Order the Beth-Mex burrito with veggies! Collard greens and sweet potatoes on top of the traditional burrito fillings! YUM

I’ve been a long time and loyal Tulum fan. The food is no frills and consistently delicious. My go to order is a veggie Mayan mini-rito with a side of chips and salsa, and it never disappoints. Tulum is a staple on the south side and a great place to go for lunch or a cheap dinner. They make their own tasty salsas with varying levels of heat. The atmosphere is casual and the music eclectic… my type of spot.

Alright previously gave this place a great review off of much experience. But the burrito I just got was so terrible it truly deserves this update. Chicken was so dry. Potatoes were gross. It was truly foul. Used to be my favorite east coast burrito… That’s dead. Same menu but the ingredients are totally different.

Best Burritos in the area. Always friendly and gracious to me. Great for a quick bite after work… If I’m trying to eat«healthy», I justify it by eating a burrito bowl and removing any potential sources of anti-diet.

Excellent burritos. There is something about their burritos that is irresistible. Healthy, filling, yummy. A delight.

This place is my go to when I am sick of dining hall food and need something quick to eat on the go or while studying at the library, since it is literally a minute walk from Fairchild Martindale Library. I have come here many times, and am pretty familiar with the menu to know what not or what to order. A lot of the menu items can be a bit bland compared to other Mexican joints. However, after experimenting with the menu, the best item at Tulum by far is the veggie beth mex burrito. It is surprisingly way more flavorful and delicious when not adding any meat to it. I love how they put unusual veggies that are normally not in a burrito, like collard greens and sweet potato. This burrito is so good I have ordered it three times in one week before. The salsa accompaniments on the side are always an added plus(and they are so good), and I love how this place is vegetarian and vegan friendly. In regards to other reviews, the vibe here is a bit more chill, and thus service is a lot slower. The wait can be about 15 – 20 minutes, which is why the smartest thing to do is to order ahead of time when getting takeout. Overall, although all the menu items are not superb, I will definitely be coming back here again and again to order that veggie beth mex burrito.

A bit pricey but the burritos are fine. Service is typically slower than chain restaurants or a place like Hello Burrito.

I want so badly to be nice to this place. The burritos are significantly more flavorful and creative than Hello Burrito, their mom-and-pop counterpart across the river. My last one there had what I believe had to be cabbage. It probably wouldn’t be everyone’s style, but I loved that unexpected cruciferous SNAP! of the first bite. And the lived-in, homegrown slacker vibe feels like the real deal, even though the TV playing spots seems out of placel(even though I suspect it mostly plays eurosports, which I guess are the best you can do until we get televised roller derby). But the slacker vibe at Tulum extends to the service, and if it had just happened once, I’d take it as an off day. But I had to wait nearly 25 minutes for a burrito one time, when after everyone else had ordered, I eventually was the only one left waiting. Chipotle it ain’t. Tried them again several months later, and, while it wasn’t quite 25 minutes, I was again the only one there, waiting, waiting, waiting and. «Oh! Did you have the chorizo?» «Yeah.» «Here it is.“Reached out from behind the counter and gave me a bag that had just been sitting there. No apologies, and no acknowledgement that they had forgotten their ONLYCUSTOMER. And parts of it were cold. Not just the cabbage. Tulum, it is with no small regret that you’ve brought me to this point. Why oh why did you force me to stop loving you?

It’s a longer wait and less tasty food than Chipotle. They’re generous with the cheese but I was not overly impressed.

Love this place! It’s so annoying to see some people say it’s not authentic or like your traditional taco or burrito. Well no $h¡t! They call themselves«Beth-Mex» for a reason! It’s a Bethlehem spin on your traditional Mexican food. I personally love the Toasted Almond Veggie taco and am also guilty of getting that as a burrito from time to time. So good! I love the collard greens and sweet potato they mix in with their burritos. The house made sauces are a great accompaniment to any dish! Also I hear their wings are out of this world. I don’t eat meat but I’ll take my boyfriends word for it. He gets a half order every time we go! Service is quick and friendly. And prices are reasonable. Great vegetarians and vegan options. Order ahead if you’re in a rush :) we’ll definitely be back!

Im not entirely sure why this place has such high reviews. If the ratings are in comparism to Taco bell and Chipotle, then yeah I rate them higher. But they are located in Bethlehem! There are at least 5 places in a 2 – 3 mile radius that makes tacos and burritos way better and tastier than them. Tried a few of their burritos and tacos. Meh! And their much lauded wings. Also meh! For people who like less spicy, bland, «healthy» stuff, then this IS the place for you. But for those like me who like a proper taco or a burrito. You know, the ones where the tortilla is splashed with a little lard and the meat is spicy, tender and fatty. Where the food is absolutely delicious without any added sauces, salsas and embellishments. If you are looking for that, then do not come here. Read my other reviews for suggestions.

Best lil casual restaurant with mexican cuisine in this area. Ordered a ½ order of wings to start, which were meaty, plenty saucy and satisfying. Mahi-Mahi taco was in a large, fresh, crunchy taco shell with LOADS of fish. Friend ordered a chicken burrito which was generously stuffed with meat. Was pleasantly surprised by this hole-in-the-wall spot and will most definitely return.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been here but I don’t know why it took so long to go back. Got a Beth-mex burrito and it was so damn good! Ill definitely be back.

Wojo was right! This place is great. I really enjoyed the chorizo and the chips were the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth the trip. Update 12÷20÷14 Good enough that I went back the following Saturday when I was back in town. Good enough that I waited 20 minutes for them to open — got there at 11:40 but they don’t open until noon.(Completely my fault. I should have checked first) Definitely worth the wait to try the Wingarrito.

Coming from California, I know what good Mexican should taste like. Does Tulum taste like good Californian Mexican food? No. But once you accept that it’s not Californian Mexican food, one can enjoy the delicious Beth-Mex for what it is, and what it is is pretty damn good. I’ve gone several times and each time I’ve ordered the Mayan burrito. I get it every time because I’m one of those people who orders the same thing over and over again once they find something they really like. The pineapple salsa is absolutely delicious and compliments the guacamole well. My only complaint is sometimes the amount of guacamole is a little sparse for my taste. Definitely add some of their salsas to the burrito because on their own, they are not spicy at all. This place can get pretty busy around lunch time so be prepared for a 15 min wait for your food. Last note, the service is always friendly!

Very small business, the wait can be very long even though the line is not. Their nachos were very disappointing.

My fiancé and I ate here for the first time today, and we were very satisfied. We got two pork tacos(carnitas) and a beef and chicken burritos. The pork was very flavorful, as well as the beef. Awesome! The rice and chicken were a little bland but still ok. They have REALLY good house made salsas too. Only bad thing I can say they are a little pricey.(29.00 bucks for two burritos and two tacos with a side of rice). I know we are spoiled being from San Diego, so we know good Mexican food, but it’s pricey. It’s pretty good for the area though. This place is small and really cute inside. Reminds me of little taco shops in Mexico. Staff is friendly too. Would definitely recommend.

The place is small and cute. The service is very friendly. I got 3 burritos to go, and they were DELICIOUS. It wasn’t overpriced, clearly they try to feed Lehigh students a decent, mostly healthy burrito. My son had the chicken Beth-Mex, and really liked it. My wife had the Mayan which is like pineapple and avocado, with grilled mahi-mahi, and I had the Oaxacan Chorizo Burrito. If you get that ask them to add veggies, they put kale in, and it adds a nice crunch and offsets the saltiness of the chorizo. This place is better than any of the chain burritos so skip the drive all the way to Chipotle and get a better fresher burrito at Tulum.
