal ales, hard cider, etc choices available this is no longer special. I can get same/similar beers almost anywhere. It’s not a unique experience. Service was good, especially for a new place. Atmosphere was very similar to the old Starters that was there, maybe just a little more hardwood. But there aren’t enough TVs and ‘stuff’ to make it a sports bar, it’s not special décor, the menu isn’t unique, it’s not a cleavage fest — It’s a good place for a nice meal, but not great and there’s really nothing that makes it very special. It’s a nice place, I’d go back again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get there.

Taps is certainly reminiscent of the place it took over(Starters pub), but the differences it does present are both appreciated and uninvited. They claim over 60 tap beers but I didn’t see that many when I visited. They had a nice variety however between IPAs and lagers and with that I was satisfied. When it came to the cuisine it was of an average pub quality. Notably, the stir fry was quite delectable. The staff and service there of was good considering they’ve just opened and it was very busy. I was pleased with the overall accommodating nature of their demeanor. The atmosphere was both inviting and relaxing. It was overall a pleasant experience and I would advise others to come and see it for them selves.

They did a great job modernizing what used to be Starters. The staff is very friendly. The beer list is long and varied, I had 3 different ones. The were very patient letting me decide. Lots of good stuff on the menu. Try the American Nachos which was sloppy joe and cheese piled on tater tots. I’m sure this place will do great!
