I’ve been getting shaves, haircuts and hangover relief from The Shave since it opened! Love this place!

I had NO problem with service, it looks like they have made huge improvement to their quality of service. The shave wasn’t bad, it’s not bad to give it a try once in your life, it’s expensive, but it’s an experience. So why am I deducting three stars? It’s because of the haircut. I paid $ 95 to get the worst hair cut of my life. How did the most expensive haircut of my life was also the worst haircut of my life? The guy spent 5 minutes cutting my hair, not focusing to the shape of my head, my head has a weird shape to it. Most hair stylist realize that and they spend extra time cutting it in a way that you don’t notice the flaw. A five minute sloppy haircut that has embarrassed me to leave the house for days shouldn’t cost $ 95(plus tip). Vinny, either lower your haircut prices,($ 95 is a highway robbery) or teach your boys the proper way to cut hair. I could have gotten a $ 10 cut in the hood and gotten a much better haircut. Just because your shop is in BH, it doesn’t mean you can hire anyone off the street and ask them to cut hair and charge an arm and leg for it.

I’ve been around to most all of the higher end men’s salons in the area and I have to say that the Shave takes the cake. If you’re the kind of man that likes to drink, watch sports, appreciates good music, and doesn’t instagram what he eats on the reg then this might be the place for you too. For all the people on here that are complaining like bitches about not getting a decent shave and spending too much for it — Go somewhere else that fits your budget and your whiny ass. Personally, I’ve had nothing but exceptional shaves and look forward to coming here everytime.

I went once for a haircut about 8 years ago and never went back because it was too expensive and not worth it. I must have given them my email address at the time because I just got an email from them asking for a review…

Always receive great, attentive & prompt service. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They go the extra mile in taking care of all of the little details that go into a great haircut!

I was gifted a signature shave. I had high expectations since their specialty is shaving and they are in beverly hills. I was greatly disappointed! When i called to make the appointment the receptionist seemed rude. When i arrived it was hectic, loud and disorienting. My guy was quiet and seemed uncomfortable. The shave was ok. I bled so much! Not sure how they managed to make me bleed because i dont bleed when i shave. On top of this, they didn’t even get all my beard! Wtf?!? DONTBOTHERGOINGHERE

My husband has been here twice. The first time he loved it.(Although, he was a little rushed and didn’t get the included drink.) The second time not as great. I had bought him a gift certificate and paid the tip, but they were doubtful when he informed them.(That makes me mad!) The shave was subpar(they had missed the hairs in his neck). Then, later that night, I noticed he had blood all around his cuticles on both hands. He said the girl was giving him a manicure and it hurt, but his face was covered so he couldn’t see. I paid $ 120 for his shave(including tip) and this is what he gets?!

I purchased a razor for my husband here several years ago. He loves it, but it has gotten a little crusty over the years. We stopped in two weeks ago to get a replacement. The staff was very helpful and told my husband how to clean it and repair vs. buy a new one. Thier suggestions worked and the razor is back to working beautifully. Great service!

My barber was weird(seemed to be from a prison-to-work program) everybody else in there was weird and it felt like a failed attempt to be an upscale gentleman’s lounge. The woman at front desk was rude. There was no place for my wife to sit while she waited(they also slapped a «velvet rope» down in front of her as she tried to follow me back to my barber). I’ve been here once before but will not be returning. Not worth it.

Saddens me that customer service lacks in this store. I will rate 5 stars on the barbers for the expertise and craft but not the cashiers. My husband goes here for his normal shave. We passed by to purchase a brush set for his bday which we did. We weren’t approached at all by the two women standing at the cashier desk but just received an awful look. Judging a book by its cover its a reflection of your character. I do hope that manager takes this into some consideration and discusses this with his/her employees.

Stopped going here years ago and switched to The Art of Shaving in Century City. Great decision. Don’t miss this place one bit. I hated paying an expensive price for mediocre and fast service. Wanted an experience every time and instead got the«how quickly can we get this guy out of here and on to the next sucker» treatment. If you want a professional shave and haircut while having a great experience and fair price go to The Art of Shaving in Century City. You’ll be glad you did!

This place is nice. They do a decent job. But honestly, its RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. You can get the exact same quality service, for a fraction of the price. If you want something as «luxourious» in experience, you can still find other places that are comparable but for ½ price.

Incredibly overpriced. Shave and haircut for $ 125 plus tip? Plus, the haircuts are pretty mediocre. I get a better cut at Oakley’s in Westwood for $ 25. I don’t like the attitude either. It’s one of those«you can’t be too rich or too thin» places. If your BMI is over 10, the staff can make you feel like a schlub who’s taking up valuable space.

When you arrive, you are offered a drink or water — which is nice. I have waited maybe 20 mins. for the service once or twice, but that’s not a big deal to me. The ‘Beverly Hills Shave’ is a great choice for the uninitiated. You feel great when you leave. Definitively worth it. The only thing I would say I don’t like is sometimes you are dealing with a girl at reception who acts like she’s too hot to be working any job.

My boyfriend had his haircut here and I feel compelled to write a review. $ 50 for a buzzcut that is completely uneven? Random long hairs all throughout his head(front and back). Worst haircut I’ve ever seen him get and also the most expensive. For $ 40 they do a much better job at the Art of Shaving.

First impressions are everything and we loved the location, the greeting from Vinnie was genuine and wow, this was truly an experience for the man of the house! We highly recommend The Shave!

Well there are several nice aspects to this establishment: sports on the tv’s, chess board, moderately attractive women working there, comfortable seating… But I am so appalled by the pricing and attitude that I cannot speak highly about anything. $ 50 for dry shave on my friend who hardly has facial hair and $ 20 on a trim around the ears and in the back. This while making our third friend wait an extra 30 minute to get a shave. Eek I will never recommend this place nor go back. Poor service and high price= bad shave.

Was given a gift certificate for a specialty 1 hour shave lesson this past Xmas. I called and made an appointment for a haircut and a shave, mentioning that the certificate I wanted to use was for a 1 hour lesson. Day of and the staff was warm and welcoming, seating me on time for my appointment. As I waited for my barber, there was some obvious discussion regarding how to fulfill the certificate and offer a lesson. Bottom line: Excellent haircut and shave… no lesson, and no offer of tips or advice. When I asked about particulars, I was told that they weren’t equipped to fulfill what they sold. Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes Will I return? Probably not. And the hunt continues for a quality barber who is willing to teach the fine art of cut throat shaving to an eager student…

The WORST customer service. First bad review I’ve written. I bought a $ 100 gift certificate for a guy I was dating and we broke up shortly after. The shave wouldn’t refund me NOMATTERWHAT. It’s not like I’m returning a used razor. It’s a friggin’ piece of paper. They stood up for their made up policies, not for building relationships. Shame on them. Try THEARTOFSHAVING in Century City instead.
